We had ours tested and it is high. So now we'll do another short term kit (48 hours) and see what that says. If high we need to fix it. If low then we'll need to do another short term to get an average.

I recommend this for all. Got the kit from County Health and Human Services for $6. Mail it in and get results in about 3 weeks.

the above site is where our kit was sent. That's why I posted it. I have no monetary interest in it other than am now going to get their mold kit also. After doing the Radon one, they sent coupon for Mold Kit with our Radon rresults.

Thank you for that information. I plan to order the kit. Although I no longer live in the house I did when I developed this, I'm going to go (if I can) and see if I can test the soil around it. If not, I'll use it for my current residence anyway. Also want the mold kit, although I already know it was everywhere. (maybe I'll test my saliva instead ;-)

Where we live, we have radon tests whenever someone sells a property. Maybe that should tell me something.

Radon comes up from the soil. Maybe it brings the critters with it.

These kits are different that for personal homeowners.

I would even do it if I lived in an apartment because it could be there and how many landlords are going to check regularly.

This gas is very dangerous. It rates as the 2nd cause of lung cancer, with cigarettes first.
