| Ok, now the truth is finally emerging....immortality is not going to be for everyone. Things are heating up. Rich 'may evolve into separate species' - Telegraph# Rich 'may evolve into separate species' The super-rich may evolve into a separate species entirely in the future due to enhancements in biotechnology and robotic engineering, American futurologist Paul Saffo has said. By Amy Willis Published: 9:19PM GMT 25 Oct 2009 The rich could all be cyborgs in the future. Mr Saffo, from San Francisco, says in the future people will be able to grow their own replacement organs, take specially tailored drugs, and use genetic research tools to alert them from any possible hereditary health dangers. He adds that tomorrow's world will be a fusion of biology and technology, where robots do the chores, cars drive themselves and artificial limbs are better than real ones. Related Articles
But Mr Saffo says these improvements would only be affordable to the super-rich. And because of this, he says, advancements may lead to a divide between the classes and eventually could lead to the super-rich evolving into a different species entirely, leaving his not-so-rich counterpart behind. "In the 1980s it was the personal computer - came out of the garage, changed the world. In the 1990s it was the web. The next big device to wander into our lives is robots,” he told the Sunday Times. "We may find we are absolutely dependent upon these electronic insects and that we don't even know we are dependent upon them until something breaks. "I sometimes wonder if the very rich can live, on average, 20 years longer than the poor. That's 20 more years of earning and saving. Think about wealth and power and the advantages that you pass on to your children." SS |

| Yeah - guess I'd have to start wearing makeup again - except I'm not "super-rich". This article answers the question many have been asking: If there are already too many people on the planet (pushing 7 billion), what happens when people are immortal in 20 years? The answer is only the top 1% or less of the global rich would have access to this technology. What happens to everyone else? Stay tuned for the answer to that. So - as Dr. Staninger and Jan Smith believe - that "Morgellons" is a failed experiment at making these cyborgs (half human half machine) or "transhumans" - what is happening with the rest of the population? I am well aware that this thinking is 'out there', but really no more out there than Morgellons itself is. Not saying I buy into this 100%, but looking at what IS HAPPENING in the Singularity movement, it does not seem that unlikely. Wait and wonder... SS |

| I'm with you on that, SS~ The earth will be nothing but a disease-ridden bank reservoir for big pharma to 'cure' the sick and disabled 'poor', the cyborgs won't need the nutrients and most likely will be off to the penthouse suite in some space station for the mega-rich anyway. Seems like only yesterday the only thing that I worried about was what length to cut my hair. Kritts |

| Yeah SS! I'm the little one on the white animal (?) ![]() This should be dedicated to Big Pharma... I can't be compromising in my thoughts no more I can't prevent the times my anger fills my heart I can't be sympathyzing with a new lost cause I feel I've lost my patience with the world and all And all the politicians and their hollow promises And all the lies, deceit and shame that goes with it The working man pays everything for their mistakes And with his life too if there was to be a war So we only get one chance can we take it And we only get one life can't exchange it Can we hold on to what we have don't replace it The age of innocence is fading..... Like an old dream A life of petty crime gets punished with a holiday The victims' minds are scarred for life most everyday Assailants know just how much further they can go They know the laws are soft conviction chances low So we only get one chance can we take it And we only get one life can't exchange it Can we hold on to what we have don't replace it The age of innocence is fading..... Like an old dream You can't protect yourselves even in your own home For fear of vigilante cries the victims wipe their eyes So now the criminals they laugh right in our face Judicial system lets them do it, a disgrace Despondent public worries where it all will end we can't protect ourselves our kids from crime the trend We cannot even warn each other of evil in our midst They have more rights than us, you cannot call that just So we only get one chance can we take it And we only get one life can't exchange it Can we hold on to what we have don't replace it The age of innocence is fading..... Like an old dream The age of innocence is fading..... Like an old dream |
