Anyone had results with b12 shots in repairing morg/lyme damage to myelin sheath?

Hey all,

When I first had symptoms of this disease I went to every doctor possible. There was one DO doctor that I found very good and better then the rest. She said that i probably needed b12 shots for my M issue. We b12 really seems to help when your immune system is so down.

Anyone taking lithium by chance, either? Its supposed to protect your brain from the lyme toxins.

It might be worth a try.

Paddel I believe LC is using a natural form of lithium you buy OTC. Sorry I don't remember the name of it, but if you do an advanced search perhaps you can find the thread she started about it. Personally I would not use it as I am hypothyroid and it can interfere with thyroid function. There is an alternative doctor, Jonathan Wright, who uses the natural type of lithium. Perhaps if you google his name on the internet you might find a discussion by him of this supplement.

I have been researching vulnerabilities in nematodes and one of their main weaknesses is MINERALS. In fact, they have done studies in mineral-rich areas (especially areas polluted by heavy metals) - and the nematodes don't survive there very well.

I was doing MediWeightloss which involves vitamin B12 shots and AMino Acids etc. I can tell you I felt really great energy-wise, emotionally and physically. I need to start going back, but haven't been there in a few months due to the cost and other financial obligations I've come across. I don't know to what extent it actually helped internally from a medical or scientific stand point, but I know I hadn't felt that great in years! I know my immune system the last few years hasn't been doing much. I would get every cold....everything going around and after beginning the weight loss program I wasn't sick once, and I relate that to both the B shots and the low carb eating (I ate all natural no low carb bars or anything full of chemicals)!

I too am hypothyroid, in fact I believe Morgellons caused it for me. In one of the studies they found quite a few people with Morgellons were Hypothyroid, or had Hashimotos disease. In addition some of them had nodules on their parathyroid. I have a nodule also...I often wonder if it isn't a mass of these damn fibers

I think you're right on again. I believe the masses are fungus or other organisms in a holding cyst. Cysts and tumors are the same, IMHO. Check out Dr. Simoncini's Cancer is a fungus - the book by Dr. T. Simoncini

I am also hypothyroid...just found out...and believe it was caused by M.

I haven't read the book but have seen his theories on the internet. I totally agree with you.

I think my SIL has Morgs also. She's had thyroid problems way before I did. She only put on a small amount of weight. I put on a lot...almost 40 lbs. Anyway I only recently realized that I have Morgs, but believe I've had it obliviously for a while. My SIL about a year ago started getting lesions all over her arms. At the same time she started gaining weight. They couldn't figure out what was going on with her skin and finally tried antibiotics and treated it as though it was a hair follicle infection. Her arms have since cleared but I really wonder if she doesn't have Morgellons. I am way overdue to see my Endocrinologist but I am going to make an appointment with her. In the meantime I am going to mail her the study with a letter stating that it seems many people who are hypothyroid also have Morgs. Maybe she'll find other patients that have it. The makers of Synthroid must be loving Morgellons disease.
