Spotted Dog, are you sure they are insects? Without legs? Could be black fungal spores you're seeing shedding from your skin or hair. Hope Jo sees this post...Jo where are you??? If they are insects don't crush them, keep them, I bet Jo is interested in that ![]() Kat

Hi SD and all See attached snaps which may match your description - a black dome from on top of my picture frame (actually brown under scope, approx 2mm). Think they are eggs, mine seems to have a breathing tube intact. Squash them or put vinegar on them i reckon ....then squash em. Vinegar kills eggs and morgs hate it. Jo xxx

Hey Spotted! I didn't realize it when I first read your post, but I have had the EXACT same thing (if I understand you correctly) and had them in the house with all the fungus and moisture. I'd find them on the sofa, on the wall, on my bed and forget what other places. they looked like more round than oval (if I remember correctly) and underneath was probably a bunch of tiny legs, but I just vacuumed them up. I had intended to look them up online, but never got around to it. I wonder if they were some type of bedbug (which there is a major resurgence right now of EVERYWHERE in the US and which I don't believe they are the harmless little creatures they tell us they are.) I never saw them move. Wish I could be of more help. I'd like to know what they were also, now that you mention it. xoKritts
