Comparison of FIR Sauna Brands

I started this thread for people who would like to debate differences between the various brands of FIR (Far Infrared) saunas. That way ChatCat's thread about healing protocols can stay supportive as she requested, but people are still able to debate specifics. It is also more convenient for ppl researching if the threads stays on the topic mentioned in the thread title. This way everyone wins. ChatCat keeps her topic as intended and if people actually do have concerns then they will be able to keep that discussion on target here.

If the fibers are plastic then it seems to me someone should have noticed this in some of the early studies of the fibers. I thought claims have been made by Staninger and some of the early researchers like Wymore that the fibers will not melt until very high temperatures are reached, temperatures which are much higher than those reached in any sauna or in the body. So in what way could using any sauna, including a steam cabinet sauna, hurt those with Morgellons symptoms? If the fibers only melt at extremely high temperatures then there should be no problem in using any sauna.

When asking questions which need to be answered on another thread it is not off topic and it is not disrespectful. What I asked needs to be answered there on that thread, not here on this one. No one is offering supporting documentation to show that such statements are factual on that thread. Asking for factual documentation of statements is hardly out of line on any thread, especially since people are being asked to believe that one particular sauna is the one and only sauna which works for Morgellons patients. Also leaving these sorts of posts on another thread with no supporting data makes it sounds as if the only reason to post this information was to sell this sauna. And this sauna is sold by a particular person. Is this a forum where questions may be asked on any thread as long as they are not in your face you are totally wrong questions or is this a place in which to sell products, no questions welcomed by the seller or sellers of such products? Yes, this view point seems to be saying: any and all questions must be asked on another thread where potential clients on this "support" thread will not be distracted by pesky and unwanted questions. When making these statements on a thread (other saunas will not work for those who have Morgellons), it begins to look like the "support" thread is really an excuse to start an extended ad for a product or products sold by a particular person. It also looks as if no answers are readily available for the questions asked.

And as far as I know you are not the forum moderator Fracty so it is not up to you to decide to open up another thread and try to move all discussion which asks hard questions there.

I've been asking for facts from her crowd since day one and I have yet to see any, just mumbo jumbo. All I can say is that infrared system she sells must get mighty hot to melt them fibers that don't melt at even 1700 degrees. Sounds like someone might need to do some editing.

Yes, Steve, I have to wonder where all the solid data is to support some of what I am hearing. If that sauna got hot enough to melt the fibers the person in it would be beyond recognition.

Sorry the only names available seem to conveniently disappear from the radar. Even schools disappear and any data which could be searched from that. Documentation...wispy as a cloud.

Thought it was a good idea to compare FIR Sauna Brands and think it could be done without naming names. Didn't SS or somebody bring up some of this information somewhere else? I got what you were attempting to accomplish here and respect that.

You are not alone with your questions. I had some of my own and it appears they have not been answered yet. About those claims made of patients treated (by anyone). I am also interested in the numbers of those who are well and hope they are honest, accurate, and have to also wonder if all those #'s even apply to everyone who is diagnosed or self diagnosed. If they do apply to everyone under what instances does that info belong to everyone? Not getting answers doesn't necessarily indicate personal guilt or foul play where those #'s are concerned.

It's simple really. Don't make questionable statements if you don't want questions?

Yes, Livewell, I agree if statements cannot be proven it would be better not to make them in the first place. A sauna study which seems not to have been published is a huge inconsistency. All mentions made about working with three other universities has yielded no mention of S either in published papers or in studies. No well patients have come forward. Questions remain and so far there do not seem to be any answers.

The area of study at the one school does not even match what she said was studied. I just find it all starting to look a little cooked up

On one of the progress sites posted it does not even mention a first name of the person in the before or after picture.
