Parasite study: Leishmania donovani Not that I believe morgellons will turn out to be the particular parasite found in the the abstract below, but still I think this abstract shows that there is a lot to be learned about parasites which are difficult to eradicate as their life cycle is different from the easier to control parasites. In this group one can consider malaria and Schistosoma parasites and ultimately probably the newly discovered morgellons parasite, all of whom I believe reproduce in areas other than just the intestinal tract. So it is interesting to see that some studies are being done which may help broaden the understanding of how these types of parasites hide within the host body--maybe this could also include the mycoplasma infections and the chlamydia infections which hide so successfully in the host cells: http://genomebiology.com/2008/9/2/R35
