Hi Posey, Here are some info and links: "A broad spectrum antimicrobial activity, without the use of toxic chemicals such as phenols, glutaraldehydes, or harsh alcohols. Ready to use formula, no dilution, mixing, or activation is needed... Ideal for use in kitchens." Also a company flyer: http://www.citrus2.com/pdf/Germicidal1207.pdf It is sold at Office Depot and Sally Beauty Supply.. probably other places. Here aer some online links: This one if you oder $45 or more gives you free shipping: Beaumont products Germicidal Cleaner, Citrus2, Nontoxic, 22 oz - BMT633712927 Well, from the pics you can see the specific one I mean. It is the germicidal, NOT the kinds for masks and tubing, and NOT the air freshener. It says not for porous surfaces.. but it is WORKING for me. ![]()

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yeah the laundry issue... I agree with what I've read on the replies here. I've tried many of the solutions offered up with limited success. What I am trying now ( the last month) is a bit expensive up front and maybe I can keep posting my progress as I go. I've bought a new washer.... There are some brands available now that have incredible hot cycles... the maytag I've bought has a "Sanitary Mode" that is a three hour cycle that uses an internally built heater (the water reaches 180 degrees)... It's an energy effiecient front loader that uses less power and water... Before this I was spending a small fortune on laundry and I wasn't getting the results I was looking for.... I sometimes soaked my laundry before I washed it... in a 5 gal bucket with boiling water and or enzymes. So far I had better results... One other thing I changed when I bought this washer was to throw out my old cotton sheets and buy some polyester sheets instead.... I bought my washer new but slightly scratched for about $600. Some of these newer models are an arm and a leg... 1200. and on up.. I also found a repair guy with warranties on my local craigslist..... Some of the models that have internal heaters that I know of are....Meile/Miele.....Bosch.... Maytag... you may have to do some research .... look for cycle names like....allergeine....xxsanitary...xxxsanitary...o r look for internal heaters as a feature.... This is not an endorsement to rush out and spend money... Just a progress report on someone who has... X Note.... i have posted this Twice now... once in another thread and now here because I think it is more appropriate on this thread...sorry.... also a chance to post on my progress... This has helped me tremendously... I can sleep most nights "bite" free! and not have attacks on my body when I wear laundered clothing... I do maintain a LOT of cleaning protocols in my house (contributing factor) if i do not wash my bedding everynight tho I usually feel one or two bites through the night. Maybe because my laundry doesn't sit around "festering" my washer is my dirty clothes hamper now. Xibby

Weeel... I can tell you one thing NOT to do.. I was drying clothes inside the apartment..using big box fans. For several years. Hey..aren't I the clever one..I can dry a load of laundry in a couple hours..for about a nickels worth of electricity... not the $1.50 for the [usually non functional] dryers provided in the 12plex basement. ....clothing never got heated...water in the crummy apartment washing machine..never very hot. Never in the dryer..and even if they they DID see the inside of the crummy driers..they only blow ..warm..at best. ..no heat...so no possibility of a "critter" getting cooked to death.. none of the "fiber critters" ever got so much as inconvenienced by laundry day. Fans blowing the tiny things around..as they keep multiplying. I just kept getting sicker. Where is all this "dust" coming from? ...the day came I was cleaning up my "box" a bit..found a HUGE amount of green fiber..stuff..piled on the kittys "brush clamped to a table leg". ?? why is the kitty brush covered in green lint? I own no green clothes.. and there is NO carpet in this squirrel cage..all wood floors. I collected the green fibers...about half a sandwich bags worth. All very mysterious. Closer examination [a month later] yielded more puzzles.. many colored fibers in the green "lint".. ......got a microscope..and the hunt was on. the fibers are everywhere. the pile of green fibers..apparently started out as a few fibers..collected by the cats..and the fibers grew into a pile that covered the kitty brush. ...that particular phenomena did not repeat. The air was full of "fibers". I managed to clog the "exterior/replacement " prefilter of one of the HEPA air cleaners..in ONE day. That's..bad. I had turned my apt into a "morg fiber" nursery. Lesson learned. I drive to the laundromat now.. 14 mile round trip...[cleanliness is next to... impossible..] Put a temperature logger into the dryer to verify that it's getting HOT enough..[ a bit dicey.."hot enough" was only about ten degrees from the "do not exceed" temp of the logger. Dryer passed test. [logger survived too!] luxury is not having a boat..a plane..a Rolls..it's having your own washer/dryer. [i suppose a clothes line MIGHT work is you have good sun..UV is supposed to be hard on "critters"... dry air would help too...[didn't have this problem in the desert..it all hatched when I came to NJ. lesson learned.] oh..I read that dryer sheets [bounce,,etc..] are death to nanocritters. puts a plastic coating on them. true? wishful thinking?.. I dunno. I never used them before..now I do. *rubs rabbits foot* *rabbit looks very annoyed. .
