Default Clearasil Daily Face Wash

I have found Clearasil Daily Face Wash to be helpful in clearing up pimple-like appearances on my face. The trick is to leave it on for a few minutes instead of washing it off after a few seconds. It seems to have a good exfoliating effect as well and helps with facial itching.

Daveapple,

I have used clearasil ointment for my blemishes to no avail. I only used it for the skin-toned color.

Does the face wash have salicylic acid in it? If so, that's what's probably helping.

Kritters

Just googled and the active ingredient is Triclosan!

Dave,
I noticed the same thing as you. One of the first strategies I tried very hard - and that helped - was anything to "scrape" off the skin (and related contaminants). I think I used that brand and some of the others because the salycilic acid (?spelling?) helps keep the bad things at bay.

Lately I have been using Trader Joe's Tea Tree face wash and it is WONDERFUL!!! I think it helps to periodically switch up products.

I also sometimes use the facial scrub types - and use them on my whole body. It helps.

BUT... if I could afford it right now, one thing that helps if you have the money is that Loreal face peel. You wash, then put on the clear gel burning liquid, then the deactivator, then another fruit acid lotion that continues peeling. It really helps.

Kritters,
I'm not sure if you also checked the "wash." That is what I used, not thei ointment.

No, I checked the wash! I'll check the ointment now.........

Clearasil acne treatment cream
active Ingredients:Aluminum Hydroxide, Bentonite, Carer, Glyceryl Stearate SE, .... Clearasil is right in declaring their ointment having the largest ...

Ultra Clearasil
Ultra Clearasil, one of the finest ointment for cure from acnes and pimples. ... ingredients in most products are salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. ...

Seems they use different ingredients for their different products.

Yeah, the one I like has Triclosan. They have another one (I think called Ultra) with salicylic acid, but I don't think it works as well for me.

Yeah, Fracty,

I used salicylic facial cleansers but they didn't do it for me. I think that works on bacteria? Not sure. Mine, I think, are a mixture of bacteria and something else that my HORMONES bring out (even though I'm post menopause LOL)

Hey how do you make a HOR MONE?

DON'T PAY HER.

lol Kritters.

You said something interesting about the hormones. This has changed my hormones. (I belive it is affecting my endocrine system and DNA.) But at any event, I know it could be from bacteria as well but I am growing CREEPY facial hair!!! I look sooo scary. and it is affecting the way ppl treat me so that I will probably lose a lot of work over this.

I have:

weird facial hair
huge weight gain (maybe 35 or 40 pounds)

and I wear the same weird clothes every day because I threw everything away.

Well, the first two seem to indicate this is causing hormonal changes. (I am pre-menopausal, but whatever is happening is the M - not the other m.)

Fracty,

I went through menopause (did you ever think about the 'etiology' of that word? lol).....about 6 years ago and had no side effects. No sweats, no flashes, no nothing. I get Morgellons and all hell breaks loose. I have some 'peach fuzz' at my jaw line near the ears, but no one notices but me. I have a sudden fondness for the movie, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and I'm not Greek! LOL....I've gained weight also, but from not being able to work out as I used to. Plus I fear I have a 20 lb. alien child in my gut. that could do it as well.

I definitely think hormones play a role not only in Morgellons, but in many diseases. I think estrogen plays a roll but have no clue why. Only personal experiences and hearing of others becoming ill to the point of death when hormone levels are obvious.

One day........some day........

We will put all of this together.

Tonite a friend told me her 9 month old grandbaby suddenly lost ability to move his legs and was diagnosed with Guillian-Barre syndrome. I already knew it was related to vaccines and I'm now in the process of sending information to her.

The medical profession is grossly irresponsible in bringing the truth to the surface.

Sorry........
