Hiya Faith! Personal witness to this. I walk the beach in the morning here in NJ and for the first time in YEARS almost since I had dug in the sand with pail and shovel (two years ago ) I actually plunged in and enjoyed the water. Of course, I did it early when few people were on the beach since I didn't want to cause an Orca the Wale panic!!! One thing I noticed, aside from the warm temp, is that no jellyfish were washing up on the shore (shhhh....don't say jellyfish too loudly, we might wake Steve LOL)..when the water is warm, there are ALWAYS tons of (the j word) on the shore and I've been at the shore since a kid. Interestingly also, a few years ago, the ugliest and weirdest in color "J" I have ever seen. and this year I saw some I posted many weeks ago I had never seen anything like. Looked like a bunch of banana shaped jellyfish.

I dunno....strange things going on.

There is so much evidence that the planet is heating up and will continue to do so for a long time, even if we stop doing the things are creating it today.

Yet there is still that group of denialists who try to dispute this. Why???
What is to be gained through denying? It's not just the wealthy whose profits may decrease if they change their ways, but others who only stand to lose through global warming.

That's interesting that you should be observing strange new jellyfish and the increasing ocean oddities that are becoming alarmingly common. Kritts, after your post, you got my curiosity going and I searched / found these two articles. One from 2003 and the other as recent as 2009. These don't even include the bizarre appearances not long ago on NY beaches when enormous jelly fish were attacking people in the water. New aquatic species seem to be appearing frequently now. It's not surprising the ocean is adapting by creating new organisms to be able to survive in the changing environment.

I agree with you Venetia, this is not global warming we are experiencing, but it is more likely the start of an ice age which btw is long overdue to appear again on the earth. If anyone missed this article when it originally appeared and is interested in learning more about the science behind global cooling here's a recent thread discussing it in some depth. Permalinks 3,4, and 5 have the article which supports what you are saying Venetia by discussing some of the science behind warming oceans. Global warming alarms spread by various governments through the media are just a way to pick the pockets of unsuspecting consumers by scaring them into submission so they can trick them into paying triple or more for their energy (electricity, natural gas and gasoline to run their cars) which will effect the prices of absolutely everything one needs to buy (food, shelter, transportation, clothing) to survive in this world. Meanwhile politicians worldwide lead increasingly lavish lifestyles accompanied by ever enlarging bank accounts along with personal wealth for themselves and their families and the large corporations, also behind much of this wealth readjustment, also thrive:

Earth changes are seen all around the world in many forms. Changing and new kinds of species are developing; animals, birds, etc, migrating in wrong directions and not using usual routes, previously dictated by natural instincts, etc. . It's all part the same process. While earth changes occur, some desert environments may become green and lavish. Land may rise and others may sink. Flooding, increasing rains occur, earthquakes...

Every day more pollutants are being discovered that are changing the balance of nature. The EPA and other groups can't keep up with the destruction that has occurred.

I like their logo.
They were set up to support the one world government Carbon Tax Act and help push it through.
The changes we are seeing are down to natural Sun cycles.It has nothing to do with man or carbon.

Hear, hear Carla. Absolutely, no doubt that this is a huge scam to enrich the few at the expense of the many. Even if this scheme was carried out worldwide (and don't forget, China, India and other third world countries will do NOTHING, at least their politicians are a darn sight more intelligent or less greedy) what mankind does to effect heat levels on the earth is a drop in the bucket in comparison to the action of the sun on the earth. What is being said to push this scam along is pure propaganda by various governments to take money from the poor along with the rich, small businesses and corporations who are members of the out crowd to give to the wealthy and corporations of the in crowd.
