| I totally understand. I use to work every day, and I also had a life, until this disease took over, about over a yr now. I also feel isolated, and feel very badly about not giving my granddaughter who I have guardianship over, and have to rely on other family members to do things with her now. I also don't spend hardly anytime with my other granddaughter now. Or my friends and family due to this disease. I have lost everything I worked all my life to get. I am a young 47 yr old grandmother of two 8 yr olds and can't show them a life of being a child and what a grandmother gives them anymore... I feel ashamed, lonely, sad, depressed, angry, etc, all the emotions that go with this disease. Not only the financial burden that has maxed all my credit cards, and being on disability now. I have always worked hard since I was 16 yrs old. I feel like a loser now. What happened???? |

| Thanks for all the good info. Sticking to my plan - so far, so good. I do have a few questions for TCM related to herbs. First, the ladyslipper - what form should I look for that it - like a tablet or in bulk to brew or what? I have a great co-op near by so I will start there. Also, I know there is a parasite component to this. I have taken ivermectin before but just can't do that drug anymore. I have never done a parasite cleanse but I am sure it would be helpful. I've seen various ones mentioned but just wondered if you have a favorite product or protocol? My diet is very good (minus the occasional chocolate) and my weight is below normal so I need to make sure if I do a cleanse that I maintain where I am at and don't tax my system. |

| You have not failed anyone, you are doing all you can, you took care of your children, now your taking care of others children and on top of it all your sick. Do you have support for these grand children, do you also have custody, I do not know if custody matters or not, if you have there are government benefits that are greater for family members that take care of others children. You are the exact reason why this country has benefits, because you worked for them and really have gone beyond the envelope trying to do more than your share. Two 8 year olds holy moly, this kind of a situation can be many things, it will be alot of work for sure, it can also be too much for you alone and then it can be the force that saves your life by giving you something to live for. If you are having trouble with bills, the best you can do is sit down with a tablet of paper, write down all the bills that have to be paid, deduct that from the amount that you bring in, look deeply into the costs of all other things you buy. No matter how much children want toys and games, special expensive cloths, sneakers, including ice cream, cookies, cakes or other useless food, they all have to go. Then also expensive foods altogether must go, is it chicken or steak, take out food or home made. There are alot of foods that are good to buy in bulk, also they sell them in alternate packaging (CHEAPER). If the kids do not understand and needle you give them poor peoples eating lesson 101. Buy what they want exactly for the first week of the month, explain if you buy the expensive brand of cereal, you will not have the money to buy anything next week. A breakfast of boiled potatoes will stop the nagging quick on the second week. Do not imagine this will harm them, children need to be taught everything, (waste not want not). It is not shameful for anyone to be poor, but it is shameful to squander money so you do not appear to be poor. If you are really hurting show up at the pantry's set up to feed struggling families, some of the people that go there are just greedy people trying to fill their pantry's to save money. Many, of these Church's give out meat, bread, canned goods and cloths. Myself I never shop at the store for cloths, salvation Army have too many brands new cloths sitting on their racks for 10 cents on the dollar. I used to tell my daughter we were going to a very exclusive French clothing store, LOL, K Mar TAE or K-Marts. Too bad so sad, I will not buy, hyped up anything, not for me and not for anyone else either, call it cheap, call it stingy, call it what you may, but I have no shame. You know my mother used to work at Montgomery Wards, she bought all our cloths at the bargain basement, LOL, these were cloths that were lets say, TOO MODERN for other mothers to buy, so when the nehru jacket came out, I had one, when the beetle boots came out I had them, when Paisley Print shirts came out I looked like a freaking acid trip, LOL. Needless to say, I hated these cloths, these cloths made me stand out, but then these modern and some times too garish to believe cloths actually got me complimented in school by other kids, LOL. Poor, done me good, I do not expect the best out of life not even when I worked all my life real hard, I do expect to live, under cover, eat and be warm and comfortable, I do not expect super TVs, Cable, the best food, the latest computer or camera. It would be nice if I can walk through the forest and my legs not hurt so bad that I cry, that would be nice. When I need it, I expect to collect what is owed to me by the government, I expect to get what I paid for and worked for. | I am sorry I missed this post earlier today....I just wanted to reach out and let you know I am thinking about you. It seems especially unfair when trying to do right you get dealt a hand that is so incredibly wrong. I can tell how much you love those kids and I know the feeling of heartbreak when you cannot be the kind of mom/grandma/friend/partner/etc. that you used to be. I am sending you a PM - we can support each other though this. |

| Sorry to be so long in responding to you Zen. Too much static here. Anyway... I have not used this particular parasite cleanse, but I know this company is a very reputable Western herbal company, Gaia Herbs. I have used some of their other formulas in the past. Overall I found them to be very effective herbs. You can find various online sellers who carry their products, often at discount. Their parasite cleanse kit is called Supreme Cleanse and is described by them as being gentle, extremely important if you are losing weight. You don't want to shock your system with hash laxative herbs, especially if you have no expert help to make sure you are headed in the right direction. This is what it said on their site about their Supreme Cleanse: Living in today’s environment exposes our bodies to a variety of toxins and pollutants. Gaia Herbs’ Supreme Cleanse is designed to support gentle detoxification and assist with elimination.* This safe and effective cleanse stimulates the natural role of the liver, a healthy lymphatic system, digestion, and elimination.* Our 100% herbal cleanse contains no artificial ingredients, synthetics, or harsh laxatives. The unique two week program ensures an effective cleanse that’s gentle on your system and perfect for busy lifestyle. I guess that the herb Lady's Slipper is making a comeback after it was nearly killed off by over picking. It surprised me to learn this as it's been unavailable for a long time. The American Botanical Council has a sister site where they sell this herb in powdered form, both capsule and bulk. Their site is called Herbal Extracts Plus. Prices seem reasonable. You can also find this herb in extract form, made by various companies online. I think the website iherb has one, but there are many other sellers listed on google if you do a search. quote=zenmorgie;82253]Thanks for all the good info. Sticking to my plan - so far, so good.
