Size of files submitted a problem

There are many good pics those would like to submit. But with size of board the FILE size Is TOO TINY. I cannot even do a pic of my deseased collie or pics from when sick. I have managed to downsize those from stumped members so can be seen. Also the Email limit for me a pian especially for those in crisis. I think Pretty clear in MY case I sell Nothing. Big pain to hinie with this hope see a solution to this sooon. I am also quite irritated cannot delete my own posts when I wish. Not to hurt board but when I an denied what others have, It is bs. I will leave my content up, but I still should have some rights over what I post if it needs correction, (LC).

I WANT to work as a TEAM and be friendly. I try to be nice as I can. However I think if I wish to delete unimportant posts I have a right to do so if my own. Does this make sense? I hope so in atmosphere of peace and love. I want to harmonize. I think certain limits make it hard to share information. Let us be able to share, and help eachother right? I want us to be a group indeed and have love harmony and friendship. I love all in here. I only adress these concerns I hope can be fixed is not at all an issue of my being angry at all not angry, EVER. I just want to help and some have incredible photos and such I can downsize to post for them I have, but board getting bigger now. SO maybe have to acommidate if possible. But I have nothing but sheer love for you, Franky and Carla and Bubba. How do we get these incredible pics posted?How do I delete unimportant posts so many can easily more read? I am trying to accept the moderators and adiministrartors requests you see so we are all happy. (LC).

Question: Is there anyone here who does have the ability to delete their own posts? Even on threads they start?

This feature may have possibly been removed from everyone to reduce traffic and maintain a coherent exchange of information on this forum. It may also be a bug such as the one folks have been experiencing in uploading pictures. 128 kb is pretty generous (after all, how much total space does Franky have to store this ever expanding volume of information?) and yet lately, even 20 kb have been giving some folks trouble.

Sure BB entitled to you opinions. I do however have a MUCH larger volume of posts. Meaning I would like to streamline them. Also I did downsize the pictures they will not load so I think a technical bug perhaps Franky needs to be aware of though if he is not already. I have been a member for over a year, I have a fairly good idea how it works (except for the quote box) . My pictures do not exceed the limit of the acceptable file size, even before downsized. I do like the picture aspect of this message board, and I do enjoy learning by seeing them. So do many others in here. (LC)

So you've probably seen this forum run out of space before. I'm going to see if there's a way to purge my mailbox of old posts. Of course, that won't free up a whole lot of space, but maybe every little bit helps. Like real estate, virtual space costs. That's why, unless it's medical, I'll keep any picture under 30-40kb (here's how I do it). Hot linking's another solution, but some freebie sites make what someone posts public domain or worse, their property. I'll definitely have to read the terms of agreement before going that route.

No actually BB first time ever. I joined I am not even sure were even fifty members back then may have bee as few as twenty. Of course, I do use alot of space, obviously. Much of my mail can delete, however some of it is vital for me to keep. I was asking about stream lining my irrelavent posts to help in the way just the way you were thinking. (LC)

Honestly lc no one can delete their own post .Your not missing out on anything.l love reading the banter between people.lts what makes the forum interesting.lt spoils threads if people delete,

LC there isn't much more I can add to this thread, BB and Carla have fully explained this. LC you have every right that every member has here period. Also I need to have limits on email here, for many reasons. For one they put a strain on the message board and my host. LC all these features you see here cost money they are not free. Its not a major problem now, but in the future it will be.

By giving everybody unlimited email sending, you are putting a strain on the actually message board and also my host. I am trying to keep everything smooth for now, to keep costs down while we are still relatively small.

Also having unlimited mail sending opens up the board to spam attacks. Huge pics take up a lot of space and slow down the board esp. for people who are still on phone lines and not broad band. How big are your pics?

The thing about deleting Carla answered all ready. I hope this helps you understand. Send me a Pm on how big these pics are. I will see what I can do for you.

That is fine Franky no problm at all. I understand what you mean. I think just so many posts I have done hit the ceiling before the others you know with pictures? I was curious too if others were having problems too. (LC)
