Default Time for a rant

Am gutted

Whatever kind of morgellons I've got, I've infected my brother. Found out tonight.

I'm fairly sure he's just the tip of the iceberg. I know I'm not alone in what I say and I draw comfort from the fact that there's a community of people who understand my pain.

Bring on a cure, this is my prayer for us all

Jo,

I'm so sorry for you (and your brother). I think it hurts more that someone we love has it than it does having it ourselves. But don't you think your brother may be a victim just as you are, and that you didn't necessarily infect him?

xoxo

Jo, I am so sorry........ I cry for your brother, and you. I think Kritters is right, it would hurt me more to know that a family member had it, than it does for me to have it.

Has anyone heard if there has been any reports released from the CDC just yet about the study they are performing?

Do we have a contact for getting the information as it comes available?

Sorry for your pain Jo
Niecy

Good point Kritters, unfortunately your bro could have got it like you did. Don't feel too bad JO, a prayer goes out to you. Give him some information so he can understand, form a support bond between the both of you. Hell, ask him to become a part of this group if he needs people to talk too.

Thanks guys, what would I do without you??

I guess I'm playin to my fear....May find out tomorrow how he thinks he got it - he's coming round. Gonna focus on giving him stuff to help his body etc, but not overload him with info. That can come later....he's got alot on his plate right now, without this....probably one reason why he's come down with it.

I guess now, we can both go to the family doc and give him hell for telling me that it was 'in my head'

Jo,

Sorry to hear about your brother. Knowing someone he loves and trusts (you) will be the greatest gift you can give him. Of course your knowledge and survival techniques thus far are a big plus for him also.

I've had this 6+ ? years. My daughter started showing the signs last year at the age of eight, so I kind of know what you are going through. It is heartbreaking to think that she might suffer the way I have. But with what I know now about treatments, the right foods and how much a healthy diet (NO McDonalds or junky fast food or prepared box dinners...) plays a role in staying healthy, I pray she will always stay healthy.

Here is my rant: I don't think the doctor is going to say "Now that there are two of you, of course I am going to believe you now!!!" He/she will probably say that you are putting ideas in his head. That's what happened to me when I first mentioned that my daughter had Morgellons.

Good luck Jo!

Hi Jo,

I hope your brother is okay. I wouldn't be too hard on yourself, i personally dont believe its contagious from human to human. Maybe if it was your husband or baby it could be transferred via bodily fluids.

I think it is spread by a vector so maybe you guys have been to similar areas and bitten by the similar insects. What sort of symptoms is he getting?

At least he has a bright smart sister to take care of him, with your help and knowledge now he won't probably experience the worst of this.

Very kind and helpful comments thank you xx

Things could get interesting because our eldest brother is a doctor (private GP). He didnt know what to make of my symptoms when I told him my big list a while back. Told me to go back to the docs (which obviously didnt do any good) - he doesnt live nearby but is coming down this weekend. Time for a family consultation I feel .

Jason, my bro had an ECG yesterday as he had chest pains, but everything was fine. So I asked him if he had any other symptoms and he's got the skin and bowel probs. I had chest pains a while back - again nothing wrong (that could be found out by testing pulse and blood pressure etc). I never connected the two, til recently, reading about parasitic infections.

Oh well. Time to go shopping....

Hi Jo,

I think the fluid around the heart (pericardium area) is where the parasites go. There is a TCM formula which treats both the heart and parasites, depending on whether one uses it before meals or after. So the Chinese have known about this connection for thousands of years.

I am sorry that you now have two family members effected by morgellons, but it is very good to hear that you have a brother who is a doctor. Perhaps he will have some new insights and at the very least you can educate him about what is known so far in this area (LOL, real role reversal). Not much fear I think that a man will not be believed about morgellons symptoms. Doctors are much less likely to label a man DOP because a man can accurately observe symptoms while women are hysterical . Yeah, right.
