| I have a severe peeve. I have been looking at ingredients in the products I use on my skin again due to suspicions of Celiac and a gluten allergy. So in looking for gluten and wheat related components often found in our toiletries and make up, what did I find?!! I found Lactobacillus in Revlon Age Defying Liquid make up. Friggin enterobacteria. Hello manufacturers!! Sure, it is beneficial, but it is only beneficial in the colon!! Ding, ding. Every source I can lay my hands on, says the same thing. WTF? You wouldn't break open a probiotic capsule and put that on your friggin face would ya? Thank GOD I don't use this particular brand. Echhk. Disgusted. Frito |

| You are so right Frito. So many hair conditioners contain Wheat Protein and Soy Protein both can cause allergic reactions. The Lactobacillus does not shock me. So many enzyme treatments also contain potentially dangerous bacterias. Same with bio pesticides. I have to wonder if when I was spraying that kind of stuff on things when we got our dog that is did not back fire shortly after. Funny how now they advertise does not contain any bacteria based enzymes. ![]() Cyn

| Ya know guys, I really am becoming incredibly disgusted with what is on our shelves to put in and on our bodies. I gotta say Cyn, I was surprised when I read the label. I am really interested in the premise of why it would be in this particular product. At first I thought perhaps it was an attempt at oil control common in liquid make up, but usually dimethicone is used for that. Which is also impossible to avoid it seems. This is an Age Defying Makeup, so women would use it to reduce fine lines or even out skin tone, yadi ya. So why would Lactobacillus be considered beneficial? How could they pass it off as being beneficial? It can't be because it has been found to be beneficial in the intestines, but no study has been found for it to be detrimental to the application of skin? I read that in one of the sources. Just absolutely disgusted with the complete lack of accountability in our consumer products. Frito |

| I think what they have learned from botox, or more likely testing first garbage on live human subjects, bacteria causes immune responce wether injested or applied to the skin. When your immune system comes to fight the flesh will be renewed, possibly, slightly, over time maybe significantly. We are infected with somthing that shuts off immune responce, I have found that bringing attention to these spots, aggravating them that the immune system will show up and beat the situation back some, over time alot. I also can show the so called wrinkles around the eyes are not wrinkles, they are tracks of the infection. When I show this you will see what the makeup companys already know, it is infection under the skin and other bacteria will bring immune responce. You may want to google BOTOX to find out if it is added to cosmetics. Here is the book on it, the bacteria are antigens. A Consumer's Dictionary of Cosmetic ... - Google Books I can see by reading some of this that I am correct about my assumptions. hey we could make cosmetics enhanced with Morgellons, but then everyone already has it to some degree, so what good will it do, hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Maybe immunity!!!!! Last edited by Baraka Obam; December 30th, 2010 at 10:45 AM. |
