| I know people are on both sides of the fence here. Do baths help you? If so, what do you use? I think they help me. Not only do they pull stuff out of the skin (I don't notice anything spreading, but I do put stuff in the bath to help with that), but it really relaxes me. Most of the time, I use epsom salts, sea salt, and alfalfa tablets. |

| Yes, Gigi, I use baths with the salts and sometimes eucalyptus....... Glad you brought this up again because I was just recently thinking that showers will probably be worse for us because it is the basic water...untreated. Baths with salt, however...will not only kill critters on your body and in your body and help the lesions heal, but will also render the water going into your body from the pores most likely less affected by pathogens. | I did use epsom salt BUT Baking Soda is the ticket. You can put the box of baking soda in a plastic bowl, mix with water stand in your nice hot bath and scrub your body, wash your hair with the paste of baking soda, lay down in the tub and let it rinse off into the tub water. then soak in it. You can also use a bit of tea tree oil in the water, do it before you sleep and then when you wake look at your skin , look for deep lines. These lines will get less and less, they are part of the developed underskin system!!! Last edited by Baraka Obam; June 19th, 2009 at 11:59 PM. |

| We use Miracle II soap in the bath and it is the only soap I use on my hair and body. I have a water filter for my shower. When I was really sick I used ground cumin as a body scrub. I was amazed at the white fibers left in the bath water (same results for my daughter). Baths definitely help us! Whatever you decide to bathe in (Miracle II, baking soda, epsom salt, eucalyptus, tea tree oil, wine vinegar) I suggest rinsing off in a shower with a water filter. Itwl, ~jonsi

| hmm, I'm glad to hear those baths with adding different 'stuff' really seems to help some of you. Maybe I'm wrong? Probably...I was only talking about my own experience and how I think that bathing might not be a good idea due to spreading 'this' all over...well, I'm still sticking to my showers...of course a good water filter helps here alot...which I have..so maybe that's the reason? Either way, everyone has to find out what helps the most and do what he/she has to do to get better again, yes? Katinka |

| Hey Katink... If you have a water filter...is it just from your shower head? Try putting one on your tub faucet! INeedhelp.....great suggestion also from Baraka. I forgot about the baking soda and tea tree oil. We have a thread started on water purification systems somewhere...under 'water' maybe? so far I think the ozone system seems best. Kritters |

| Bottom line I think is if you have a filter in the shower source, then that's fine. Otherwise, a bath probably would be better since you can put in decontaminating ingredients as mentioned above. Kritts |

| Katinka - I read a story about Mel, who also has Morgellons, and was able to become symptom-free via his protocol. In his story, he initially said baths gave him relief, but he realized, the hot water was opening his pores and spreading the disease over other parts of his body. He said when he started adding things to the bath, this stopped. He added clorox and alfalfa. I would not recommend any using clorox, however... I believe this could be very damaging!! |

| When I first got sick & found Bubba's treatment steps here, I used the baths with salt & hydrogen peroxide. At first it really helped-stuff came out like mad, then it sort of got to be a time problem & didn't seem to be helping that much, so I quit for the most part unless I'm really having a bad skin day. I also used baths of eco-vie, which never helped. I found out that we have a high chlorine content in our water & it was probably killing the good stuff in the eco-vie. Now I spray with eco-vie reconstituted in distilled water when needed. Anyway, now I mostly shower. HOWEVER, I take a cup of salt, sometimes mixed with Hydrogen peroxide, sometimes mixed with lemon juice, sometimes mixed with body wash made of all the good, organic essential oils. I wet down, then scrub from head to toe with the salt, stand for about 3 min. then wash off with the organic body wash & shampoo, etc. It really feels great every morning. I would recommend it, especially for those with time constraints or who can't bathe for some reason. Can't wait to try the baking soda thing, though- sounds good! Me |
