Here's an old thread, started by Niecy, who has not posted here for awhile. I love this post because in it she lists a professional source which outlines the only proper way that doctors can diagnose DOP in patients. If they do not do follow these steps then they are open to lawsuits. Doctors are not psychologists or psychiatrists. The majority of doctors are treading on thin ice by diagnosing DOP as they are not qualified in any way to do so. I have not heard of anyone suing a doctor for this improper diagnosis yet, but I think if I had been so diagnosed I would have immediately seen a lawyer who would take my case. Assuming he felt he could win it, then no money would be paid until the case was won.

Any chance that that one of the articles which came up on the MEDSCAPE search of MEDLINE (found on this url) was the one sent to you? With the titles that come up now under that url you could probably find the article on MEDLINE. Of course, none of these articles may be the one you are looking for. It seems that MEDSCAPE is only for registered users (doctors)so I doubt anyone could have left a message there anyway.

The same $hit$tain that is the King of AMA Dermatology. He's been in my sites for yrs. Think he's Jeffrey Meffert.

He was a DBAG in a CDC tele-conference years ago and I have HATED him ever since. (but he was very hateful and rude about victims, anyone like that seems PAID OFF to me.)

He went and got himself on the board of at least emedicine and probably these other websites they list. (check it out, I betcha!)

They are PAID w/Blood Money to lie. This turd needs a pink slip. He's a BIG part of the problem - would have the ability to skew the training of ALL American Dermatologists.

We need to start a STICKY boycott thread, if you all have not done that. All DOP docs should go there, as well as these websites, GMO food using companies. Monsanto, Bayer Agro Science, Max Planck Society - anyone we even suspect

We'll do a form letter, with faxes and emails for each of us to ***** @ these websites, DOP docs and anyone who doesn't know better that's still on the wrong side of this battle - cuz you don't just boycott: you let them know you're having everyone you know boycott and telling everyone they BLOW.

If we have a cool doc, we get them to back us up and BOYCOTT and complain, too.

They think we don't know Big Pharma pays for American docs continuing education? This country was sold to Big Pharma a long time ago and it is a disgrace...

If such a thread were started, it could make MDR a target for lawsuits by these doctors and companies. Naming names without well researched proof which would hold up legally against those who have a lot of money might not be the best idea. Perhaps the person here who intends to start her own sites and is so passionate about anger and hate could use her own site to support these ideas in the future. Anyway, I think Franky has said the forum here is mainly for support of fellow sufferers.

Hi Sky! - I had a DOP misdiagnoser/derm 'clear a schedule' and pretend to rush me in after I asked them on the phone about "Morgellon's" before I would schedule - and charge me $150+ to tell my family I was making marks on my body for attention!

Then, he told them not to talk about it w/me or to EVER acknowledge my physical symptoms because that only encourages OUR delusions!

This office KNEW they were going to Ziploc Me and they preyed on my fear and pretended to rush me in, knowing he was going to misdiagnose me.

Derms needs schooled, they are the most common offender!

The way to do this is: You say what you think/what you experienced. Last time I checked, that was still a right in this corrupt country.

Why should we NOT protect others from them? I'll go stand outside their office w/a sign, if I feel like it. He has a ton of Morgellon's DOP misdiagnoses, he said so (see Bee's DOC post today - that's THIS derm.)

We don't let others get the Fake 911 emergency visit and get ripped off w/DOP, when they think they have found help. THIS is a predatory scam.

People want to talk on here about 'protecting new members from trickery and deceit' - Please, here's a way to stop making new members. Why 'debunk' that? (hmmmm).

The price of their malpractice insurance goes through the roof when they have to turn in a claim (HA HA!) - They won't be able to afford to continue misdiagnosing and hurting us.

BTW, you're welcome--I am glad to have helped by suggesting that you post names of doctors and organizations you don't like on your own site. I do not think Franky needs lawsuits on his hands.
