Well, it's me again guys. I have never had any trouble with my teeth before, just normal things, until about one year before the lesions started. Keep in mind that I had been dx with fibromyalgia, CFS, IBS, about eight herniated disks, connective tissue loss (severe), and have been hospitalized several times over the last 20 years with what could only be diagnosed as "gastritis". I guess I could have had this longer than I know.

About a year before the lesions, right after Halloween of 2004, I was eating one of the kids candy, nerds, and I had over half of a molar to break off, it didn't hurt for quite some time. About a year ago, which would have been almost two years after the first lesions, I started having some severe pain in that tooth. I noticed from the beginning of the lesions that I had a large soft mass in the roof of my mouth close to my left eye tooth. When I went to the dentist he found an abscess in the tooth that broke off, it cost almost 1600 dollars to have a root canal and cap for that one.

I mentioned to the dentist that I had the lump in the roof of my mouth and he examined it. He had not seen the abscess in the eye tooth when he looked at my x-rays. After seeing the lump he took a second look, and saw the abscess up in my sinuses. He said the nerve of the eye tooth was dead, and proved it by touching it with the cold stuff?, I didn't feel it, so he touched a tooth that had the feeling in it, and I literally came off the chair it hurt so bad.

It trully upset the dentist, and he said he didn't know if he could even fix it and sent me to an oral surgeon. The surgeon said all he could do is cut it out, so I went back to the dentist. It will be another $1600 to fix it which I can't spare right now. I hope the protocol will keep the infection down until I can.

I started using Dr. Tishner's Peppermint mouth was after that. I had started getting a sticky gummy substance in my mouth that was actually making my teeth stick together like they had gumm on them, and also thrush like symptoms. It has helped tremendously. I use Listermint Mint mouthwash with peroxide in it when my mouth is in good shape, and make sure that my toothpaste is peppermint. I also use peppermint oil to spray down all ulpholstery and to mop with, and it seems to help.

I'm not sure anything gets rid of the fibers. I still find them everywhere, although not as many as before. I have them coming out of lesions right now, white fibers, and the black ones are very fragile, not near as strong as the white ones.

Just my 2cents
Niecy

Are latent, immediate-early genes of herpes simplex virus-1 essential in causing trigeminal neuralgia?

Ecker AD, Smith JE.

Med Hypotheses. 2002 Nov; 59(5):603-6.

The etiology and pathogenesis of major trigeminal neuralgia remain largely unknown, but are believed to result from an irritative lesion near the semilunar ganglion. We suggest that its primary cause is a single, active DNA sequence in the persistent but non-integrated genome of latent herpes simplex virus type 1 commonly observed in a few infected A-delta nerve fibers of the cheek. Facial pain occurs as a result of herpes virus reactivation and when supplies of neurotrophins controlling normal transport functions of axolemmal ion channels become depleted

So, here again, we have the herpes virus and the lymes virus both implicated in the tri-geminal invasion and inhabitation. Next thing you know they'll be setting up camps to take over oil production. (;-)..tee hee.

The herpes simplex virus type 1 ICP0 promoter is activated by viral reactivation stimuli in trigeminal ganglia neurons of transgenic mice.

Loiacono CM, Taus NS, Mitchell WJ.

J Neurovirol. 2003 Jun; 9(3):336-45.

Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) causes a latent infection in sensory ganglia neurons in humans and in the mouse model. The ability of the virus to latently infect neurons and reactivate is central to the ability of HSV-1 to remain in the human population and spread to new hosts. It is possible that neuronal transcriptional proteins control latency and reactivation by modulating activation of the HSV-1 immediate-early (IE) gene ICP0. We have previously shown that factors in trigeminal ganglia neurons can differentially activate the IE ICP0 promoter and the IE ICP4 promoter in developing trigeminal ganglia neurons of transgenic mice. Ultraviolet (UV) irradiation and hyperthermic stress have been shown to result in HSV-1 reactivation from sensory neurons in the mouse model. Reporter transgenic mice were exposed to UV irradiation or hyperthermia to test whether stimuli that are known to reactivate HSV-1 could activate viral IE promoters in the absence of viral proteins. Measurement of beta-galactosidase activity in trigeminal ganglia from these transgenic mice indicated that the ICP0 promoter activity was significantly increased by both UV irradiation and hyperthermia. The IE genes ICP4 and ICP27 and the late gene gC reporter transgenes failed to be activated in parallel experiments. These results suggest that the ICP0 promoter is a target for activation by host transcription factors in sensory neurons that have undergone damage. It further suggests the possibility that activation of ICP0 gene expression by neuronal transcription factors may be important in reactivation of HSV-1 in neurons

I didn't remember the pain from my other teeth "breaking" off but right now I have a doozey of a toothache. My dentist put in a composite filling in March and yesterday I ate a pretzel and popped the composite loose. Now it is connected by gum (?! ) tissue and I have an abcess. Peppermint extract (found in the spice section of my local grocery store) is helping control the pain...

The broken off roots are white and soft, like a plant root in a jar of water...

I HATE this caca blanca. I WILL survive!

In the white light,

Jonsi,

I feel your pain. I keep losing chunks of my teeth quite a bit lately. I lost half of one of my front teeth, on the back side thankfully, while I was sleeping the other night. Sleeping! I just don't get it. But like you said, it hurts like the ****ens. I've been using a Orajel type pen to get up in the crevices which seems to help.

Hang in there. Maybe you and I can go get dentures together one day.

Hi, whitedove, here,

I have always had good teeth until this Morgellons came on me.
Now, my dentist says my gums are receeding and have a mild inflammation,
and, I need my teeth cleaned every four months instead of every six months.
I have weird stains, brown in color. I feel like "things" appear in my mouth out of
nowhere. I awken in the morning with yuckie mouth, I didnt' have that before.

dentures!! WHO'S SMILE WILL WE CHOOSE? I read a while ago that you can get something like a bite block contraption to cover your regular teeth for the perfect "movie star of your choice" smile!

Sign me up!

In the white light and perfect smile someday!

I'm saying! I'm seriously thinking of getting my uppers crowned. I'm not a candidate for veneers anymore because of the huge tooth loss and gum damage. Bummer, they're much cheaper and I would like to have movie star teeth! I figure I'll have to get all my lowers pulled sometime soon since they're so bad. I think lowers are easier to wear than the uppers.

Boy, if you would've told me ten years ago if my teeth would be this bad I would've thought you were nuts.

Hi
Kritters, I about fell over when I was reading your post about you dreaming about losing your teeth. As a young adult I had the same dreams. I always hoped it would not happen. Always had great teeth, pretty teeth, not now. Some years back started getting cavities and at the end of last year had to have one pulled. You have to understand this was MY NIGHTMARE coming true. I would have never just had a tooth pulled,I'd have tried to save it. But I knew it was senseless. My wisdoms are gone, but my bottom second from back are chiped and broken off on both sides. The tops are starting to do the same. Same teeth both sides. Also I see this stuff in my fillings.I truly feel they know about this just by little coments that have been made and attitude change. This whole mess is like a big puzzle and the more I think back on things the more the pieces fit for so many things.
BYE-BYE C
