| Has anyone used Neem? I have tried a lot of products and prescriptions to no avail, but have had the best response using neem soap 20%, shampoo and lotion from Theraneem, but can't say I'm symptom free yet. There is definitely a life-cycle pattern going on. I'd like to find a laundry soap and household cleaner that will kill them, so looking for suggestions. I haven't found a neem-based laundry soap yet. Bug Arrest was ok but still not 100% cure. Thanks for your replies. |

| Hi avivadiva, I have had good luck with safe solutions mint enzyme cleaner mixed with water. I spray everywhere with it! I also put some in my shampoo at times and put the soapy water on my body, can't hurt. We don't all have the same thing so it might not do for you what it does for me. I don't have lesions. My main problem these days is on the head and that is considerably less than it was. I have been using the kosher salt in my shampoo also. don't know for sure what is helping, but I will take it whatever it is! DDForgot to mention that we use borax and small amount of ammonia in the wash...lemon ammonia. |

| This appears to possibly be a new item on supermarket shelves. It's called J.R. Watkins Menthol Camphor. It's a spray containing menthol and eucalyptus -- these are both stuff the morgie bugs hate. I sprayed it on the remains of a big lesion (tiny little lesions left) and it burned for 20 seconds badly, then I had a "refreshing" light feeling in the lesions. I could feel this pleasant refreshing sensation going up my veins from underneath the lesion. It seemed to help a little. I am now using it today to spray areas of skin where the morgellons is trying to start new lesions. As for new lesions, I find that when I discourage the morgies enuf in one lesions, they pack up and move in the blood vessels and try to establish a new home in an area nearby. Fortunately, they're more vulnerable in their new location as they have yet to dig in. It also seems that the longer the morgies have to stay in the blood stream before resurfacing as a skin lesion, the less survival rate they have. If I'm on heavy medication, I get the feeling the moving morgies may only be able to hold their breath about 24 hours before dying. |

| this thread has been extremely helpful in many ways! thx to all who contributed. i can say that these things are not liking some of the things i've very recently begun to use (in the past two days recently). dr bronners soap - i assume due to the menthol almond oil - my main skin moisturizer. i slaaather this stuff all over and it perhaps is suffocating things....? i get a lot of black specks soon after using it. diatomaceous earth - my itching actually increased quite a bit after using it. my guess is i'm pushing these things out quite rapidly and they are attempting to escape to my skins surface. green tea - last night after drinking a two-bag brew i poured some of the last bit from the bottom of the cup on several layers of tissue and put this over my mouth/jaw/chin area. i feel asleep with it on. when i woke up, i found it next to me and inspected it. it was covered in small dark and light sediment and granules. and my skin, well, its the best its looked in months! today i bought: colloidal silver and probiotics ![]() purge purge purge!!!!!! i'm definitely going to start using borax again after reading the success here with laundry. i noticed this morning my son's sheets are covered in white and clear fibers. i have two cats, but they do not go in his bed ever. scary to see that he's sleeping in this!! he's also on DE and probiotics. what is sad to me though is that his father will most certainly not provide him with these when he is with him every other week. so i do what i can. thx all!! |

| Hello Baldchick! I was basically bald for awhile also, my hair just was at a standstill for years another very strange sympton one of many! your sentence about the D.E was Deadon! i believe they are coming to the surface also i've experienced that itchiness many times in the past! but it is absolutely important to remove as much as you can it definitely makes a difference. may i suggest using a shampoo that contains zinc also.keep on keeping on! | thx robin! i still am bald. have been my whole life due to alopecia. my son has a full head though. so IYO, if i'm feeling more tingling now since the DE could be pushing them out, how long do you think its reasonable before expecting a decrease in sensations? |

| Hi, Have you noticed any bad side effects from the DE? Are you using it in your carpet as well as internally? I have some of this and bought a spreader too. I took a couple of spoonfuls a couple of times, but have not given it to kids. I'm in this mode of getting things, taking them for a bit and then becoming terrified that I am going to do something that is going to do harm. So, I would be really interested in what your experience is with this or if anyone has some indepth info that says this stuff is safe for humans. I wash our laundry in borax, salt and dr. bronners and have seen a great inprovement. I would like to know if I could safely add amonia to this mixture? I should start another thread. I Just today I have went and purchased a cart load of gallon and bigger size zip lock bags. I looked pretty strange walking through the store, but you should see the looks I get when I wipe out the shelves in the store of salt, epsoms and baking soda etc. Anyway, I am going to try to bag up (after washing) the main clothes that we are using and see if I can further keep "them" OUT inbetween wearing things. I have been washing things so much that I keep thinking at any minute my washing machine is going to "die" and so there will be another expense! I sure wish the powers that be would figure out what this is. Or anyone figure is out like the guy in Germany or even Scab here! THere has got to be an end to this "thing" have its day in the sun! I hope I don't sound like whining....because I know everyone here is sick to one degree or another, but I am struggling with fatigue all in the face of doing these type of "strange" projects that would wear me out even when I felt fine. I am finding that I am so much stronger than I ever thought that I was and am trying to find the good in that realization and try to let M teach me something worthwhile all at the same time of getting RID of it! I know that after this experience there will be certain things that I never will again take for granted! VS.....thinking about rejoining under a different name since I don't think I can simply change this one, but I don't know???. I was in a very terrified mode when I decided to join this group as my "name" shows. I think I'll change it to Salty! ha ha! ![]() |

| Very early on, I used ammonia in the wash with no ill effects, but there are those who would point out the fact that ammonia is a poison, and so it's probably not a good idea, especially with the kids. I now use pinesol, or the generic version, (as long as it contains the 8.75% pine oil), as suggested by Scabdragger. I've been using it for months and it works well. Also use it for all cleaning, dilute it and put it in a spray bottle, counter tops, cupboards, and in the office and car. I used DE early on as well, and found it to be minimally effective except for using it to deworm my dogs. Additionally, you have to be very careful about inhaling it, and with my grandkids around all the time, it wasn't a good option. I use borax in the steam cleaner, and sprinkle it on the rugs, sweep it in with a broom, let sit and then vacuum. I was a lot like you very early on. I washed literally every piece of clothing we owned. Every piece that was left after purging at least half of our clothes that I deemed useless or not wearable. I wash all of my things seperately, and never wear anything more than one time before washing. My husband is different, as I can't get him to do the same, although he's a bit better these days. I bought the Ziploc Big Bags to store clothing in Ziploc® Brand Big Bags are available in three big sizes: •L equivalent to 3 Gallon (11.4L) 1.25 FT. x 1.25 FT. (38.1cm x 38.1cm) 5ct. •XL equivalent to 10 Gallon (37.8L) 2 FT. x 1.7 FT. (60cm x 51 cm) 4ct. •XXL equivalent to 20 Gallon (75.7L) 2 FT. x 2.7 FT. (60cm x 82 cm) 3ct But now I can store my clothing in my drawers, as long as I wipe them down regularly with Pinesol and throw a couple of lavender-scented moth balls in. Take heart --- things do get better. I think one of the best things you can do is to clean well, laundery regularly, and try to watch the diet, as I think you may have been. Oregano oil, olive leaf extract are two things that had a pretty positive effect early on, as well as a lot of fresh garlic and onions. There are several natural methods that have given folks varying levels of success. Just remember that if you're using essential oils or herbs, you have to give them time to work. I saw results start in 3 - 5 weeks. L-glutamine supplements may help you with the anxiety and depression, as well as brain fog. Try to stay calm. Things do get better. The manic, frenzied cleaning and laundering early on are no longer a part of my life. I clean regularly and very thoroughly, and my hygenic practices are still pretty intense, but nowhere near what I did when I was panicked. Quote:
