| You know, there are going to be people that tell what they use already to get opinion, it would have been very easy to tell it like it is, TCM you know the score, NUTRA SILVER is not the cure, the fellow that spouts that is just a LIAR of the most greedy kind. Then, he also has caught plenty of people in his cure web, he changed treatment protocol in the middle of me doing it and suggested that I did not listen to him. NUTRA SILVER MAN is a con artist. Then still that is the problem, many newbys are caught in the web of the CON, they can not help that this was the first item they were subjected to. It seems it is our job to give newbys, first, the benefit of the doubt, that they are not the horrid huckster, and then give them some wisdom, also some of the detective smarts. Question question. | It is called questioning, not condemning. BTW I try not to mention companies by name like this one so as not to add any free advertising (hence I erased that named company in your copied reply here). Some things just interest me, that's all. Questions. Do you suppose we could drop the subject now and return to topic? Since it has gone on far too long and is boring as all get out to most by now? And return to topic as requested. Unless you feel like beating this about longer? In which case do not expect anything from here, as I will be napping. You know, the topic, right? Leishmaniasis, so seldom discussed lately as to be a dim memory, lost in a Morgellons fog. quote=Baraka Obam;89234]You know, there are going to be people that tell what they use already to get opinion, it would have been very easy to tell it like it is, TCM you know the score, is not the cure, the fellow that spouts that is just a LIAR of the most greedy kind. | So, the superbugs are infecting the leishmania parasites? Or is this yet another example of the distant memory brigade? quote=annesco;89320]Interesting article today, and not a little scary...

| My apologies once again, TC. I have committed yet another error in posting that link. It was completely innocent, honestly, as I mistakenly thought there might be some small connection between the MRSA mentioned and the lesion issue, but you're absolutely right --- the core of the thread relates to leishmania and sandflies/fleas and NOT e.coli. Please accept my virtual retraction of that post. |

| There are some discussions of superbugs and MRSA on MDR. I am sure that your link would be a welcome addition there or on your own newly created thread. So much has been found to contribute to at least some people's lesions, including MRSA. So this important information is not to be overlooked and I sincerely hope you will add the link to MDR somewhere. Virtual thanks for removing your link from this thread. quote=annesco;89327]My apologies once again, TC. I have committed yet another error in posting that link. | I don't know of anyone, but it looks very interesting. Have you had any experience with it? What information can you share? |

| I want to order it. Its very expensive. Before I ordered it I want to see if anyone else had used it. You can't order in US but in other countries where cutaneous Leishmaneasis is prevelant you can order it from them. |

| I have never heard that anyone has used this drug (Miltefosine) to treat Morgellons or leishmaniasis (at least not on MDR). I would be cautious about using a drug which so far is not prescribed in the US. If ordered from an overseas source you do not even know that the drug has been produced safely (many are not). I believe some of the drugs which treat leishmaniasis are very potent. Without any help if you run into problems...IMO I would give it a miss and try to find a doctor to prescribe some of the known parasite meds which have been tried, like ivermectin and albendazole. I think these drugs help a lot if there are any parasites involved in the Morgellons symptom picture, even if they are not a total cure. Not everyone seems to feel they even have parasites, so... I know we all get a little anxious about this disease, but it is better to be safe than sorry. Please be careful.

| It's actually classified as an hazardous substance according to OSHA. http://datasheets.scbt.com/sc-203135.pdf Weird, since it's definitely used to treat visceral and cutaneous leishmaniasis in India and other countries, and has been deemed safe and effective. PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases: Miltefosine in the Treatment of Cutaneous Leishmaniasis Caused by Leishmania braziliensis in Brazil: A Randomized and Controlled Trial But as TC said, taking it without supervision and no guidelines whatsoever would be risky. I would proceed with caution and do a lot more research before venturing there. Quote:
