I copied out two sections from their site and see there can be a problem if a person is zinc deficient (that is if you are being injected with it). Otherwise, it sounds okay to me. If you find a link, let's see the research. Thanks. Below is text taken from: Salicylic acid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "As with other beta hydroxy acids, salicylic acid is a key ingredient in many skin-care products for the treatment of acne, psoriasis, calluses, corns, keratosis pilaris, and warts.[11] It works as both a keratolytic and comedolytic agent by causing the cells of the epidermis to shed more readily, opening clogged pores and neutralizing bacteria within, preventing pores from clogging up again by constricting pore diameter, and allowing room for new cell growth.[12] Because of its effect on skin cells, salicylic acid is used in several shampoos used to treat dandruff. Use of concentrated solutions of salicylic acid may cause hyperpigmentation on unpretreated skin for those with darker skin types (Fitzpatrick phototypes IV, V, VI), as well as with the lack of use of a broad spectrum sunblock.[13][14]" Safety: Salicylic acid has an ototoxic effect by inhibiting prestin.[16] It can induce transient hearing loss in zinc-deficient individuals. This finding is based on clinical studies with rats. An injection of salicylic acid induced hearing loss in zinc-deficient rats, while a simultaneous injection of zinc reversed the hearing loss. An injection of magnesium in the zinc-deficient rats did not reverse the salicylic acid-induced hearing loss. Salicylic acid is used to treat acne, warts and other dermatological problems. There are no studies specifically looking at topical salicylic acid in pregnancy. Oral salicylic acid has not been associated with an increase in malformations if used during the first trimester, but use in late pregnancy has been associated with bleeding, especially intracranial bleeding.[17] The risks of aspirin late in pregnancy are probably not relevant for a topical exposure to salicylic acid, even late in the pregnancy, because of its low systemic levels. Topical salicylic acid is common in many over-the-counter dermatological agents, and the lack of adverse reports suggests a low teratogenic potential.[18] |

| Hello everyone, I don't know if these have been referenced yet but I'm kinda sick and really don't have the energy to find out so here goes. Sorry if redundant. Mint Shampoos with tea tree: 1. Paul Mitchell 10 oz. @ $13.00 Burned it was so strong. Too much peppermint for my taste. Made me shiver. Buy Paul Mitchell TeaTree Special Shampoo Online at drugstore.com 2. Jason Tea Tree shampoo 17.5 oz @ $6.00 Jason Cosmetics Tea Tree Oil Shampoo 17.5 fl oz Shampoo - Swanson Health Products No ill effects but no positive ones either. Neutral on this product. Did nothing to help Morgellons on my scalp. 3. Lice-R-Gone 8 oz. @ $21.00 LICE R GONE - SAFE SOLUTIONS - 1 *BOTTLE; 8OZ Fabulous result. Even kept it on overnight on scalp and feet. Makes them head for the hills. Cost is extremely high. Not within long term budget concerns for ongoing problems. 4. Organix Tea Tree Mint Shampoo 13oz @ $5.94 Walmart.com: Organix Tea Tree Mint Shampoo, 13 fl oz: Hair Care Just tried. Not too strong. Seems to work well without overwhelming you with burning mint. | Dye your hair I have M on my face not my head. Maybe because I dye mine ? The last time I did, my scalp felt crusty at one place, Maybe it drew some out, I don't know but it washed out the next day. |

| OK, I just talked to a hunter, whos ex-wife got worms in her scalp about 10 years ago. They were on an ATV and she fell off into a mud puddle. She went to a Derm and he gave her something that cleared it up in a week. Unfortunately we can't ask her What it was or which of two derms she saw. The hunter said it was a parasite of some kind and it happened where the cows graze and drink. I beleive a good ol Florida Boy Doctor, would be the best type of Dr to see. I will do what I can, to find out more about this case. I don't have any lesions to show a dr and I didn't ever feel I had worms in my scalp, so I can't go to both drs. |

| You can cure the scalp of most anything with GSE, you have to go slow, easy, trying the gentle attack or you will be sorry. I can put strait GSE on my head, but my scalp if perfect now, perfect. Cry babys beware, strait GSE on your infected scalp will make youy cry, scream and go to the hospital. It is not the corrosive effect on skin as I can rub it all over my skin and scalp. It is the infected scalp that will do you in. It will take you a couple of weeks to a month to work up to strait GSE. You will have to try different strengths of water GSE mixture to find the right starting point. The right starting point is irritation, not unbearable reaction. Cry babys and idiots do NOT try this, you will give the reaction a bad name, people that want a perfect scalp back without bio slime, lesions, funny hair, hair falling out, work slowly but surly, idiots that have already hurt yourselves do not give advice because you can not follow directions. You will be stealing a worthy tool from others because you are lacking in brains and caution. ![]() |

| I never thought to google "scalp worms" even though early on in this disease I saw a worm in my scalp which looked like a piece of spaghetti (it was at least four or more inches in length). Anyway, here's what I found on google. I am also adding at the bottom of this post a link to Robin's thread here on MDR about these types of worms: All About Worms All About How to Get Rid of Flat Worms in the Scalp Published by head worm, Anne P. Mitchell Summary: Although flatworms are considered the simplest of all worm groups, there are roughly 20,000 species in this group and they can do serious harm to humans. Flatworms (Red Planaria) can be microscopic or several feet long. They are typically rust-colored and thin and they do not have a skeleton or formal respiratory system. Although flatworms are considered the simplest of all worm groups, there are roughly 20,000 species in this group and they can do serious harm to humans. Flatworms (Red Planaria) can be microscopic or several feet long. They are typically rust-colored and thin and they do not have a skeleton or formal respiratory system. Flatworms are either free living or parasitic. Parasitic flatworms live off of another living thing, while free living flatworms live off of the earth or other environment. The most common type of parasitic flatworm in humans is the tapeworm. If left untreated, the tapeworm can reach up to three feet long and it can have as many as 90 segments. Flatworms reproduce at an alarming rate because all the flatworm has to do to reproduce is split in two! There are no mating rituals and no eggs to hatch. When the flatworm splits, it immediately forms a new flatworm, and so on and so on, until you have thousands of flatworms in your system. This means that the flatworms will not only feed off of the contents of your intestines, they may feed off of different parts of your system. They might even migrate to the head area – even the scalp. There are many ways to determine if you have flatworms in your head or scalp, but the main detection method is by sight. Simply search the scalp and head area for worms. There are a number of physical symptoms to look out for as well. These include: Loss of appetite Abdominal discomfort Rashes Insomnia Eye pain Protein deficiency Gas Constipation Mental dullness Fever Coughing Nervousness Vomiting Nausea Anemia Stomach bloating Bloody stools Weakness Chills Diarrhea Fatigue It is important to keep in mind that these symptoms are also common symptoms for many other diseases and conditions, so its best to consult a physician for an accurate diagnosis. A physician will test for parasites by searching the head and scalp area and by taking a feces sample. He will examine it for parasites and/or eggs. Fortunately, the vast majority of parasites can be eliminated by using some of the same techniques or by taking some of the same types of medications or antibiotics. Parasites can be eliminated from the body through the use of colon cleansers and/or colonics, by taking several rounds of antibiotics or medications as prescribed by a physician or by using a number of different herbal or natural remedies. It’s best to consult an herbalist for the very best herbal remedies to get rid of flatworms in the intestines and scalp. But if you want to find a remedy on your own, there are several popular (and effective) remedies consisting of the following combinations of herbs and ingredients: Black walnut leaves, wormwood, quassia, cloves, male fern Capsicum, wormwood, sage Cramp bark, pumpkin seed, capsicum, thyme, garlic Black walnut, pine needles, sassafras In general, herbal remedies should be taken orally for a minimum of two weeks. Topical treatments typically come in the form of shampoos and sprays that contain the following active ingredients: Piperonyl Butoxide Permethrin Lindane Malathion Crotamiton It is important to note that some of these ingredients are considered poisonous in high concentrations, so they are banned in certain states. Please consult your physician for an accurate diagnosis and treatment path. Some individuals may complain of re-infection, so it is very important to change your eating habits immediately – even if you only see flatworms in the scalp. Chances are, they are also in your system. It’s best not to go back to your regular eating habits in order to prevent re-infection. Certain foods, spices, and beverages might help to ward off parasite infections or to keep you from becoming infected through food or water sources. These include: Cranberry juice High-fiber foods Pumpkin seeds Garlic Pomegranates Apple cider vinegar Figs Bottled or distilled water Thoroughly cooked meats and seafood Organic fruits and vegetables, washed thoroughly Avoid the following foods and activities if at all possible: Undercooked meats Chestnuts Sugar Watercress Refined carbohydrates Swimming in lakes, rivers, an streams Using the microwave to cook meats And finally, never underestimate the power of clean hands! You should always wash your hands thoroughly after using the bathroom whether it is in your home or in a public place. In addition, wash kitchen utensils and countertops with hot soapy water after each use and wear gloves when changing your cats litter box or cleaning up after your pets. | One last thing BEE, let your face heal up a little, you do not want to go from zero to 100 in one second, like I said before slow, easy, as it works its wonders you will see but go slow. LET YOUR SKIN HEAL, go after it again when your skin looks better again, you will see it will look better and better as time goes on. Maybe you can just use the coconut oil for awhile. You may take a heavy(2 box) bakeing soda bath with hot water, then some aloe over the skin. Whatever you do to heal it FIRST. This takes time but you can see results quickly, I know you want to be well today but it just does not work that way. |

| BO, I'm soon going to take the Albendazole the good Dr gave me. I've tried natural remedies for 5 years. Now I want to try the meds. I did try horse dewormer, but not in the proper regimen.I'm going for Quality of life not Quanity anymore. I tried all the oils, Except GSE. I'll get some. |

| I have not found many things that do work that are lovey dovey, sweet and easy concoctions. You do the doctors drugs, lets see the result, nobody has had any healing anything with wormer, many say they feel a little better but thats it. I am 95% well, from the worst situation to what I am now. I can hold back almost all conditions. People that say they are cured from this, I will bet them 100 dollars of mine to their ten they are not. If I were you and I was looking for a wormer I would do the IVERMECTIN first as many swear to its good effects, I took it without any affects at all, good or bad. What exactly are you trying to get rid of here, what symptom. |

| BO,Lately I get small lesions on my face that don't amount to much and from time to time I see parasites in BM, threadworms or young roundworms and something that looks like a horse tapeworm. Which are triangle and greenish. I've seen all kinds over the years I've been treating myself. I feel they are causing these lesions and fungus in the system. I've tried horse ivermectin and praziquantel. I know if a horse has a bad case of worms they can become and Do become, allergic to bugs, then fungus sets it and they can lose all their hair. If they get over the parasite infection the bug allergy can go away. When I first got my one horse, I figured out he was allergic to nats. But after having him awhile and deworming him every 8 weeks, he shows no skin problems or allergies for many years. I just feel if I/we didn't have parasites, we'd have a fighting chance.Whatever it is. Just like animals, they will not be all they can be without deworming. |
