One of the most important thing that many who get better do is FarInfrared treaments. There are many ways to get FIR. This video shows the FIR pad I've been using almost 2 years: Morgellons: FAR Infrared Pads and the Staninger Method videos I've never done the FIR saunas, but people swear by them. This is an excellent site for describing what FIR is and the benefits of it, which are extensive: Health Benefits of Far Infrared For anyone who is struggling and can't seem to find the right treatments to make a significant difference, you have to look into this. There are a number of ways to get FIR - spend sometime googling it. SS

Thanks SS. That was something I wanted to try initially, but I was not able to find any option even remotely affordable for me. If you, or anyone here, know of any inexpensive options please let me know. Among other things I actually tried to find a place in the Los Angeles area that might let you use the saunas by the day or hour, like a day spa. But I was not able to come up with anything.

SS~ Thanks for bringing that up again. I have been intending to seek this out and need to hear things a few times before they take root. Fracty, anti-oxidants and anything making your blood alkaline is the most inexpensive treatment there is. Get into the full sun at least a half hour a day for vitamin D. It's not that difficult to find these remedies. I just did shots with my boyfriend tonite cuz he eats like a frenzied wolf at a jamborie smorgasbord. And wonders why he has acid reflux. The shots were: lemon juice, powdered vitamin C and baking soda. Yum Yum!!! Then I did my own other shot of lemon juice and DE (diatomaceous earth) for another special treat. I'm a-lovin' this. It's so funny! It's all in the paradigm of choice. Know what I mean? Kritts

| Fracty - I am SURE there are FIR saunas that are pay-as-you-go in LA! I can help you research it, but right now I am falling down tired! As soon as I locate somewhere, I will post it on this thread. I had researched them in my area a couple of years ago, and the only one I could find was about 150 miles away. That was because I was only researching FIR. I've been learning about more and more places very close to me by searching health spas, natural healing, Naturopaths, $and the like. By calling these places you might be able to find out about somewhere else through them. Maybe pick up a paper from a health store and look at the ads. Night, all...what an old poop I've become.... | Thanks SS for bringing this up. I noticed Bubba mentioned in her treatments to go for far infrared saunas that reach temp of above 120F. I too have been looking for cheap way to try this treatment. I stumbled on a heater here in UK, in Comet store made by Phillips (good brand) - its 300 Watt at £40. Philips Shop UK - 300 W Infrared muscular pain relief I bought it yesterday and am going to fully test it over the next week. The heat is intense - you place the heater at least 25cm away from skin. The health benefits are scientifically proven to reduce pain and improve blood circulation. They recommend short treatments (15mins) twice a day is more effective than longer ones. If the rays penetrate well below the skin surface, I'm going to study the effect on my larvae load and gonna see if it reduces people itching around me. I will also check any changes in: skin capilary refill, greasiness, pore size. This heater is very lightweight and portable - and even my cat has had two sittings lol. Jo xxxx |

Thanks, Jo - Looks like a great item! Here's a more powerful one: Philips - Infrared muscular pain relief 650W Half body treatment 124cm high - HP3643/01 - Infrared lights - Light therapy - Personal care Trying to find a US distributor. I know Philips products are sold in the US, but maybe not this line. SS

Hi SS, Wow - that's double intensity and bigger. I've had two days of results. I am unable to leach larvae out of hands now - my Johnson's hand cream just seaps in. This is a very noticable early change for the better. If I massage my skin whilst applying rays, I can see the white particles flying off. I'm less itchy all day BUT have more white particles in ski thermals and am making others itch just as much ....or maybe worse?? I think its due to the morg bits being expelled but its early days. added: I've just realised that I'm herxing - started with feeling tired earlier and back ache (kidney niggles) now and feeling sick. Kinda good but wish I didnt have work tomorrow ooops. Hopefully we can find a US distributor Over and out Jo xxx Last edited by Jo; December 1st, 2009 at 07:29 PM. Reason: added herx

I searched quite a bit initially. I even tried day spas, etc. and I was not able to find anything. I am actually north of LA. But if anyone happens to come across anything around here let me know. In the meantime, I will keep doing the other types of cleansing things as mentioned.

ya know... this isn't as good, and I can RARELY bring myself to do it. But a somewhat similar holistic treatment that stimulates the immune system (but not in the same way as FIR) is method one of my holistic doctors prescribed for me a long time ago for something else: Shower in FREEZING water. Let it hit your whole body including the front thighs. Then warm. Repeat a few times. I think you should do that 2 times each day. It helps kick the immune system up to detox. (And FREE!)

Good point Fracty, freezing water can boost the immune system and circulation. The FIR opens the pores to let out the morgs, because of the heat...i guess freezing water will have the opposite effect? Here's an interesting article about the use of FIR which effectively heals skin wounds and bed sores and helps regenerate collagen (in rats anyway lol) Promotive Effects of Far-Infrared Ray on Full-Thickness Skin Wound Healing in Rats -- Toyokawa et al. 228 (6): 724 -- Experimental Biology and Medicine You know what questions coming next....SO can FIR kill insects, fungi, bacteria, viruses? Well, it looks like it's more effective than a warm bath to kill the bacterias e.coli and s.aureus, according to this: CiNii*-* Effect of Far Infrared Ray on Sterilizing of Bacteria what else....dig dig dig Jo xxx
