Default Any body have any experience with nistatin?

I received my stool test results from Genova,... no parasites. I do have a potential pathogen concerning fungus. My doc wants to put me on nistantin in about a week. The reason we are waiting is that I took an antiparasitic drug...Mebendazole... that realy helped my skin. I asked my doc why would this work so well if I don't have parasites. The only thing he could think of is that it is also an anti itch drug. So I am going to do another couple day course of this. It works for me, go figure. Then on to the nistantin for fungus. I am off the low dose naltrexone until after the nistantin.
Just wondering what kind of exsperience you people might of had with Nistantin.
Janice

Default Added Zinc to IV yesterday.

Yeah, zinc was added yesterday and I could feel it working on my sinuses as I sat there. I have had this problem with sinuses since the whole morg thing started. I am going to ask if we can do the zinc one more time. Janice

Janice -

Is the Nystatin (sp?) you are going to use in liquid form? If so, I used it at the very beginning for my severe candida issues.. it didn't help me much at all, in fact, the liquid nystatin has sugar in it, which candida feeds on, so I gave it up soon after starting to take it .. didn't seem to make much of a difference for me.

I, too, had fungus/mold found in my stool testing. I also have mold still in my skin... though I have improved soooo much since 1 year ago. It's important to stay away from sugar, and my doc recommended more zinc based on some testing. I notice more purging of the black mold after increasing the zinc - it's supposed to have antifungal properties! So, it makes sense that you would feel it affect your sinuses if you have mold/fungus/candida there. I have both mold and candida still in my sinuses. I have used natural antifungals in the past that worked well.. caprylic acid and Pau D' Arco both seemed to work really well for me. I'm about to go back on them for awhile.

Vitamin C IV's should help you greatly. I tried a few, but my veins were too sensitive, so we discontinued them. I do Vitamin C flushes and take large amts of Vitamin C daily. The Vitamin C will also combat fungus. I can feel my sinuses draining during a Vitamin C flush.

Default Thanks Gigi

It's too bad your veins couldn't take the vit C IV, some times, not all, is they have to slow the drip way down until you get used to it. What is a vit c flush? Is that like a push? My doc was going to say,"just stay on the caprilic acid", but on the test results from Genova labs, they state that nistantin is the most effective in the fungus I have. So I will be on both, so I guess I'm covered.. Yeah, I realy liked the zinc added to my IV, I take it in capsule form as well. Janice

Janice -

I do believe you are correct about slowing the drip. Anyway, I did two of them, and my doc just preferred me to stop for the time being. My veins are still scarred 9 months later, but they are better than before.

I found some info on the vitamin C flush:
Vitamin C Flush

When I do flushes, I use 1 teaspoon in 4 oz of water and drink it. I do this every 1/2 hr until I flush. You can also do something called an accelerated flush once you have done a number of these, where you take your usual amt that you flush with over an hour's period of time and then just wait 1/2 hr, then start taking 1 tsp every half hour from there until you flush.

I do the accelerated flush mostly because my need for vitamin c is so high, it would take me too many hours to flush. My doc has me do these every week to every other week.

Default Hi GiGi

God, that sounds realy horrible to still be scarred 9 months later. I hate to say it but, I think it has more to do with who inserted your IV than your vein sensativity. Please forgive me for saying this, it just appears to be "not" normal.
Well I am glad you have the flush to use. I think we all nead very high levals of vit C. Are your glutathione levals up so the vit c can do it's job? I learned the hard way about this. If you do alot of vit c and glutathione levals are down, you can start to feel worse. GiGi , how are you feeling in general ?

A nurse did the IV, but partly I think it was my fault for wanting to try to get the IV in as soon as possible, being that I was on a lunch break from work!!
I didn't know that veins could harden and scar due to fast drips.

I am feeling quite well... I've been working at this for a year and I've come a long way. My doc is giving me glutathione in the form of a supplement that I take 4 times a day. This supplement is part of a detox formula which is designed to help the liver detox chemicals more effectively. I know that my liver pathways are imbalanced, so I need help in this area!

Right now, I just came off some vacation, so my eating has gone downhill a bit. I need to get back on track with the anti-candida diet. The most annoying symptom for me is the sinus congestion and drainage.

I still suffer from leaky gut, which causes me a lot of food intolerances. My skin gets red and rashy when I eat something I am intolerant of. I am still working on this. I am also still working on chelating metals since I found out I have a high metal load in my body. I will be retested in about 2 months.

I just started on a tad bit of thyroid medication since my thyroid is a little on the hypo side. I'm hoping it will help fix some of my cycle irregularities.

My skin symptoms have greatly improved since last year. A lot of my acne (caused by yeast) has cleared up and the larva have gone away.. I still get remnants of black specks (mold) out and I still get some white, grain-like particles on the skin... but all have greatly improved. I live normally with no excessive cleaning and no bugs anymore. No one itches around me anymore either... One of the most significant improvements for me is in the fact that my severe depression (which I have had for at least 20 years) is now gone. I never knew what it was like to not feel depressed without feeling medicated!

How about you? How have you been feeling? It sounds like you are in good hands!

Default Howdy GiGi

I know my vit c drip takes a good hour and a half to finish. The glutathione push takes another 15 min. It is a time consuming thing.
I am feeling much better. I have been doing all this for about 3 months. I now have to get exersise into my day. I am going to start slow, just walking around the block.
As I read more and more about Morgelons, I'm thinking this is an autoimmune disease. We may all have different triggers, but the skin response is the same. I know this item is from 2009 but I some how missed it. It kind of brought this full circle for me. I just hate when they mention the delusional part, it is so stupid ya gotta laugh.

CONCLUSIONS: These data suggest Morgellons disease can be characterized as a physical human illness with an often-related delusional component in adults. All medical histories support that behavioral aberrancies onset only after physical symptoms. The identified abnormalities include both immune deficiency and chronic inflammatory markers that correlate strongly with immune cytokine excess. The review of 251 current NLM DP references leads us to the possibility that Morgellons disease and DP are grossly truncated labels of the same illness but with the reversal of the cause-effect order. Further, the patients' data suggest that both illnesses have an infectious origin.

So I am looking into Immune cytokine excess, it has alot to do with fibromyalga , arthritis ect. I am going to print this up and bring it to my dear doctor.

So any how I think we are getting a handle on it with our vitamins and our good doctors. You sound like your in good hands too. Janice
