Greetings fellow morgys: Just when I was getting comfortable knowing I could always rely on the curative powers of lemon, I found I couldn't find one bottle in the stores. I'm still looking. When the pepper contamination occurred, I knew there was always lemon. Why are cures becoming endangered?? The good news is that Lime juice is still available, and from what I have been reading, it's an anti-fungal, anti-bact, and antioxident also. I used lemon in my hair, bath, and drank it too. Now I'm going to see if I can achieve the same results with lime. Let's hope for the safe return of Lemon!!! I'm going to check out the coconut oil cure also. Thank goodness for all of your great suggestions. Blessings and healing energies to ALL: Faith

Is it the bottled "Real Lemon" you can't find? I know that the health food stores used to have a bottled organic lemon juice as well. You might look there, if you haven't already.

Well, that is predictable if they one day find e-coli on a lemon and decided to BOIL them and RADIATE them and MICROWAVE them before putting them on the shelves. It's like they know what the cures are and are trying to eliminate them one by one. The attempt (which may happen, actually) to make vitamins illegal without a doctor's prescription is the most obvious example you can get. We just can't sit back and watch this happen. we have to spread the word and take action on ALL of these attempts! I just finished fresh-squeezing a half lemon for my green tea with cayenne pepper. Already they cost 30 cents apiece, which is outrageous. If they are taken away, you'll see me in the news doing some outrageous thing. xo Kritts

Greetings TC and Kritts: Thank-you and yes - I found a bottle of lemon juice in a health food store! It's pricey, but well worth it. I'll use it a little bit less extravagantly now; like it's gold. I know how you feel. Just saw the petition and events in Canada, It's shocking. I was having the exact same thoughts on the insidious trends going on - attempting to take away our freedoms of healing ourselves by writing bills aimed at taking away our vitamins. This happened in United States, some years ago- It was going to be illegal to buy vitamins without a doc's prescription. The health food industry banded together to stop it. The AMA needs sick people and they wanted to make more $$$. What better way than to get in on selling of vitamins and products that actually help people? My baking soda cures underarm odor without aluminum. A recent article in a news magazine talked about the dangers of aluminum - how it works by clogging the sweat glands. Couldn't this cause lymph node issues? One cancer doc in mag said he would rather smell bad, than use aluminum. Now we are being subjected to irradiated veggys. Slowly with time our freedoms and healthy immune systems are taken away, a little at first, then more and more until people accept it with a numb resignation, because it was such a slow, calculated process. We with morgs cannot accept these occurrences on such an unconscious level because we are living the reality of these global issues each day in our bodies and with each breath we take. I will do whatever I can do to spread the news and petition about the events in Canada, and pray this will not take place. Health food stores and chains might gladly help the cause. Blessings and healing energies to All! Faith.

Healing energies to all as well as information we are obligated to pass around. As far as the vitamin thing being over.... I don't think it is, unfortunately. We have to be vigilant. We can't rest for a second. It's more difficult than we imagine. Things are being decided without our knowing. Irradiating all our vegetables....it's so scary I feel like I'm having a nightmare. It's being calculated, methodically and no one will know for sure except our grandchildren and they will ask us...."Didn't you know, MIMI??? what were you thinking to let this happen to me?" And we will say.... "believe me.....I love you so much.... I wish I could have done something that would change things I knew were going to happen. I tried. But without knowing exactly what to do left me powerless." Kritts

Greetings Kritts: This is a global emergency and we can stop it. WE HAVE TO. You're right. It will take Vigilance. It's like a virus that is moving from country to country hoping to find a place to nest. I will continue to spread the petition and website to every organization and person I can think of. I don't know anyone who would not be affected by this. People I spoke to, who didn't know- were shocked and angry. We can do it. Spreading the word is a powerful thing. Blessings, Faith

Some sour lemon facts: ![]() The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported in May 2008 that crops are down 12 percent compared to last year. Summer supplies come from South Africa and Argentina but low temperatures and late frosts have led to a fall in output. Higher demand from the growing middle class in Russia, India and China is also pushing up prices. Restrictions on the number of lemons reaching shores are caused by the stringent supermarket conditions which regulate the size, shape and quality of lemons coupled with relatively weak buying power.

Here is what may really be happening to lemon and other citrus crops. It seems that along with importing citrus into the US there was also from some other country an unwanted hitchhiker called a citrus psyllid insect along for the journey. Evidently this bug is tiny, but the damage it can cause citrus is enormous. Florida has been effected by this insect for the last two citrus growing seasons. There is no cure for the disease it causes which is called "citrus greening" which means that the crop never matures properly but stays green with a bitter flavor. This bug devastates citrus crops and since it was first discovered in China in the 1800's this bug has meant bad news. Evidently once it has killed the trees (the leaves turn yellow and the tree dies) that area can never again successfully grow citrus. The bug carries a bacteria (article did not identify) which is the agent which kills the trees. This bug has just been discovered in California. Meanwhile the Florida growers association has donated 40% of its budget to fund research into a control for this bug. It is now found in every major commercial citrus growing county of Florida. None of the known insecticides work to kill this bug. Neither does removal of effected trees control its spread. The discovery of this insect in Florida was first noticed in 1998 but it took until the year 2005 before severe damage was visible. Infection may escape notice for years before the leaves of effected trees turn yellow and its fruit fails to mature properly. Once this happens it is too late to do anything to salvage surrounding trees as the bugs have already spread to nearby trees. The full impact of the disease in Florida remains unknown as there have only been two growing seasons since extensive yellowing of leaves was discovered in some areas. There are evidently teams from the growers association going around spraying trees (why I don't know since the article states insecticides do not work) and removing effected trees. As a result of extensive losses and costly efforts to contain this bug production costs of remaining citrus are up 50%. This is bad news for US citrus as currently Florida grows 71% of US citrus, most of which goes towards juice, while most of California's crop goes towards providing fruit to the produce markets. Here is another article I found on this subject which discusses this subject in greater detail than my newspaper: Tiny Pest Threatens U.S. Citrus : Discovery News : Discovery Channel
