Help! Is it safe to use Hydrogen Peroxide in ears?

My left ear has been really clogged for a few days and it feels like there's fluid in it. I've been spraying Eco-Vie in it to no avail. I'm currently out of ear drops ... is it safe to use HP in ears until I'm up to running to the store? Thanks so much.

Don't know on safety but I've done it and my ear quit hurting. There's alot to be said with the hydrogen peroxide protocol. If you purchase this in the (i think) 35% form at the pharmacy, you can actually drink it. now there's something to try. i have not done it yet but thought it would be cool to try just before my ionic treatment.

I have been using hydrogen peroxide 3% and alcohol 91% in my ears for years. I spray either/or on a Q-tip and clean my ear...don't go in too far...you can use a dropper and put it in, also. The alcohol helps to dry up the fluid, so I use this more. I got this from several home remedy books. They both are used to treat fungal ear infections. Also, my vet told me to use alcohol in my pets ears, as well. When treating an infection use a dropper, tilt your head and put in enough drops to fill the ear canal. Then tilt your head the other way to let the solution pour out. One book says to mix half white vinegar and half alcohol and use as stated above. Growth of fungi is inhibited in this acidic environment. If the ear canal is really irritated, use half vinegar and half water.

You can use a blow dryer to dry your ears to avoid stagnant water in the ear canal. If your ears get too dry, you can drop certain oils in before bedtime, swimming, or showering. Hope this helps. I have had fluid in my ears on/off for years.

Frequent swimmers that get problems with fungal ear infections are told to use half vinegar and half hydrogen peroxide as drops in their ears after being in the water, or shower every single time, to clear all liquid OUT of their ears and prevent further repeat fungal infections from the frequent moisture exposure. It can be VERY drying... (maybe you can alternate with some DSP on a Q-tip?) but it is safe to use.

Well, Jannyjo just posted while I was writing this, and she describes even better how to apply these drops & all. Right-on, girl. and all those combos are effective, depends which you prefer & burn less, work best, feel best for you.

Like everyone has mentioned here, it is safe to use with safety in mind. As we all know, ear pains can be pretty nasty. Its on top of my list of bad pains including back pains and head aches. People have been using H2O2 for a very long time in their ears for various reasons. I remember something I read about a while ago about this. Regardless if it helps or not, I just love how the Germans are always experimenting with these things.

Thank you SO much for getting back to me so quickly. Per your suggestions, I've put both HP and Vinegar in my ear and it's clearing up a bit, but now itchy as hell!!! Also, am developing another dreaded skin fungus (red rashes) on that side of my face. When that happened in another part of my body, it seemed like the only thing that my skin could tolerate was vaseline -- any other cream or lotion made it worse. So have been applying lots of vaseline -- but not in time to keep the rashes from GETTING BIGGER (ugh). Also, just ran out of EV -- still waiting for new shipment. I know you guys all know this but I just need a little primal scream THIS DISEASE IS TORTURE!!!!!

I posted a reply to this and it got lost in cyberspace, I guess. In short...if you have a fungal infection, Walmart has a product called "Boudreaux's Butt Paste"...it is a diaper rash ointment that contains zinc oxide, boric acid, castor oil, mineral oil, paraffin, peruvian balsam and petrolatum. It is very soothing and the boric acid will kill the fungus. If it is gentle enough for a baby's bottom then it might be worth a try. I have used it on/off, when I can find it...many people "swear-by-it" and it sells out fast.

When my ears bother me I have used hydrogen peroxide three percent in them with no adverse side effects.

I have used 35% hydrogen peroxide in my ears with no real ill affects but it will hurt if you use it too much. I have had the best results the very best with GSE, Grapefruit seed extract, also rub it all over the ear, after awhile the ear will let go of the lesion that has developed in the outside ear itself. Yup Yup.

If you have tinnitus the volume will go up with any treatmentin the ears but also after several should actually go down. The outside ear can be treated with hydrogen peroxide 35% to show EXACTLY where the lesions are hiding. When they are exposed treat with GSE and the inner ears will heal up quicker. GSE in the ears will STOP itching over a short time. if you notice irritation stop use a healing salve like DESITIN 40% zinc oxide or just vasaline.

There is somthing that will happen to the skin on the ear once that is the outer skin a brown looking mess will not up and come off, its like an outter shell, belive me you can not see it untill you use the GSE. The ear will become super tender to actual hurting. The lesion will also show itself and then with the use of 35% hydrogen peroxide and GSE you can CURE the ea6r.

Here is the proof that you have done somthing to the invader, after all this, the skin will not shrivel up turn brown and fall off and neither will the GSE bother the skin. Skin is like a sponge, when you put the GSE on ,in and behind the ear the oil is absorbed into the whole area keeping the ear itch free and maybe your head and brain free from a larger FIBROUS INTERNAL GROWTH taking hold. GSE is a wonder!!! Thank you whoever came up with it. Here is the cheapest site for it $55 a 32 ounce bottle, DO NOT BUY THE SMALL SIZE. GSE so far is the BEST I have used to expose and treat, Hydrogen peroxide 35% is the best killer, DMSO is another and believe me I have tried alot of stuff. If you are going to use them do not go in blind ASK or read.

If you are afraid of anything that is not handed to you by a doctor( even though there are warnings of a slow death of some kind on their prescribed drugs) then stay away from alternatives. The use of alternatives is a science in itself. The old saying ( If a little is good than ALOT is better is never the answer) be careful in all you do. I have dam near killed myself from treatment, the worst though was the doctors drugs, one after another more and more kinds all at once, yes my friends the DOCTOR'S tried to kill me. I stopped taking all their drugs and started over by myself, the results are excellent but take forever, there are no MAGIC doctor pills for this, well if there are we have not been treated with them, that is for sure!!!! Question, has anyone found a good high blood pressure medication drug for this, OR a natural alternative, not a maybe thing but a positive affect substance. I have not been taking care of this lately as I had a HYBERBARIC CHAMBER that stopped the high blood pressure all together. The window in the bag actually got a leak so no more blood pressure control.
