Default More on brain fog

Pls. forgive me for posting about brain fog yet AGAIN (previous post: anyone else feeling dyslexic) but I've had a really disturbing few days -- the more my physical symptoms IMPROVE, the more my brain fog, depression and insomnia WORSEN.

Today I was driving locally (the only kind of driving I do these days) and got so disoriented, I almost got into an accident. After yet another good cry, I decided to calm down and do more research on it.

I've mentioned herxheimer reaction before (you feel worse as your body gets rid of toxins) but found there's a new term for it: immunopathology. So I googled brain fog and ip and was relieved to find all the symptoms we've been talking about -- including stuttering which was mentioned by someone. Below is some of the info I found and a page link.

Hope this helps others who might also be fearing for their deteriorating mental health, even with improved physical health. (For me, the neurological symptoms are even MORE disturbing than the physical ones.) So once again, am happy to learn that all of this torture is actually "a good thing." Oy vey...

http://www.marshallprotocol.com/forum32/2218.html

Here's an excerpt from the link:

-I just feel like my brain has shut down.
-Also, I am having more difficulty finding the right words
-and sometimes (when I talk faster than my brain is working) I stutter. I never used to stutter and have always been a good speaker.
-Also, sometimes I will stop what I'm saying mid-sentence because I forget what I was saying or the effort of completing the sentence or thought (by finding the right words and putting things in the right sequence) just seems too exhausting. I often will start talking and then say "oh never mind." This irritates people after a while.
-Been having trouble sleeping lately.
................

Immunopathology is an increase in your present Th1 inflammation symptoms, or a return of previous Th1 inflammation symptoms, that is caused by cytokines and endotoxins being released from the dying bacteria. Your immune system reaction will be unique to your systemic Th1 inflammatory involvement. The following is only a partial list of possible immunopathology symptoms: fatigue, muscle weakness, rash, headache, photosensitivity, pain anywhere, numbness, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, ringing in the ears, toothache, sinus congestion, nasal stuffiness, fever/chills, flu-like bodyache, cough, irritability, depression, sleep disturbances and ‘brain-fog.’ I

Oy Vey is RIGHT. I don't know if I'm better or worse off for having a boss that pushes me constantly. For this past week I've been running a low grade fever. I feel a little clearer but still have little to no memory. I guess its good that I have to come to work and force myself or I'd stay home and alternate between the bed and the bath.

Mary, you crack me up! (oy vey)

please those who shall listen, try my posts regarding cumin use for this. there is a physicological cause for the neurological stuff we have. such as the inability to handle stress and also crying easy. my doc told me, nothing to panic over but brain swelling would cause us to not feel right, capiche? not to mention all the other inflammation we share in our bodies. no panic to know this, just want you guys to know there is physical proof disease hampers our brains (LC).

When I mentioned the depression, memory loss & inability to think clearly to the Dr. that wrote my protocol he said, "You basically have bugs eating away at your brain"!! Scarey thought, indeed, but he does claim to have had this and is in "almost complete remission." All HIS words, but thought I'd mention to you guys what he told me.
Hugs, Philly

PS He also told me these symptoms will resolve w/treatment (antiparasitics, antifungals & antibiotics)
