Anyone try water ionizer (alkaline/acid water?)

This stuff is called Kangen water in Japan. the process produces two types of water:

alkaline - over 11ph with ORP -400 to -800
acidic - 2.3-2.9ph - great for skin, hair and cleaning

we're in the experimental stages at the moment with this stuff but it seems that we can eliminate ALL CLEANERS from the household, as well as shampoo, toothpaste, etc and replace it with ... WATER

Try a shower filter it is a lot cheaper...... I find that rinsing my hair with distilled water helps some.

We have very hard water and can't afford a water softner. It seems to make my hair feel softer. When I get lazy and stop doing it I seem to have more problems with my hair and scalp. I hope at some point I can afford one of the better shower filters but right now it is not an option. Chlorine in the water is also very bad for your hair.

I'll give the distilled water rinse a shot. As trivial as I know it is compared to other symptoms, what the morgs have done to my hair breaks my heart. It used to be so smooth and soft; my best feature and worst vanity. Now it looks like the wicked witch of the north and is just as prickly. Anything to soften it up.

I would encourage anyone interested in this kangen water thing to google it and do your research before you rush off to order some...

Here is what I know. The machine costs about $4000.00. There is an ongoing upkeep cost for the machine.

It makes several strengths of alkaline and acid water. It supposedly cleanses the body. It is a point of use machine, not whole house.

I had an opportunity to use some of the water for a while, didn't see much, if any difference.

Do your research you may be surprized.

It will help some who believe and not others. If it were a water filter, whole house. I'd be in.

Alkalinity is a KEY to this disease... 8.0 is a target for us.
