Default Question for Dr. Bev or others?

This question is for Dr. Bev or anyone with a similar situation or who has some input.
I have been advised by a dentist that I need to have crown lengthening on one tooth, and to have an old root canal on a molar extracted and replaced with an implant and new crown. The implant would require cleaning out the cavitation and grafting bone tissue before the implant is actually inserted. I am not sure how much my Morgellons is going to act up. I still have bite marks which have been on my body a month and have turned into Morgellons lesions and are very slow in healing (I'm also diabetic), not to mention my scalp lesions. I just can't imagine I wouldn't have a Morgellons infestation at this site. I haven't yet brought this up, but I've argued for other options and he says there really aren't any satisfactory options. He says the tooth is too brittle and would break if he just recrowned it. The implant work would cost $9,000!, so I'm just not sure what to do. Any thoughts from anyone? Thanks very much.

BPW,
I was in this situation a few years ago. I had the tooth pulled and had a bone graph put in at the same time. I have about 10+ yrs to have a tooth made and put into the bone graph material. I am lucky that the tooth is on side of mouth and not in the front. If you don't have the bone graph there is not anything to attach tooth to later. The bone graph was not to expensive and has bought me time. I hope this helps you. You have options.

Yeah, I have NO Experience with complicated dental work. Or much knowledge about it, really. Luckily, I have only lost one tooth to this disease, and I choose to just have it pulled out, so that it could heal, and NOTHING else done, since it didn't show much, and there was no real bone loss.

Michelle's advice sounds really good, best to be REALLY conservative, and minimalistic on all work, until you can get your Morgellons under good control, such as when you are on medical management, or at least much improved.

I have run into the same issues. A month or so ago I had two teeth pulled. One at the very back and one on the side. It really bothered me to start pulling teeth, but that was only the tip of the iceberg..... I also have a broken tooth- the third one to break inlast 2 years. So, I need to have it crowned. Another has a cavity so far down that it needs a crown and I need 2 root canals and crowns! I cried. I have never had bad teeth. I'm 51 and was not expecting this. My mom still has ALL of her teeth.
I just about feel over when I read that morgs can effect your teeth. The dentist put me on prescription toothpaste because they could not understand what was going on. But, all of my sores have been on my face, so I imagine that they are probably damaging my teeth.
