Been there, done that...amargo was not a 'cure' and did not stop lesion formations. I can also include the sweet wormwood used in TCM for malarial type infections in that classification, not a cure and did not stop lesion formations. I have used a lot of South American herbs over time besides amargo (cassia), no cure--maybe some improvement...I think it is essential to learn what we have with a good deal more certainty than the inaccurate guesswork we have now so that treatments can be more accurately pinpointed to relieve symptoms. Hopefully there will be more scientific research coming out at some date in the future. Controlling inflammation IMO will be key to recovery. Along with detoxifying accumulations of toxic heavy metals. Recently I found the use of some antibiotics helped ameliorate some symptoms, such as fatigue. I don't know how long it will last, but it's the best improvement of fatigue I have experienced since first becoming ill. And believe me, I have use a lot of herbs over six years.
