"Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art...
It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things
that give value to survival."
~C.S. Lewis

"In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies,
but the silence of our friends."
~ Martin Luther King Jr.

Default Thanks Carla

Carla, thanks so much for the good wishes. I am doing much better now. I have to really watch myself with the grand-babies......not supposed to be picking them up for a couple more weeks.

I like the poems too......never knew I had it in me!!!

Default Within His Knowing

Within His Knowing

I traveled down a pleasant road,
Its pathway smooth and straight.
Flowers bloomed on either side,
A gentle breeze was blowing.
Each step I took along that path,
I walked within His Knowing.

I had not traveled very far
Before the pathway changed.
My way grew hard and stony and
A chilly wind was blowing.
Each step I took along that path,
I walked within His Knowing.

I traveled farther down that path,
The way grew steep and winding.
Small stones have turned to boulders.
A much colder wind is blowing.
Each faltering step along this path,
I still walk within His Knowing.

The road ahead I do not know,
That path I cannot see.
That road might make another bend.
The wind may roar with angry blowing.
I will walk with steadfast confidence,
I will walk within His Knowing.

Hi everyone, I found this tonight and wanted to share it with you.
Niecy,
xxxxxxxx
How fine it is at night to say:
"I have not wronged a soul to-day.
I have not by a word or deed,
In any breast sowed anger's seed,
Or caused a fellow being pain;
Nor is there on my crest a stain
That shame has left. In honor's way,
With head erect, I've lived this day."

When night slips down and day departs
And rest returns to weary hearts,
How fine it is to close the book
Of records for the day, and look
Once more along the traveled mile
And find that all has been worth while;
To say: "In honor I have toiled;
My plume is spotless and unsoiled."

Yet cold and stern a man may be
Retaining his integrity;
And he may pass from day to day
A spirit dead, in living clay,
Observing strictly morals, laws,
Yet serving but a selfish cause;
So it is not enough to say:
"I have not stooped to shame to-day!"

It is a finer, nobler thought
When day is done and night has brought
The contemplative hours and sweet,
And rest to weary hearts and feet,
If man can stand in truth and say:
"I have been useful here to-day.
Back there is one I chanced to see
With hope newborn because of me.

"This day in honor I have toiled;
My shining crest is still unsoiled;
But on the mile I leave behind
Is one who says that I was kind;
And someone hums a cheerful song
Because I chanced to come along."
Sweet rest at night that man shall own
Who has not lived his day alone.

Default Feeling Alone

Hi niecy!

"This day in honor I have toiled;
My shining crest is still unsoiled;
But on the mile I leave behind
Is one who says that I was kind;
And someone hums a cheerful song
Because I chanced to come along.
Sweet rest at night that man shall own
Who has not lived his day alone.

"Morgellons" can isolate people to the point where they feel very much alone.

Especially for those of us that don't have family or friends who believe them or support them.

Last week I found out that one of my closest friends has Morgellons. I dropped out of our circle of friends four years ago. Last year, when I started to feel better I tried to call her. I left messages and she never called me back. (similar to years ago when she would call me and I wouldn't answer the phone or return her calls.)

.........
Anyone who has "morgellons", please know that you are not alone. Most sufferers have NO idea what is going on, especially in the beginning. This does affect our personalities. Holing up and becoming reclusive, feeling like you are an outcast, and getting stressed out and suicidal are very common for us "Morgies". This site is a great stress reliever! Let it out and share.

Hey Jonsi,

Here's an aside...since no one understands or believes us (esp. if the doctors say they can't find anything) unless we have a note stamped from the Pope, Dalai Lama and Deepak Chopra stating we are not liars, as far as people are concerned....we're psychomatic.

We have outrageous sinus problems and yet most of us are doing more for ourselves through research and natural and standard medicine than anyone we know. Don't you just love it when people see you are sick IN SPITE of all this and they compare us to THEM when THEY catch the NORMAL illnesses going around? Am I making sense?

It's almost like we have AIDS (and I'm not convinced there isn't a strain of that included in Morgelons as well) What a great soup of sick we have!

Oh, and by the way, I've been paying a lot more attention to my BREATHING (speaking of stress).....for some reason this has been in front of my attention for the last few weeks from different sources. ....

Take a long (5 seconds) inhale through the nose.......hold it a bit....fill the lungs as much as possible.....then slowly exhale through the mouth (5 seconds). One thing I remember from a long time ago, is that we don't use all the lung alveoli capacity that we should for optimal oxygen exchange because we usually breath shallow. Makes sense to me. (It depends on where you are when you take those deep breaths lol)

Between The Miles
by Heather Stoop

Because existence can become severe
in one day,
just sense me and I'll be there.
In the minds eye,
I'm not so far away.
If you hold out your hand,
in the whispers,
I'll become the zephyr.
and besiege you.
If your eye's upon the stars,
in the crystalline darkness,
I'll become the moon.
And the light shall guide you.
If you rest upon the ground,
in the warmth,
I'll become the grass.
And embrace you.
If you turn outside,
in the wetness,
I'll become the rain.
An upon your forehead, kiss you.
If you free the air,
in the light of day,
I'll become the sun.
And smile for you.

Between the miles-
if you need me.
If you need a friend.
Let me be the friend, I want to be.

Niecy
XOXOXOXO

Thank you niecy

I read "Between the Miles" to Natalie. She understood it too!

In response to RL's link niecy posted... Never judge a book by its cover. Love comes in many ways.

Love, peace and optimism,

Itwl,
~jonsi
