| Hey all, The borna virus has been linked to bipolar disorder and there is an antiviral that treats it. Read more about it here. It seems also the rife frequencies for viruses seem to inhibit it. The Borna Disease Virus Tragedy Conservation Finance paddel |

| This is what someone posted about borna virus Question Dr Goldberg, I came across your website and this website through my research into the Borna Virus. I'm 26 years old, and for the past five years, I've been suffering with cognitive impairment and resulting anxiety and depression. My symptoms started seemingly out of nowhere; in a blink of an eye, I went from graduating with over a 4.0 at Cornell University, being a happy-go-lucky kid, and having not much of a care in the world, to someone who has trouble reading, formulating thoughts and sentences (verbal and written), and has severe stress and, at times, pretty sever depression as a result. I've seen neurologists, psychiatrists, and most recently, a Lyme disease expert. I've had MRIs and EEGs done, all of which were unremarkable. Moreover, I've been put on anti-anxiety meds, anti-depressants, migraine, and ADD meds, none of which were able to solve my cognitive problems. Today I write to you on antibiotics for the treatment of Lyme disease, despite the Lyme tests coming back negative (the doctor said Lyme tests have a high false negative rate, and thus, I may still have Lyme's disease regardless of the negative test results), and Amandadine, for the treatment of Borna Virus, which I was diagnosed with about three weeks ago by a laboratory in Germany. That long history aside, my questions are as follows: What is your "non"- professional opinion (see disclaimer at bottom of page) with respect to (1) the existence of the Borna Virus in humans, (2) Borna Virus being the cause of depression, anxiety, and/or cognitive impairment, and (3) the use of Amandadine to treat the Borna Virus, assuming you believe it exists in humans and causes any or all of the ailments provided above? Oh and also, are you, or do you someone that is, like Dr. House on the TV show "House," because I live near your office and I could really use someone like that... Thanks a bunch, in advance, for your help! Regards, M Last edited by paddel; June 24th, 2009 at 09:25 PM. |

| Very interesting post Paddel. I think that more and more mental illnesses will be connected to disease organisms. There is already a connection that has been suggested between toxoplasmosis and schizophrenia. So where does that leave us? Most likely some of us could have what appear to be mental disturbances with this illness. And probably that is the result of some unidentified disease organism attacking the brain. Whatever weaknesses the body has show up differently from person to person. So not everyone with the same illness will have the same exact symptoms. I know in my own case that every time I get the flu I will get depressed. It is well known that many people suffer depression for weeks after the initial flu infection has passed. What we do need are cures for viral infections which so far seem to be quite elusive. It could be possible that effective treatments for viral infections would greatly reduce Morgellons symptoms.

| Hey Paul, Who's Dr. Goldberg? I like the part where he asks about finding a doctor like Dr. House. I'd love to find a lawer like Alan Shore in Boston Legal also. And of course, a mate who is like David E. Kelly (writer, producer for Boston Legal, Ally McBeal, others).... I agree with TC...so many viruses, bacteria, and all the rest cause similar symptoms. It's hard to pinpoint. I've never even heard of that virus...going to look it up. I believe that sometimes the same virus has different names because of morphing into different strains, (which I believe to be the case in the tick diseases....Borrellia bergdorferi, Babesia, Bartonella, Ehrlichia....) Just my very uneducated in the field opinion. But ya know...it very well COULD be this virus.....causing EVERYTHING....!!! How knows, and definitely worth looking into. Thanks for the heads up! xoxox Kritts |
