| Good luck, Millie - just make sure you buy a good quality collodial silver. I recommend www.germslayer.net or lifesilver.com. Germslayer is a tad expensive compared to lifesilver.com. I notice that lifesilver.com has a collodial silver gel that would be interesting to try - should work good on mozzie bites. ASAP Ultimate Skin & Body Care This water soluble, non-staining, antimicrobial gel soaks directly and deeply into the skin at the site of cuts, burns, bacterial rashes, cold sores and fungal problems to halt the cause of infection and speed natural healing. It is very effective for treating sun burns. ASAP Solution, at a strength of 24 parts per million of pure nanoparticle silver, is suspended in a soothing clear gel. The gel is absorbed into the skin in seconds, leaving an invisible protective film on the surface. Doctor Recommended Proven Safe Unique SilverSol Technology™ Patented Process - US Patent #7,135,195 Thousands of Microbial Tests Peer Review Scientific Papers Mother Approved Please note that I have no affiliation with either company, other than I use their products. |

I note what you said about Dengue Fever I know about it as I've visited Brasil where it's prevalent, but I'd believed that it wasn't that life-threatening, except for children, where the severe dehydration could cause death. Is it more deadly than I'd realised? I'm asking as I now suspect that I've had it (&/or Borrelia/Lyme Disease), as I've had a severe fever during 3 of my visits, but kept myself hydrated & sweated it out. It's only now that I've been diagnosed with CFS and Lyme/Borrelia, Chlamydia Pneumoniae (& these Cryptostrongylus pulmoni) that I'm realising how serious these 'holiday bugs' can be. Thanks. |

| Hi ozonegirl Dengue can be deadly. That is why I take 2 tsp of colloidal silver as a preventative measure. Last night I had 3 mozzie bites and I sprayed them with the silver and this AM there is no sign of any kind of bite. Generally, with me, the bites swell up to huge mounds and itch like crazy. Polysporin also works – it is an antibiotic ointment you can buy OTC in Canada and the States. There are two forms of dengue - dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever, which appears to be a complication of dengue itself. Dengue is a blood-borne microscopic infection and the parasite is similar to malaria. Dengue fever is a flu-like illness spread by the bite of an infected mosquito. Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a severe, often fatal, complication of dengue fever. Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a severe, often fatal, complication of dengue. Dengue fever usually starts suddenly with a high fever, rash, severe headache, pain behind the eyes, and muscle and joint pain. The severity of the joint pain has given dengue the name "breakbone fever." Nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite are common. A rash usually appears 3 to 4 days after the start of the fever. The illness can last up to 10 days, but complete recovery can take as long as a month. Older children and adults are usually sicker than young children. Most dengue infections result in relatively mild illness, but some can progress to dengue hemorrhagic fever. With dengue hemorrhagic fever, the blood vessels start to leak and cause bleeding from the nose, mouth, and gums. Bruising can be a sign of bleeding inside the body. Without prompt treatment, the blood vessels can collapse, causing shock (dengue shock syndrome). Dengue hemorrhagic fever is fatal in about 5 percent of cases, mostly among children and young adults. http://www.dhpe.org/infect/dengue.html Hope this helps. Tara |

| Epidemic dengue has become more common since the 1980s. By the late 1990s, dengue was the most important mosquito-borne disease affecting humans after malaria, there being around 40 million cases of dengue fever and several hundred thousand cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever each year. There was a serious outbreak in Rio de Janeiro in February, 2002 affecting around one million people and killing sixteen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dengue_fever |

| Hi Millie! I would appreciate it if you would keep me in the loop regarding your experience after trying the ASAP gel. Looks like it would be a great travel aid although I do carry colloidal silver with me when I travel. Good Luck. | …. systemic mycoplasmal infections can cause chronic fatigue, muscle pain and a variety of additional signs and symptoms, some of which are related to dysfunctional immune responses and in extreme cases autoimmune-like disorders. Some mycoplasmas can invade virtually every human tissue and can compromise the immune system, permitting opportunistic infections by other bacteria, viruses, fungi and yeast. Recent reports and publications indicate that in addition to mycoplasmal infections, CFS/ME and FMS patients have other chronic infections caused by other intracellular bacteria and viruses. For example, patients with Lyme Disease, caused by intracellular Borrelia infections, have been diagnosed with CFS/ME. Also, CFS/ME and FMS patients can have intracellular Chlamydia species infections. These patients can also have infections by other bacteria that enter their bodies through 'leaky gut' problems. Chronically ill patients often have inflammatory bowel syndrome and other gut problems, and this can allow pathogenic bacteria to enter their systems. http://www.immed.org/illness/fatigue..._research.html |
