When my itching first started and I thought it was scabies I did a fair amount of searching the net to see what would help. I used permethrin cream and it helped for a day or so, then it would come back worse. One thing I found online to help with scabies is to bathe with tea tree oil 10 drops or so in a tub. I don't know how often you can get your mom into the bath, but it may help if she does have scabies.

The other thing that I used is a product called Bug Arrest. This is a natural enzyme based product labeled for fleas, ticks, mites and scabies. I kept a spray bottle diluted with water with me at all times and sprayed myself numerous times a day, (especially if I felt something).

I don't know if these things can help your mom, but food for thought...

Exclamation No one on this site has a clue about Scabies

I belong to another site that people post constantly about Scabies. Most of the time, a doctor can not diagnose Scabies unless you have it so bad, you give it to them too. Even when you have the rash, they think it is something else. I have had Scabies 4 times in 10 yrs from giving rides to homeless people or helping out homeless people. The first time I had it for
1 1/2 yrs. Second time I got it and never totally got rid of it until I got it the 3rd time. The 3rd time I never totally got rid of it till I got it the 4th time.
It's much harder to get rid of than a person can imagine. Some people get rid of it fast and easy but there are some that can't get rid of it so easy and doctors, psyc, gov't, etc. don't listen to the people that can't get rid of it or have it. They just call you crazy, try to get you on anti-psycotic drugs, etc. CPS tries to take away your kids or do take them away, thinking you make your kids itch, that you put it in your kids heads that they itch, so they don't believe the children either. It's horrible!

Hi Adanaturkey!

Thanks for posting. Sorry to hear about your battles with scabbies. Could you say if you had tunneling on your hands, between fingers etc? or the symptoms that revealed it for you?

All the best

Jo

calamine lotion works great for morg also because it coats your skin an almost silicone substance as long as you dont itch it.

Default Silicon/silicone poisoning

unknown -
If the substance is silicon or silicone or some derivative - STAY AWAY FROM IT.
Last year I had blood work done and my blood silicon level was 0.37. A toxic level is over 0.05. That is more than 7 times the toxic level. How did this stuff end up in my blood? Read Dr. Staninger's research. Morgellons MAKES this substance, and enough of it will kill you.
I saw a show on Discovery Health's "Dr. G Medical Examiner". Dr. G is a FL medical examiner who does a lot of the autopsies when there is anything suspicious. She's the one who was interviewed on the news after examining the Caylee Anthony remains.
Anyway, one of the bodies brought in was a transgender individual, and it was determined that the person died as a result of silicone poisoning. There are these things called "pump parties" where unscrupulous doctors come and inject silicone directly into the breasts (no sacks or anything). This person had been to one that night and got an overdose of silicone and died. The silicone "smothered" the red blood cells so that oxygen exchange was not possible. She showed microscopic blood samples that showed the silicone all over the RBCs.
When I saw that, I remembered seeing an almost identical picture on Dr. Staninger's website (mind you, Dr. S's picture preceded the Dr. G show by 2 years). I believe it was from a sample taken from Jan Smith. The caption was something like "rivers of silicone in the blood". It really looked just like the Dr. G show.
I'll try to find what the name of that episode was so that people can learn more about it, then compare it to Dr. S's findings. Remember, Dr. S did this 2 years before that show.

I am pretty sure my mom has norweigeon scabies now because when I started bathing her, I found a lot of crusting behind her knees, sides and even lower back. Not knowing what it was, I put all kind of things on her and a lot of the crusting is gone, but not all. Beverly, could you please tell me how to go about this. My mom has alzheimer's and must have suffered from itching for a long time by the looks of it, possibly a year or more. She's at home and 86 years old. She also has morgellons and I think she must have gotten these from me, since I had morgellons first. I had gone and got cream back then, but really didn't know what scabies were. Someone told me that you can go blind from ivermectin, which I see is used to treat this kind of scabie and since she is elderly, I don't know what to do. I can't get her to the doctor, she won't go and my brother won't make her because he doesn't want to upset her. Because she doesn't walk well because of her broken hip, I can't do it myself. Can you give me any advice or information? I think these mites have gone inside doing havoc, is that possible? I don't know how to approach this with any doctor because I see the thick skin and crust, but possibly the only burrows could be on the lower leg where it looks very lined and scaly. I really need help. Thanks, Snow.
You can order the cream and other medicines for scabies at online Canadian pharmacy. I don't have link for it but just google it.
