Default Toxic algae pose new health scare in China

I am sure China has been using these microbes for cleaning their environment as well.....in fact I would estimate that most wastewater treatment plants are using these microbes by now....they were really pushing these microbes in all the wastewater treatment plants in south east Texas in 1993 that this was the new and improved way to handle the nasties in sludge (chemicals and oils in the sludge) and once again after the process and the grey water was released into

oceans, rivers, lakes, and used for irrigation for our crops as this GREY WATER was deemed safe safe safe little did they know these microbes once freed into our environment would take over eventually.....contaminating the soil and reproducing for years and years without notice....

Well now China is seeing the worst threat ever to their water supplies.....TOXIC ALGAE....

I would like to refer also from the SilentSuperBug web site that this algae has been noticed forming near our own wastewater treatment plants and this could be why our fish and aquatic life in the great lakes are threatened right now with some sort of out of control VIRUS......

Here is the China news article.....

BEIJING (AFP) - Two of China's biggest lakes are under renewed attack from toxic algae that destroy plant and fish life and threaten humans in the country's latest pollution scare, state media reported on Sunday.

New satellite pictures of eastern China show the blue-green foul-smelling algae spreading in Taihu and Chaohu lakes, the Workers Daily newspaper said.

The toxic algae scare in Lake Taihu has already triggered government panic and forced residents of nearby Wuxi city in Jiangsu province to turn off contaminated tapwater supplies.

Scientists said that algae was still infecting Lake Taihu and had spread to Chaohu Lake in neighbouring Anhui province, where 40 square kilometres (15 square miles) of its surface were covered by the green slime, the newspaper said.

Local government officials were monitoring water quality "by the hour" in the lake, Zhang Bangguo, Anhui province Environmental Protection Agency chief engineer was quoted as saying, describing the situation as "grave."

Last Tuesday the algae scare in Lake Taihu triggered a demand for action from Premier Wen Jiabao, who was quoted in the media as describing it as a pollution "wake-up call."

More than 70 percent of China's waterways and 90 percent of its underground water are contaminated by pollution, according to government figures.

This month, authorities ordered towns around Taihu to shut down all polluting factories and meet new water emission standards by the end of June 2008.

and here is the link to the SilentSuperBug web site recognizing Algae forming around our wastewater treatment plants......also one of the HOT SPOTS for Morgellons is San Francisco Bay area.....

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA WITH GOOGLE EARTH (bio-remediation/ sludge and waste water treatment)

Distribution and toxicity of a new colonial Microcystis aeruginosa bloom in the San Francisco Bay

MICROCYSTIN-LR / FAST DEATH FACTOR
The microcystins are hepatotoxic products of freshwater blooms of cyanobacteria of Microcystis spp., M. aeruginosa in particular. Microcystin-LR, also known as the fast death factor, is the most common of the microcystins and presumably the toxin of choice to be weaponized. Although the aerosolized form of microcystin is the most likely threat, ingestion - even from natural sources - must be considered a significant hazard.
MICROCYSTIS-LR / PATHOGENICITY
**** Freshwater cyanobacterium Microcystis aeruginosa (UTEX 2385) induced DNA damage in vivo and in vitro
**** Microcystin-LR induces oxidative DNA damage in human hepatoma cell line HepG2.
**** Allergenic (sensitization, skin and eye irritation) effects of freshwater cyanobacteria - experimental evidence

Some links were giving me trouble so pasted the link to the page I found this information - go down about half way on the right side and you will see where this information starts and the links I have tried to copy and paste......more information regarding the health hazards of our NANO Designer Bugs in action....

They have really done it with the NANO Designer Bugs.......NO THINKING by the so called experts that when you take something safe and reduce it in size it is now VIRAL to anything that comes into contact......

Default Re: Toxic algae pose new health scare in China

Something I wonder about, how does the nano theory explain symptoms in people who have been sick for a couple of decades? I thought nanos were recently introduced into the environment. Is there something here I am missing?

China has polluted their major rivers heavily with toxic metals. Some of their people are now eating toxic rice, knowingly (short term life, in exchange for major illness later--what a terrible choice). Their rivers are also drying up, big time. (I do not even dare to think of the political problems which may ensue in Southeast Asia if other adjacent countries are eyed to help solve this problem.) Pollution in of itself probably adds to the algae blooms' appearance in lakes, rivers and oceans. I feel it is the toxic load (heavy metals, old viral and bacterial infections) of the body which heavily contributes to the susceptibility of some to developing morgellons upon exposure to causative factors (which so far have no official scientific explanation). I also believe genetic makeup which may increase susceptibility to morgellons. Genetic inability to handle mold in the body is perhaps one contributing factor (book Mold Warriors by Richard Shoemaker et al). Red algae exposure would surely contribute an extra mold load to those so handicapped genetically. There may be other genetic problems which could make it easy for morgellons to take hold as well.

I do feel that detoxing the body of heavy metals may aid in at least partial recovery from morgellons. Also for those with genetic problems in handling mold far infrared saunas may help some rid the body of both toxic heavy metals and mold via the skin. Not all can use this form of treatment, but it might be worth investigating. Detoxing (far infrared sauna and foot detox machine along with herbal treatment) has improved my symptoms. Along with some oral sprays which help remove toxic metals from the body.

Default Re: Toxic algae pose new health scare in China

Here is ANOTHER LAKE facing TOXIC ALGAE

They mention how they have spent 464 Million Dollars to clean up the pollution in this lake and now have the TOXIC ALGAE......what they don't say it how they have been cleaning up the pollution and I would bet a million dollars that with that kind of money involved it was BIOREMEDIATION was used for these bugs are not cheap....

now they have a new problem on their hands.....TOXIC ALGAE......killing everything in the lake.....as I mentioned in another post that back in 1993 one 35 gallon barrel of these MICRO designer bugs was $10,000 so designer bugs were not cheap either.....

it was a standing joke around the wastewater treatment plant where my husband was infected that they don't do anything that might kill the bugs they were so expensive....and the pH was very important to the process

is this the same reason our GREAT LAKES are in deep trouble.....BIOREMEDIATION is killing our planet.....some sort of fish virus out of control in the Great Lakes and killing the fish or how about the fish in certain rivers now have fish with lesions on them.....

they have released these organisms to clean the chemicals and oils and nasties from our environment weather it is soil or water without ONE THOUGHT to the other consequences of their actions......set them free and are now reproducing and infecting anything coming into contact with the high price bugs....

in fact around the wastewater treatment plants near San Fran Bay area there is also an ALGAE BLOOM forming.....and will only get worse and spread if the use of designer bugs continues your BAY AREA will be doomed by this process......

They have infected the planet with their designer bugs.....and we are in deep trouble

BEIJING (AFP) - A massive algae bloom has spread out over another of China's big lakes, despite hundreds of millions of dollars being spent on years of clean up efforts.

"In recent days, due to the hot and humid weather, a large amount of algae has bloomed in Dianchi Lake, turning the water as green as paint in a stretch along the shore near Kunming city," the Oriental Daily reported Monday.

"Wave after wave of rolling green lake water laps up on the shore giving off an awful stench."

Dianchi, in southwest China's Yunnan province, is the country's sixth largest freshwater lake. It has suffered from severe pollution since the early 1990s and is plagued by algae blooms each summer, the paper said.

The bloom comes after algae choked Taihu and Chaohu lakes, China's third and fifth largest freshwater lakes respectively, in late May and early June, underscoring the state of China's degraded water system.

More than 70 percent of China's waterways and 90 percent of its underground water are contaminated by pollution, according to the State Environmental Protection Administration.

The Taihu scare affected tap water for millions of nearby residents although the poor state of Dianchi means people do not rely on it for drinking supplies.

The algae bloom at Dianchi comes despite about 464 million dollars having been spent to clean it up from the early 1990s to 2003, according to a 2006 report from the government's China Research Academy of Environmental Sciences.

About 175 million dollars of these funds were from World Bank loans, it said.

A report by the US embassy in China said that more than two billion dollars had been spent on cleaning up the lake.
