| I don't know if I have morgellons. At first I thought I just had some invisible mites crawling, biting and stinging all over my body including in my scalp and after 2 years I'm now thinking it may be Morgellons even though I have no fibers coming out of my skin, but from what I read you can still have morgellons without the fibers (Lucky me) . What I have found that has worked well for me is the products from demodex solutions. They have bar soap, hair and body lotion, face cream and shampoo. I started using the products religiously February 1st and my symptoms got worse. In fact my whole body broke out in small red sores they looked like hundreds of ant bites and then eventually cleared up. It is now May. I will warn you it is a slow go.... you will experience three steps forward, two steps back, but you have to keep perservering and using it. This past month I added using Permetherin cream and that helped also. I can now shower only once a day instead of 2-3 times and I can easily sleep without being attacked at night anymore. I literally didn't sleep for 2 years because of this plague now I get 8-12 hours a night. To me these products are a blessing. Will they help you? I really hope so and I think it's worth a try. The secret is to keep using them even when you think they are not working. It took me until April to get ahold on the biting and crawling but it was worth it. Will this cure you? No, but it may give you some peace until we get some answers. I also think everyone should email or call the CDC if you have not already and let them know of your symptoms. Hopefully they will come out with some solid answers SOON so we can all move forward instead of sitting in limbo. 1-800-CDC-INFO |

| Hi Texas, Welcome! Please post some more, check out old posts and ask questions! Thank you for the phone number. Most of us have lost any hope in the CDC's study. However, I called the number 1-800-CDC-INFO and got to talk to an actual person! She was really sweet and as helpful as she could be. I explained to her that I have Morgellons. She was able to pull up the CDC study on Morgellons and stated "M" was unidentified. She wasn't able to pull up on her computer where the study was being run (which we all know to be in California with Kaiser Perm.), however she is aware of "morgellons". i asked her to pass on the word to anyone else that suffers from "M" to go to this site (Morgellons Disease Research). After the phone call you are given the option to take a survey on the info received. I left my number in the hope that someone will call me back (because I hope to bring further awareness to "Morgellons"). Tex, as far as new products being introduced by new members, be careful here. ![]() In the white light. ~jonsi

| "Tex, as far as new products being introduced by new members, be careful here" Jonsi - Thanks for stating that. In particular, watch out for "new products" that claim to cure not only Morgellons but AIDS, cancer, etc - and cost a fortune. I have heard about something recently that costs over $150 a month and claims to cure (with NO published studies to support this claim). Then this "cure" has to be taken FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! Doesn't sound like a "cure" to me - sounds like a scam. I hope the FDA catches wind of this and does something about these people pushing this stuff. It is criminal. SS PS - "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". Last edited by Sadsack; May 7th, 2009 at 11:46 AM. Reason: added PS |

| Absolutely! I completely agree about promoting products that claim to cure Morgellons. There is no cure YET. I don't think what I am using will cure me at all, however, the products make my skin and hair squeaky clean and puts the breaks on the biting crawling and itching which for me is a GODSEND until the CDC comes back with something. It keeps me sane. The products are for demodex mites infestation. That is not what I have but it still helps me a lot. The bar soap is Acarid Removing and the Shampoo has Densefruit Pittany Root bark Extract, Light Yellow Sophora Root Extract. It says it is formulated to elimate the organisms responsible for the itch and irritation of demodicosis of the scalp. It lifts and removes exisiting organisms, and protects against reinfestation. The Lotion for scalp and body has Honeysuckle Extract, Chinese dittany bark Extract, bisabolol, Angelica Extract etc... I'm not naming all the ingredients just the first few, but anyone who has the biting and crawling this may give them some relief. I was literally going insane before I found this stuff and I've been using it ever since February. The crawling and biting on me is down to minimal but it took a couple months of continuous use to get me where I am. Last month I added the Permetherin Cream to everything else at night. They also have some GREAT face cream(s): The Xin fumanling creme is a medicated cosmetic which is capable of eliminating demodex mites and germs, stopping the itch and pains, relieving inflammation. And they have another one which works well too. I wouldn't promote it if I wasn't having such good results with it. I just received another box of stuff today so I am reading off the ingredients. I spend $260 a month on everything. I'm so glad you had some headway with the CDC I emailed them about what I was experiencing and told them I thought it was Morgellons. I read on some website that the CDC was getting 100 calls/emails a day about Morgellons. I don't know if it is true but the more they are aware of us the more they will be about finding WTF is going on. I encourage EVERYONE to CALL OR EMAIL. We have to stay positive that they will find a cure for us. Last edited by Texas; May 8th, 2009 at 05:01 AM. |
