a place for kids to talk My daughter wonders why I spend so much time on this site and loves to read the funny shouts, and is always asking "who are you talking to now mom?" "What are you writing about?"
I explain that Morgellons is everywhere now and we are going to be ok, that we are already ok and that we got this first so that we can teach others that it will be ok in the long run.
She understands that organic milk and juices are cool "for the body" and McDonalds and Sonic are full of man made stuff that our bodies don't understand.
She hates the smell of eco-vie and doesn't want to smell funny at school, yet she allows me to spray it on her long hair and scalp as I brush her hair each night, especially on the "itchy" spots on her scalp.
Some nights she asks me to call "Mary's" parents to tell them that "Mary" has Morgellons because "Mary" is always scratching her face, arms and scalp and saying "something just bit me". ""Mary" has lesions on her scalp and face and arms and her clothes are covered in long white fibers and fuzz-balls.
There are three "Marys" in Natalie's class: two girls and one boy.
Many of us here on the board have children that are affected by Morgellons. When I asked Natalie if she would like to talk to other kids about Morgellons, she got a big smile on her face and said "yeah"! She wanted to call it Natalie's space. I explained that Morgellons is something we all share and we all have our own stories to share.
We started a thread on children's voices. Maybe we could have a separate place/heading for our children to share. We would log in under our names ("jonsi") and our kids could name themselves under our "name", like "jonsi's Natalie", or "carla's #1 KID..." With our supervision as parents, we could keep this a safe place for our children. Franky and carla have a pretty good handle this site and I, for one, would never allow my daughter to be here without my knowledge.
So Franky and carla, what do you think?
