| You're doing a great job, SS! Thank you! ~jonsi

Thanks, Jonsi - Actually, I feel guilty a good deal of the time that I am not doing more. I have the time (I don't work) and a certain amount of ability as I am not as physically sick as I used to be. Honestly, after nearly two years this stuff still scares the dung out of me. Trying to strike the balance between "enough" fear to keep me working at the disciplines that have helped me, but not so much that I get immobilized by it all is almost a full time job. SS

Who is "everyone"??? I don't know but a couple of people (in the initial stages of this) who think it is a skin disease...actually, they think it is an environmental "bug" problem. I think a lot of us start out that way. The CDC's referring to it as "unknown dermopathy" is just a disinformation campaign. There is NO WAY that they don't know that this is a total body penetration. None of the serious investigators think it is either. Even going back to 1995, Dr. Amin called it "Neurocutaneous Syndrome". As an early (and probably sole) pioneer investigating this, he knew right away that there was serious nervous system involvement. He doesn't get the credit he deserves for being insightful enough and brave enough to write his observations up and put them on the internet 14 years ago. SS

Yes....that's more accurate than "Morgellons".... How about "systemic cutaneous syndrome?? If anyone should name this thing...I say it should be those of us who are doing the research. Kritts

SD - Well, of course it's a skin issue, but that's not ALL it is. IMO - the skin manifestation is the caboose of this train. By the time it ends up there, it's infiltrated us from iside - out. The lesions are eruptions, not external bites. SS

Hi Sadsack....Yes Sorry I know its not just a skin thing, have been reading about Dr Amin & Neorocutaneous syndrome, he's got it in one. I have that Bum, those arms, back, & legs, I know mine was caused by parasite through drinking tap water on holiday in Kos (Greek Island) infested with sewage, drunk at time! What I can't make out is Dr Amin thinks its parasitical also Dental products. I haven't got around to finding what he cured his patients with, but all the symptoms, the terrible coughing, fever, fatigue etc is so right. How did you find him? I think the name he's given it seems to make much more sense as it effects the whole nervous system. I will keep reading his sites to see what they were cured with. At least in the U.S. there are some Doctors that are aknowledging that it exists. Sorry if I sounded blas'e ...spots... ![]()

SD - He does think it is caused by dental toxins - not just amalgam. There's a whole list of them. His treatment consists of reviewing all your dental records to see if you have any of these materials. There is also a lab that tests for the presence of any of these toxins that he has you do. Next step is to remove all "offending" materials. The last is a thorough body detoxification procedure through chelation, among other things. Most people do not believe he is correct (including me). BUT - some people have gotten quite a bit better, and I believe the reason is the last step - the detoxification. If you detoxify, it doesn't make a lot of difference how you got toxic to begin with, it only matters that you get your body cleaned up. I DO think SOME toxin causes this nightmare, but I don't think it is really identified. But I do think that all toxins contribute to our sickness and the progression of this malady. If we are "feeding" the disease with toxins, then we should take away the "food". It won't "cure" whatever is causing this, but trying to starve it out will get us better. ("Toxin" is anything that doesn't belong in the body, such as mycotoxins from fungus, parasites, pesticides, bacteria, etc, etc) So I really do appreciate his being the first doctor to take this seriously (years before the word "Morgellons" came into existence). And he is partly right in his opinion that toxins are involved. SS
