Default Milk of Magnesia

Not sure if this has been used before but to stop crawling and biting using a quarter size amount of original flavor Milk of Magnesia on your face as a wash will take off the dead skin and stops the crawling and biting. Remember to shake the bottle.

Milk of magnesia has a pH of 10.5 (from 7 base...to 14) which means it's really alkaline. This makes sense.

Ooooh, I would not put MOM in your hair. I think it will strip all the oils out. I use seabuckthorn shampoo for my hair by pure fresh solutions and it's been working well. I use their scalp spray for a body spray and it's healed a lot of my sores, but I can't use it on my face because it breaks me out, so I use Selson Blue shampoo moisturing formula as a face wash and that works well. (Don't put it around your eyes or it will dry the skin out.) 65% glycolic acid works well for face sores but that may be too strong to start with. You can get a bottle off the internet for use at home. I do peels a few times a week.

thanks Tex,
I still might try the MOM on hair if it got bad again. I don't often have sores. For me baking powder poultices and rubs get rid of them. I have done lots of bad things to my hair since this started, but sometimes it was teh only way to get relief when the hair was movin and biting.

Default M of Magnesia

It does work well. I use it on my face everyday before I apply my make-up and I also wash with it every other day.

Thanks for posting about this one Love4life.

Here's what wiki mentions:

"Milk of magnesia is also used as a folk remedy, applied and massaged in (a few minutes before washing), to relieve symptoms of seborrhea and dandruff. The mechanism for its effectiveness in this application, like the causes of seborrhea itself, are unknown. An additional folk use is for the treatment of acne or oily skin by applying topically, allowing to dry, and then washing it off the face (or other body part). It is also said to be used for seborrheic dermatitis, which is a drying and flaking of the skin similar to dandruff but often occurring on the face."

Sounds like another good anti-morg product to me!

It is and for $2.00-$3.00 how can you go wrong?

I suffer from an oily greasy face and when I apply a
small amount to all areas of the face including the nose and t-zone, I notice a dramatic difference in how it controls unwanted shine.

I let it dry for a few minutes then apply my make-up. I don't need to reapply powder all day long. It has not caused any further break-outs or lessions.

Just be sure to buy the "non-flavored" brand.

Good Luck!

I've also heard that Milk of Magnesia is a wonderful deodorant! I use a salt/crystal deodorant bar which is much healthier that the stuff you buy at the grocery store that contains zinc.

Thank you Texas!

In the white light,
