As TCM mentioned, that link did not work, but I did some checking and found this:

Basically it says the specific combination of these anti-oxidants (ascorbic acid, sodium citrate and glycerol. ) does not remove the M bacteria but inhibits growth. Toward the botton of the paper he gives info to help individuals determine dosage amounts.

He probably means Trisodium citrate, but I am not sure. It could be:

Monosodium citrate,
Disodium citrate, or
Trisodium citrate

I guess he made it this way:

The sodium citrate solution has been prepared by combining lemon juice with baking soda to reaction completion.

but I would rather just buy pre-made so the measurement is very safe and exact. Or I guess if he would tell us how the exact amounts measure out in gms.

I was concerned about the glycerol part too. Plus it is hard to get. But his research says it has to be this specific combination to be effective.

While this is interesting the research appears to have been done in petri dishes and there is no way for us to know it would be as effective on humans. Still, it is interesting as the baking soda seems to help kill some tumors.

Could glycerin as used in some herbal formulas be substituted or is this the same as glycerol or related to it? I know that propylene glycol sometimes used in food flavorings bothers me.

ya, and the baking soda poultices I did from the start helped me. It got rid of all of the lesions from the start. It was something my grandmother did when I was little and I was so desperate I remembered it and tried it.

So..Mr.Carnicom is not only using citric acid (sodium citrate) but also adding baking soda which has led to growth inhibition?

well...that's another aspect we should consider and of course is very important for further conclusions IMO.

As we all know, morgies have low body temperature, a typical symptom of this disease.

When you combine sodium citrate and sodium bicarbonate it comes to a so called endothermic reaction, meaning the temperature rises by creating energy. I am thinking that might be the clue! By ingesting high amounts of Vitamin C plus the intake of baking soda, it not only alkalizes our blood but also leads to an increase in body temperature. It's like creating an artificial fever which enhances the immune system and acts as an immune booster...double boost!

I would like to know, which temperature the medium had after adding this combination. Perhaps Mr.Carnicom should set a thermometer for further research and confirmation.

Like I stated before, I don't think it's a good idea to ingest glycerol, it's toxic and in almost everything we eat. IMO, it made us susceptible to contracting M as I believe it 'messed' up our metabolism thus leading to an overreaction of hydroxyl radicals in combination with iron. Kinda like a 'vice-versa overdrive'.

And..yes..I must say it again...ZINC!..to stop the Fenton's reaction.
