Default The Rose

Some say love it is a river
that drowns the tender reed
Some say love it is a razor
that leaves your soul to bleed

Some say love it is a hunger
an endless aching need
I say love it is a flower
and you it's only seed

It's the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance
It's the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken
who cannot seem to give
and the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed
that with the sun's love
in the spring
becomes the rose

Our seed has been planted here on this forum. But other seeds have been planted across the world by people just like us.

I have a really strange sense that has come over me, replacing my constant fear.

Please believe that this evil coming upon us will not win.

The rose will not only come through the snow...but it will be the strongest and most beautiful ever.

Kritts

Kritters -
You have me in tears. However this thing turns out, I just wish it would be over yesterday.
I truly don't know how much longer I can manage to live with knowing what this is doing to so many, hearing the suffering that so many endure each and every day, of losses of homes, friends, families.
I've been sick for many years, but I've only known the nature of it for less than 2 years. It is the KNOWLEDGE that is the worst for me.

I know SS....

You are a very special, extremely intelligent person....

You have been suffering and yet you contribute to this forum to help others.

I was in tears too. I think you will manage to live just like so many of us who seem to be drawn to connecting with others, knowing somehow that the rose will come through the snow.

The knowledge is torture. But we have it for a reason.

love you.
