Default Special Olympics

Special Olympics State Games are this weekend in Atlanta. Hubby is going up on Thursday with the swim team he coaches. I am afraid to travel because I get so dizzy and weak. I have never missed my son's games since he was old enough to compete.
No good news at all for me this week. My principal refused to allow me to go into the alternative teacher certification program. It would have saved me thousands of dollars. She knew that my family was having money problems, but she didn't want the extra work for her Also, I came home after crying all the way home and my camper (the only thing I love doing now since I can't eat anything good any more) was gone. It has been repossessed. This disease has destroyed everything for me.

Thumbs down keep going, baby sister!

I am so sorry for your losses! May you mourn and regroup in a way that allows healing and good stuff to come back into your life. Healing is possible, even with this baffling disease. Meantime, I will keep you in my thoughts. . .

Belle, I'm sorry to hear you couldn't go to Atlanta and that you lost your camper.

I remember when I could never leave my house unless for work or shopping for groceries.. I missed a lot of my daughter's growing up because I was a recluse.

So what can we do to help? Sounds like you need to start eating. There's some threads on easy recipes that are healthy too. When I was sick I didn't cook at all, but I ate a lot of carbs and gained weight. Maybe you can look up some recipes and have your son help you cook.

I knew I was getting better when I wanted to cook once again.

I know you are doing the best you can right now. There seems to be a low point in this "M" where you don't think anything can get any worse and then, things start to turn around. Hang in there, it will get better.

I'm be thinking about you belle9. Peace, love & better health to you.

In the white light,
~jonsi

Default Starting to eat

I can't eat carbs. They make me itch so badly that I can't stand it, even complex carbs, so I have to limit them. I was so depressed when I wrote this because my principal had been such a B and this is costing us so much in home remedies because docs won't treat it, and with my only way to enjoy travel (my favorite thing to do) gone, I felt like there wasn't much left. Thank you for writing back, Jonsi. This is pretty tough. I want my body to start fighting this, but the stress of all this makes it harder.

Belle,

My post was confusing! I meant to say that I craved carbs and gained weight and got very fat. Not a good thing. I itched a lot too.

I avoid carbs now as much as possible (& lost 75 lbs).

There are a lot of mean people out there. I don't believe any of us are born mean, some learn to be that way. So when someone is treating me or someone else badly I say that it's not what we are doing, but what that other person is going through...

In the white light,
