Okay, okay. I posted something relating to our story. I don't know if it was what THEY had in mind for a healthcare crisis story but I no longer care what people think. Just mentioning our struggle with a small hope that someone who can do something will notice it and DO something about this disease.

May 12, 2008 Dear Senator Obama, There are currently thousands of people just like me and my family infected with unrecognized diseases. If the disease is not publicly recognized and embraced there will not be any funding for the research and potential cure for the disease. The disease is then put into the hands of the Centers for Disease Control which in my opinion is NO longer working for the American people toward that end. One specific disease of this type is most widely known as "Morgellon's Disease" which affects thousands of families both here and abroad. After much public pressure congress included this disease in the Original Health and Human Services Bill S1710 which was dated June 27, 2007. Here is what Congress wrote in that bill which was later vetoed by President Bush. __________________________________________ July 27, 2007

This disease research has been outsourced with taxpayer money and been put into the hands of Kaiser Permanente of Northern, California. Since that time there has been NO information disseminated to the victims of this devastating disease or the medical community at large. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! There needs to be some form of OVERSIGHT and at the very least, TRANSPARENCY over this publicly funded research study. I have written every Congressman in my state to apply pressure to this end only to fall upon deaf ears. Will you help us?? This situation needs immediate attention due to the fact that the medical community and the public are being kept totally in the dark. The CDC completely ignored the Congressional pleas to make this disease pulic in the immediate future. Everyday, families with children and grandparents are contracting this disease of unknown origin and seeking out their medical professionals where the most frustrating situation and wasted time and money will inevitibaly will ensue. This causes not only great distress to families but extreme financial burden going from one doctor to the next seeking some answers. It seems infinitely dysfunctional and needs to be communicated to the medical community. This is all I ask. Thank you.
