Something to share re: skin helper, maybe Not for anyone who is allegic to aspirin.
I often read how Pepto Bismol can be used for acne rather than buying the more expensive salicylate acid proucts on the store shelves.
Yesterday I bought the PB and am trying now. I'll post results. The salicylate acid meds. always bring the "fiber highways" out of my skin and they literally can hang from my face.
This reminded me of a book I bought from Reader's Digest a few years ago called, "Extraordinary Uses for Ordinary Things". I am now reading about aspirin (which is basically salicylate acid) as well as willow tree bark being rich in salicin.
One of the aspirin uses in my book is to control dandruff. We know it's not dandruff but it may be useful in helping with the reduction of the biofilm. It says to crush 2 aspirins to a fine powder and add to the normal amount of shampoo one would use, leave on for 1-2 minutes, and do this each time you wash your hair.
For a pimple it says to crush one aspirin and moisten with a bit of water, then place on blemish, let sit for 2 minutes and wash off. It says it will reduce redness also.
It does not say the strength of the aspirin but I assume it is regular adult strength.
I don't know if this info will be of any use, but sometimes more info. can jog something from someone else. Either via what they may have read someplace or a whole new aspect of their own!!
