| So I am not sure if my symptoms are getting worse, or if I need to change my protocol, or what. Today I can feel them crawling a lot, especially on my legs, by butt, and in my eyes. Maybe it's because I've been coming into the office so much and so my chair is really infested; maybe it's because the pants I'm wearing were washed two days ago (but have been in a plastic bag since). Maybe it's because what I'm doing is wearing thin. I've been using the eyebright drops in an eyewash for about a week, which seemed to help, but I've noticed increased activity for the past couple of days. Interestingly, my eyelashes, which had been broken and twisted for a long time, have grown back. I have also noticed that the crawliness has increased a bit, where before I would go up to three days almost symptom-free. The worst part is, that my mood has changed, and I am feeling very depressed and hopeless, and have an underlying anxiety all of the time. I have recently resumed exercising again, and am doing some lymphatic stimulating things, but have experienced soreness in the glands with that too. My ears have cleared out, but now I can feel activity in there too. I'm more tired than I was before, and I'm actually sleeping better. I've experienced quite a bit of fiber balls falling off of me after my nightly showers lately when I apply the tea tree and lavendar oils, but my feet are bothering me more than they did before. It's such a mixture of positive and negatives, that I don't know what to think or what to do next. I wish I could talk to someone about this, but as we all know, there is noone. I can't even believe that I fleetingly considered that maybe it's not worth all the effort... I salute you all who have dealt with this for so much longer. I am afraid of some of the fleeting thoughts I've had lately. How to keep up hope? |

| Ann, it's likely that what you are doing is working and you are having some herxing. I truly believe that if a treatment is working, then symptoms will get worse before they get better. Hang in there. Everything you describe sounds like a Herx Reaction. |

Thanks so much for your words of encouragement. They mean so much. I'm like a blind person in a maze... |

| Yes, I have increased crawling. I have also been somewhat headachey and slightly nauseous, some slight congestion too. One thing I have also noticed is that I was always freezing before, and now my body temperature seems to have regulated itself. As of a few days ago, maybe a week or so, my hair isn't falling out in the shower like it was, and the paper cuts on my hands are much better. But the increased activity has me worried. |

Any progress is progress. It sounds like you've gotten better. That's HUGE. Don't get depressed just yet. This thing is so resistant to anything, so feeling better means you're one step closer to beating it down. The key is to keep it there. I wonder if you can put plastic on your office chair at work... |

I am looking for a vinyl pillow that I can take with me not only in the office, but anywhere. If it were only summertime, I would find one easily, but now it's almost winter, they're nowhere to be found. I'll probably have to order one. |

| I haven't had that sensation, but I have felt as if something is crawling up my feet from the floor at times. Honestly, we may not all have the same thing. For some reason the parasitologists think that we don't have a parasite problem in the United States. Why wouldn't we? We have troops stationed all over the world, bringing back whatever they brush against home with them. Are we that naive to think that they won't thrive here as they did overseas? My husband is military and I won't let him bring a thing back in the house that he used overseas. His boots and things he's still using, so there's things I can't control. If you can't find a totally vinyl pillow, you can always encase one in a vinyl pillow protector. My whole bed is enclosed in vinyl, including my pillows. |
