Default question on bites/lesions

hi,
i was curious if anyone else had this symptom:

i have what looks like very angry ingrown hairs/pimples on my thighs for a little over 2 months that i believe are morgellon lesions. my doctor gave me a topical antibiotic to put on them since she claims they are ingrowns (what ingrowns come in clusters of two?). Some of the redness has faded but they are still there. i've noticed in the past week now that there is a distinct ring of red dots around each mark. is this common with morgellons? i showed my family and they said it looks like ringworm. however from what i've researched ringworm doesn't present with a mark in the center. i was thinking lyme but i live in city and was not exposed to ticks.

i should also note these marks don't itch, only when i get warm water on them in the shower. are all morgellons lesions supposed to itch?

i just got DSP cream in the mail today, it says to use all over but i'm wondering if its safe to just spot treat on these marks?

thanks

You can be exposed to ticks anywhere, they travel just like we do.
Can't help with your question but DSP is great stuff.

Hi SHughes,

Ticks aren't the only vectors which spread Lyme. Many more insects than we'd like to know about spread it. Do you have any other symptoms of Lyme besides the skin lesions? In addition, there are other diseases attributed to being spread from insects like spiders and bedbugs, gnats, fruitflies, fleas, Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my!

Assess all your symptoms and go from there.

I use DSP cream and wouldn't be without it. It's a wonderful product.

hi kritters,
i had no idea you could get lyme from other things besides ticks. i've been having a lot of muscle aches and joint pain recently. i had a bedbug problem recently so that could be a contributing factor.

thanks for the info. i'm gonna try and make yet another doctors appointment to get tested for lyme. watch them laugh me out the door yet again.

shughes,

It's really important that you send your test to the right lab. Igenex in California is currently the better one. Your average lab will undoubtedly not produce a positive when there is, in fact one. It's very common and the reason people get progressively worse, crippled and ultimately in some cases, Cancer or brain encephalitis. (I'm not spell checking here so bear me out) You can have the blood drawn at your lab and call Igenex first to have them send the test package they should use to send it there. Your insurance might not cover it, so check that out. Your primary physician should be okay with this and if he/she isn't, then flip them the bird and find another.

Kritts (p.s. what are your other symptoms?)

Shues,,,if you are talkin about the smaller black hairs that come out of the follicle, fold over and go back in the follicle,,then YES,,,
I had a bunch on my upper legs(lap area) folded hairs with red spots,,with white flakes surrounding the hair itself,,and had noticed this last year and thought it was my jeans being too tight in the legs..I do LOTS of walking here on the farm..
It pretty much co-incides when I think I first contracted the brunt of this mess,,but before I was confirmed as knowing I definatly had this..(test)

Since using lye soap,,they pretty much have dried up and eventually leave a small "sesame seed" that can be scraped off,,leaving the skin to heal proper..
No-one likes dry skin,,but it has helped me alot in being able to get these seeds out of my pores..
I have even resorted to sitting out in the cold for a while with just shorts on to induce skin drying,,but do keep hydrated enough..(drink water),,then lightly scraping the seeds off..I use a credit card as a scraper(Its the only good use for it now))
AWWW the cold do feel good..lol,,I used to hate the cold,,but not now...
The lye soap will expell stuff too,,,lather up and let sit on your skin a while...then rinse..
And I still spend at least 15 minutes a day with a mag glass and tweezers getting all the fake and folded hairs out..

Default DSP cream

Hi everyone,

I saw that some were talking about this cream. I just got mine in the mail. I only put it on my sores. Should I really be putting it all over my body?

Hella

I started using dsp almost 3 years age and yeah, I used it all over my body back then because my legs, tummy, butt, arms, back and face were being bitten and the black specks were everywhere.

Now I only apply it to my face and neck every morning and more often on the few small lesions I have (mostly on my face).

shughes wrote "i've noticed in the past week now that there is a distinct ring of red dots around each mark." Yes! I had this happen to me too! Do the dots rise up from your skin? I seem to remember there were usually eight dots surrounding the original (pimple?). Gosh, this was so long ago that I had forgotten this part of my "M" experience.

I haven't been exposed to the lyme tick but I test positive for lyme. Good luck with your doctor.

In the white light,
~jonsi
