Default Scabies Treatment

Medications

Treatments basically fall into a few different categories: themeal "pesticide" applications, systemic "tablet" doses which have the advantage of ensured total coverage, and the least toxic treatment is 10% sulfur ointment, a money-making treatment by using the least long-term side-effects.Themeal (surface) medications are ordinarily helpful and must be applied thoroughly to all skin from the face down, eexclusively to sites known to be first and foremost affected (skin folds, etc.). The themeal medication of option is 5% permethrin because it is safe for all age groups: it should be applied for eight to twelve hours (overnight is the most suitable) after that washed off.

Lindane (hexachlorocyclohexane) creams or lotions are considered historical treatments, and should be avoided because they've been shown to have neurotoxic effects in children and infants; Lindane is no longer available in the UK or Australia, but is still available in the U.S.. Likely, 5–10% sulfur ointments are considered historical. should only be begined four weeks after treatment.

Even though the mites are rapidly killed by treatment, itching can last for up to four weeks after treatment. A single dose of ivermectin (dosing: 200 µg/kg) has been reported to cure, but is an off-label use; some authorities recommend repeating treatment at 14 days.

Additional topical treatments include 10% crotamiton (except to eyes, nose, mouth), 25% benzyl benzoate cream or lotion.

Someone can be reinfected by using scabies: all residencehold contacts must be treated simultaneously, even if apuffinessatic.

The following is a treatment list in the order from most harmful to safest.

1. Lindane: (Kwell, Kwellada). It has been linked to 17 deaths by the US government FDA (3 were positively caused by lindane, although lindane was not used as prescribed in those cases).
2. Malathion: Common pesticide, nervous system toxin in high quantities, no known mutagenic or carcinogenic properties in humans have been confirmed.
3. Permethrin: Another pesticide, lacks carcinogenic testing in humans even though animals test showed negative, toxicity may resembles allergic responses.
4. Crotamiton (Eurax ®): Less toxic, but less helpful. Must use for roughly 3 days.
5. Benzyl benzoate: Less toxic, but can cause asthmatic and allergic responses. Must use for a week on 1st, 4th, and 7th day.
6. Ivermectin (Stromectol ®): Oral dewormer. Newest scabies treatment. Safer than all of the above and easiest and quickest to use.
7. 10% sulfur ointment: Safest treatment. Non-toxic. Used in pregnant women and infants under two months of age but helpful in everyone if used for 7 days. Cheapest treatment. Over-the-counter treatment. May be used as generally as one likes with no toxicity. Drawbacks: messy, stains prims, therefore one shouldn't use wpummele sheets and T-shirts.

Steroids or corticosteroids shouldn't be used to combat itching. These can cause a weakened immune system making various new diseases and the worst form of scabies. Choices include antihistamines such as cetirizine. Prescription: Doxepin (oral or topical).

By usingout a host, scabies mites survive for a few hours in the environment (the mites rapidly dry out). Therefore it's recommended, after treatment, to wash all material (such as prims and bedding) that has been in prolonged contact with the infested in the last four days.

Approximately 300 million cases of infestation with scabies occur worldwide annually.

Scabies also occurs in puppies; see article at Mange. Puppy mites can easily be transferred to humans. Although mites that infect puppies aren't able to complete his or her life cycle on humans, they'll cause quite a bit of craving before they finally die. Dogs by using mange should be treated to avoid continuously re-infecting humans.Bird mites have also be noted to cause a similar disease.

Summarize

After treatment has been applied or taken, (or directly before treatment if you're careful and wear gloves) cleaning of environment should occur. The key is timing. All residencehold members should be treated at the same time and cleaning must be thorough and simultaneous. Expect added craving and red bumps for the first week later taking any medication for scabies. The dead mites remain in the skin for 30 days. They're extractd by using the body's natural shedding process. During those 30 days expect new bumps and craving.

Home Cleaning

* Wash in hot water and dry in a hot dryer:

1. Recently worn clothing
2. Towels and bedding should be removed and washed daily for at least three days after each treatment, including mattress pad and pillow covers.

* Dryclean

1. Things that cannot be washed can be dry cleaned.

* Dryer Only OK

1. Pillows can be tossed in hot dryer for 30 minutes and mattresses can be vacuumed.

* "Quarantine" in Plastic Bag, Two Weeks:

1. Stuffed animals and pillows or freeze these items and shoes in the freezer overnight in a plastic bag with twist tie. This'll kill any mites.
2. Do not forget about things similar coats, gloves, hats, slippers, robes, kitchen towels, wetsuits, etc. Either isolate long adequate for the mites to die in a plastic bag (at least 2 weeks) or clean or freeze overnight.

* Vacuum

1. Vacuum all carpets, rugs and upholstered furniture everyday.

* Mop

1. Mop all floor surfaces and clean bathroom surfaces (this only needs to be done after the original treatment).

* Miscellaneous Cleaning

1. Thoroughly clean brushes and combs too (this is extra precaution and may not be necessary). This routine has to be repeated at the time of the second follow-up treatment to make sure a thorough kill.
2. If there are pets in the residence, they should be either treated by using a permethrin shampoo at the same time as the humans or isolated and treated by using Revolution. There are other herbal treatments if desired. Ivermectin product or services are also available for pets.
3. Don't forget about things like coats, gloves, hats, slippers, robes, kitchen towels, wetsuits, etc. Either isolate long enough for the mites to die in a plastic bag (at minimum 2 weeks) or clean or freeze overnight.

Hi Cal,

Here's another forum discussion of scabacides, including benzyl benzoate:

Ordering scabicides and Ivermectin Links Listed - Topix

Page is outdated so links provided there may or may not work.

Here's a link to drugstore.com and their discussion of this product.

Benzyl Benzoate consumer information from Drugs.com (this link states that this product, under the given brand name is not available in the US or Canada).

Welcome to the forum Cal.

Here is how I cured my Scabies:
==================================
The BEST and EASIEST solution to the problem of infection or re-infection is to use Food Grade 100% Diatomacious Earth. Make certain the bugs crawl through it when searching for their next meal [you].

Treat your bed
===============================
Leave DE in pie pans under your bed supports. Place pillows, mattress, box springs into zipper bags. Sprinkle liberally over the mattress + box springs. Sprinkle DE lightly into your sheets.

Treat yourself
================================
Mix DE into Grapeseed oil 25% and apply to all affected areas. You can also use Olive Oil, or Almond Oil. Grapeseed oil is extremely healthy & leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and luxurious, even reduces wrinkles.

Treat your furniture, car upholstery
==================================
Mix DE into Windex [25% to 75%], spay on all furniture
Place DE liberally on cookie tins under all furniture legs.

Now regardless of what kind of mites you have they will be KILLED ON CONTACT or soon after while searching for their favorite food [YOU].

Cure your mite infection the easy & inexpensive way with minimal impact to your life. Also kills ALL Mites, bedbugs, lice, roaches, springtails. In addition, amazing health benefits when used internally.

Hi everyone long time.

I know a few people who have had good results with scabies using the following concoction... there's a lot in it....

Bentonite, D.E., Neem Oil, Oregano E.O., Pine Needle EO, Citronella EO,
Lemongrass EO, Tea Tree Oil, Sweet Orange EO, Cedarwood EO, Silver Ionic Solution.

Great Feedback on this. Says kills bugs and heals skin. Can't say first hand.

The basis behind it is that the bentonite and DE are applied with enough pressure to remove any small air pockets. The bugs migrate because of EOs and Neem and what the oils don't get the DE should. Silver is for skin and bacteria left by bugs. The DE protocols for the bedding and all sound good.

As I said, I have no actual first hand use, but great feedback on this recipe.

Hi Keavy,

It has been awhile since you have posted. How are your experiments with some Morgellons patients, clay and lesions going? I am finding that using herbs heavily to treat the liver, gall bladder and intestines is drying up skin outbreaks for me. The skin treatments unfortunately are limited to the area treated and while helpful and necessary I think that internal approaches are also necessary. The treatments I was using on the lesions was not working that well last time I had some lesions break out in late fall. This illness can adapt and change when least expected. Now spring is approaching and so far nothing seems to be breaking out...I hope this continues. I am grateful to the TCM guy who is currently helping me.

Anyway, just wanted to say that the scabies formula you mention sounds interesting. I wonder if you could give any specifics in case folks want to try it, such as amounts of the oils to use to what amount of clay. Also are there any reports back yet from people you are helping with the Morgellons lesions? I like your laid back approach which does not claim a cure for Morgellons or even direct knowledge of the effectiveness of this scabies formula. Also I appreciate that you are very upfront in letting people know you have a website which sells healing clays and other products.

Good to see you.

Hi tcm,

Thanks for the kind words.

I was telling Kritts in a PM earlier.... Morgs is so ...ummm....not the norm for treatment options. It doesn't respond like bugs, or mundane pathogens.
I am working on a couple things that may help some with lesions, and bugs and stuff near the surface of the skin, but I think there's an internal aspect, and encapsulated "cysts" that are going to take better minds, chemicals, and equipment than I have to figure out. I do think internal bentonite, and DE can help, and external bentonite "detox" baths.

I read just last night that Cliff Carnicom(?) says that oxidizers...(MMS and Peroxide) may actually aggravate the situation. Too bad as I have become the motherlode for Sodium Chlorite on the internet now. (woot) (go steve)..

I sell it to cities and companies, as well as MMS and supplies to other MMS dealers. (Not a big Jim Humble fan though... it's a great product, just flawed chemistry on his part).

The scabies treatment is
2 tablespoons sodium bentonite,
2 tablespoons D.E.,
1 tablespoon Neem Oil,
3 drops Eucalyptus E.O,
3 Drops Oregano E.O,
3 drops of Pine Needle E.O
3 drops cedarwood E.O
3 drops of citronella E.O.
2 drops Basil E.O
2 drops Lemon Grass E.O

I use ionic colloidal silver added and mixed until its a smooth consistency.
(water is ok too)

A couple drops of 3% peroxide is ok too.
For bad cases, add a few drops of aqueous tobacco solution. (just soak natural tobacco in water in the sun a week to make this)

I make this in bigger batches, but this should make a decent amount for one person. Like I said, I have gotten really good feedback on this for Scabies, mites, chiggers.

Apply right on affected area, with some pressure, so there are no air pockets where the mites can hide. What doesn't get smothered and killed by the oil will run and get bound up in the clay and DE. Let it dry, and gently wash it off. The clay will take the dead mites and skin cells with it.
It will tingle on some people, there's a lot of not so gentle essential oils in it, but like I said, I get great feedback on it.

Right now my Keavys site is in incredible disarray... but...

I made a lot of money in January brokering a large Sodium Chlorite deal.

My Sodium Chlorite site is sodium-chlorite-supplier.com

What happened was this....

I found about 10,000 lbs of this stuff at a really good price, so I bought some and optioned the rest. My original plan was to market a little bit of MMS, but having so much.... I went and learned a lot about it, and its different uses.
MMS is the least of my income from it, as I sell it to cities and ranches also for water purification. Anyway for the past few months I have been obsessed with learning, and research, and shipping EVERY day... Ugh. It has turned into a real job.
As you can see by the lengths of my posts....I have some issues with obsessive/compulsive... not enough that I'm a freaky hand washer, but my search to learn stuff just consumes me. That's how I found you guys....

In the meantime the natural/alt/med/parasite site has suffered, but I just bought a lot of packaging, new all natural soap base, all natural shampoo base, and all natural body cream base, a ton of supplies and all that good stuff, so I'm gonna get it back up and running this week I hope.

I sell the DE and Clay, and Ionic Silver (HVAC) and I make colloidal silver supplemented (reduced) with Food Grade H202, I sell H202 in small amounts, MMS, Stable O2, Coral Calcium, Dolomite, parasite soap, shampoo, and cream, as well as the clay based stuff. I sell clay based detox, cleanse, and internal parasite stuff. My protocols are for long term gentle chelation, and tissue detox, and they are effective and safe, but not an overnight cure for anything. My fastest detox system is 14 days. I also sell dmso, bottles, and citric acid, as my MMS resellers need that stuff.

I sell neem oil in small amounts, but not E.O's.... maybe down the road, but there's a lot of competition there.
I do have MMS cheaper than anyone I have found, and I try to keep the rest affordable. I spend a lot of time on my sources, and I'm a legit business, so I can order from real businesses, and get wholesale bulk rates on some stuff.

I have 5 domains now, and I'm going to do one that focuses on Sodium Chlorite/Chlorine Dioxide generation for Agriculture, Industry, and Municipal.
one for Parasite Detox, one just for MMS, one for personal water purification, survivalists and disaster preparedness, and one as a forum... (maybe).

My biggest draw is I'm accessible, (My phone and address is on my site and every label), and you can buy different stuff and not pay different shipping charges on it. I'm going to start selling Lye and some other water chemicals.
I'm picky about what I sell and if it is a BS scam, I won't sell it. (Like MMS-2)

I would probably be rich if ethics didn't get in my way, but I think this country(world) is going to hell in a handbasket, and I'm not going to be part of the problem, and my kids aren't going to grow up watching me scam people. I think everything I sell has a benefit, though maybe not as much as some sites claim.

When I get the keavy's site up again, I'll post it .... it should be ready in a week like I said.

I never posted my site here, because when I found this forum, I said I wouldn't..... I came here to learn, and honestly.... I have never felt so affected by a condition, or disease before. What some of you people go through every day is almost unbelievable, and the misdiagnoses, and unbelieving medical community, is just so damn ludicrous to me. Then I see EG's posts about articles being taken off Gov. sites and all, and the implications of it are terrifying. I haven't ever found a bug that I couldn't kill, but I really don't think these things are bugs.

Anyway, I ramble again......... I'll post up the keavy site when it's done...(again)...
Thanks to all of you and Carla for letting me participate and learn here.

Hi Keavy,

I hope you don't mind, but I am posting a link to one of your earlier threads which I feel new members who may not have seen it might enjoy as you posted quite a bit of information there. I hope you will continue telling us about the properties of the different clays which you started on that thread. I didn't realize you had not posted your website here before, as somehow I found your site back then. Maybe you had pm'd me with the URL, don't recall. Anyway, I hope you will soon be up and running again:

Need a few volunteers
