With all these nano technology and clone mixing are we ready to start eating cloned food. My question is, do you believe they should be labeled as cloned food or not? Would you have a problem eating cloned food? WASHINGTON - The government declared Thursday that food from cloned animals is safe to eat. After more than five years of study, the Food and Drug Administration concluded that cloned livestock is “virtually indistinguishable” from conventional livestock. FDA believes “that meat and milk from cattle, swine and goat clones is as safe to eat as the food we eat every day,” said Stephen Sundlof, director of the FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine. Officials said they don’t think special labels are needed, although a decision on labeling is pending.

Call me silly, but why would we clone animals? They don't usually have fertility issues and certainly don't have problems with having sex (never heard of a cow seeing a sex therapist). What would concern me is when the clones start having babies with the ones they were cloned from - seems like in-breeding to me - that can't be good for the genes. ![]()

I `ve been a veggie most of my life so it looks like you will all be joining me for linda mc cartney hotdogs .If they decide not to label it you would never know what you were eating so avoiding meat all together would be only option. UK is full of madcows and stuff so it should be avoided anyway, but i am veggie because i loved animals. Save the slug and all that

Even though this sounds very creepy to me. There are so many countries lacking food, this could help relive shortages of food, such as in Africa and other countries. But this is the direction we are heading, in the name of science. So they tell us?
