Default Sparganosis

I have a single lesion which arose while taking an intial dose of Ivermectin to treat skin parasites. There were no suggested topical treatments for treating the lesion from my doctor, so I decided to use three herbal salves on it. I have used all these salves before and always start with the least potent and work up to the third which is very strong. Sometimes I do not need the last one, but this time I did. The lesion is on the bladder meridian of the calf. Lately I have, as Chester describes, reached an area which bleeds profusely. The salve is one which goes deeply into tissues and roots out any tissue in the body which is abnormal. This time I could actually feel it going up to my head causing a pulling and drawing sensation. So I am letting the salve draw whatever is going on down and out of my system.

This all started me thinking about how these parasites are in the blood, but not only in the blood. Perhaps the adult somehow attaches to a blood vessel deep in the muscle at a crucial stage of the parasites' reproductive cycle. Maybe the adult attaches to a blood vessel, a sort of tether to provide food for all the little critters which always seem to come out of lesions. Some of them, as Chester describes, are like little white hard spots (or beans). So I did another search today, and came up with a parasite which causes many of the symptoms we have. The parasite itself is a bit scary (in one form it is untreatable) and the pictures at the end are graphic. I am warning those who may not even want to read about it. For one thing this parasite could just be another red herring, so I don't think that we should panic. There are various parasites in this family and one of them causes heart worm in dogs. Here is the clinical presentation:

Sparganosis Catherine Hammons

"The clinical manifestations of sparganosis depend on which organs or tissues are involved. Subcutaneous tissues are most likely to be infected by the parasite, but visceral organs and the orbit of the eye, and rarely, the brain. The early migratory stages in the development of the sparganum are asymptomatic, but when it has reached its final site and begins to grow, its presence elicits a painful inflammatory reaction in the surrounding tissues. Sparganosis can cause intestinal obstruction, and the parasite has been recovered from the wall of the intestine, the breast, the scrotum, the epididymis, ureter, urinary bladder, abdominal cavity, heart, and lung.

The larval worms usually grow into irregular nodules (1 to 2 cm in diameter) and surround tissues, becoming edematous and painful. These nodules may persist for months or even years without any symptoms then suddenly become painful. Some patients complain of migratory nodules that come and go for many years."

Although this parasite is more commonly found in Asian countries, it is also mentioned as being a problem in North American though so far to a lesser degree. When I saw a picture of this parasite on the above web page it looks very similar to some of the parsasites I see in the lesions. Certainly when the lesions are forming the area around it becomes very edematous and painful. The lesions do travel around the body and seem like nodules. The article says it may effect the eyes and the merck manual also mention that it may affect the central nervous system.

Here is another description of symptoms:

Symptoms of Sparganosis - CureResearch.com

"Symptoms of Sparganosis

This symptom information has been gathered from various sources, may not be fully accurate, and may not be the full list of symptoms of Sparganosis. Furthermore, symptoms of Sparganosis may vary on an individual basis for each patient. Only your doctor can provide adequate diagnosis of symptoms and whether they are indeed symptoms of Sparganosis.

List of symptoms of Sparganosis: The list of symptoms mentioned in various sources for Sparganosis includes:

* Painful inflamed skin nodules
* Local skin swelling
* Local tissue destruction

More symptoms of Sparganosis: In addition to the above information, to get a full picture of the possible symptoms of this condition and its related conditions, it may be necessary to examine symptoms that may be caused by complications of Sparganosis, underlying causes of Sparganosis, associated conditions for Sparganosis, risk factors for Sparganosis, or other related conditions.

Risk factor list: The list of risk factors mentioned for Sparganosis in various sources includes:

* Drinking contaminated water
* Eating contaminated fish
* Contaminated water contacting open wounds "

Sparganosis: Cestodes (Tapeworms): Merck Manual Professional

I think probably there are parasites involved, but perhaps not all of them are the same in morgellons patients. It is also possible that there is more than one parasite involved in symptoms. Or perhaps there are no parasites involved. So far no one has determined that there are any parasites. I hope we have some definitive answers in the future.

Hey TC!

Sparganosis Catherine Hammons.........I KNOW HER!!! DIDN'T SHE JUST HOLD A FUND RAISING GALA RECENTLY AT THE STATUE OF LIBERTY???? OMG!!!

I hope you don't mind my weird and sick humor.

This is really great going in research, girlfriend. I'm going to peruse carefully when I have a minute to breathe.

I'm still reeling right now from talking to a friend who's friend is probably going to die soon from uterin cancer after having it for 10 years, unchecked despite chemo, cutting, the usual. Shucks...we've tried everything. She's now looking on the web for any answers she can find.

So this friend who will probably be dying in a few years of a heart attack (I know by just looking at him) sez to me after I told him about the alternative cures such as Dr. Hulda Clark's zapper, the Italian oncologist who discovered cancer tumors are fungi, etc.....

"I don't buy all that. Here's why. With all the independent research aside from our standard pharma agencies, no one has come up with anything, and they are not in it for monetary gain."

Well, I didn't have a come back. But all I could say is that they aren't looking for any forest beyond the trees they've been educated to identify. I know that falls short, but what to say to that?

Hey TC
I just read through that and I don't think this particular parasite is what is involved in my situation. There are DEFINITELY more than one parasite involved in Morgellons and in whatever parasitic disease each one of us on this forum has. It's already been established that most of us test positive for Lyme and whether or not tested, it's mostly assured that we have herpes in one form or another. I'm guessing the crypto is a major player.

We have to find the common denominator, whatever that is.

TC...which pictures were you referring to that you were warning about? I must be protectively galvanized at this point. those white ribbony examples look a lot like the borrelia pictures I've seen.

Do you ever wonder if scientists are in their own little world sometimes when they give names to things? Hellooooo have you seen Meldon's new discovery of the same thing with a different name?

Mmmm well something bit Jims goolies don't forget-could be that -it mentions the scrotum.Best not tell him I think I'll leave his head in the sand.
Mentions gut obstruction too and thats what took the horse.Certainly worth looking at.
It does seem there is a worm prob in USA (and Britain)that isn't being recognised I was reading some case histories on a site about it.Think it was curezone.Its no good these articles saying these things occur in Asia and various other far flung places-we have so many immigrants they are bound to have brought the 'odd one or two with them'.We have a resurgence of TB here now,which had been totally eradicated and it has been proved to have been brought in.I do think its time the doctors in both countries opened their eyes to this.Arrogant people.

Hi Kritts,

I think that the parasites I am seeing that look like what I see with my naked eye are the ribbon shaped ones. I am sure that there may be other worms which could also look like this. Borrelia though, wouldn't that one be microscopic in size? What I see has never been microscopic. 1/2 inch more like it. Even things which come out of the blood and sometimes I think the lymph I can see just fine.

Hey, Pat, sorry it looks like what is around Jim's goolies. Not the woolies one would like to see I am sure . Yes, I do think that these parasites continue to try to block the bowels and the urinary tract. I am always using herbs to clear these areas. If not on one thing I am on something else.

Yes, we have an outbreak of parasites and diseases in the US too. Time the doctors got their heads out of the sand.

Gotta run.

best tcm
