| I am currently undergoing treatment at the clinic in Augsburg and am just coming to the end of antibiotics. During this period various interesting things have happened. I am now getting smears or dirty marks on my hands as though I have handled an inky newspaper or leaking pen. I get big smears of blue and sometimes black. Just three weeks ago I had black smears across the top of my ankles and yesterday soot type smears on fingers. This morning as I write this, I notice quite a large patch of (very) faint blue across the palm of my left hand. I cannot find a reference of anyone else getting this so would be interested in hearing from anyone else with this "development". The smears started when I began the final course: 14 days of oral Flagyl. I believe my dot/smear syndrome is getting worse. However, despite the one occasion of black smears on my ankle I think my feet and upper legs are now clear of marks. Certainly my bed is virtually free of dots. So, are the smears a sign of a worsening condition or an improving one? My doctor in Augsburg is confident it will all disappear in a few weeks. I wish I had his confidence (though it is based on past experience of successes apparently). Also since stopping the Clarithromycin and starting on Flagyl the pain at the back of my head - that disappeared - is now back. Maybe Clari works and Flagyl doesn't. |

| Hey Barrie, never had those black/blue smears..hmm..don't know at the moment what that could be. Sounds strange..... Do you take any additional supplements to boost your immune system or to detox? Kat |

| Hi Kat Yes, I haven't seen anyone mention this before - neither here nor on other sites. Actually if you look very carefully at the black smears especially after gently wiping them you see dozens possibly hundreds of extremely small particles possibly dots in miniature. The blue stuff is possibly the same kind of thing. Without a microscope I can't say for sure. BTW, when were you finally rid of symptoms - at the end of antibiotics or a few weeks/months later? Something has got rid of things lower down so one has to presume the same can be done with my hands. Whether that "something" is the Augsburg treatment, the brief period I was on salt/vit c, or all the washing in salt/H2O2 and Head and Shoulders shampoo or all combined, I do not know. | Hi Barrie, I thought you might be interested to read some old comments (2+) years I made about parasites that I saw when I was first ill with morgellons. To fill you in I became very ill with Morgellons symptoms when I ate a fish which had a neurotoxin, most likely ciguatera: Quote:

| Hi Slovenia, I have had this happen a few times myself, but very slight. It has been on my fingers or arm and I remember thinking, where did that come from. It's always been for me black and ash like. At the time I had not been any place near ashes. I always thought it was connected to morgs but I am one who feels pretty much everything leads back to it. I feel it is a spontaneous spewing out of this THING in one of its stages. Oh, I think its been on my face too, forehead. Gosh, I have no idea if this is a beginning sign or end. I still have this disease big time with no end in sight. I hope your treatment helps you get better and wanted to let you know you are not alone in having that specific symptom. Claudia |

| I forgot to add this to my prior post here, but yes, when I was first ill, I used to have sudden crops of what looked like black soot appear, mostly on my hands. At that time it would sometimes come off as a small lump stuck together. I used to throw it into the toilet (if handy). Wow. I would stand back and watch this furious whirling commence as the lump broke apart and and spread to the outer edges of the toilet, filling the entire bowl with whatever this was. I know that surface tension on water can cause movement, but IMO it was more than that to see the huge numbers of broken apart lump spin and move in different areas, each tiny dot creating its own whirling dervish movement. It would often last a minute or even two. It was truly horrifying to think this was inside at some point. Sometimes this would crop up on my hands when I was cooking. I think someone mentioned using gloves for cooking, and if this is a regular occurrence it is good suggestion. Over time this has stopped, though for me who at that time had no Western drugs it lasted longer than a few weeks. If it was fungus, it surely did move.
