Default Morgellans veteran has good relief suggestions

I just found this website and sure wish I had this years ago when I was suffering so much with my first outbreak of lesions, that lasted about 2 years. I was convinced this was some kind of "bug", so I did everything for lice, scabies, infections, yeast. I probably spent over 10K on all kinds of alternative therapies. Most effective was this:

Boric Acid Powder- sprinkle all over 2x-3x day.
Clenzology from the Garden of Life- I used soap and facial solution with salt in a daily bath for about 6 months to a year. When I get a new lesion I use it right away and put the facial solution undiluted on the lesion.
Decolorized Iodine- Ask the pharmacist. If I start to get a lesion I apply daily after bath.

I used to have probably over 1000 lesions all over my body, itching like crazy, depressed, suicidal, celibate, isolative, baffled by what to do, no help from medical except to tell me I am NUTS. About the time I started to get over this a doctor gave me some IM Cortisone injections three times. This may or may not have helped. I have tried a lot of stuff and the above items are so cheap, so simple, so effective. Please someone else try and let me know. If I can save one person from the terrible suffering I went through///it will be some compensation.

About every 6 months now (I have had this for over 6 years), I get what looks like a bug bite or a pimple, except it itches. I apply some iodine for as long as it takes to get rid of it (sometimes about 6 months).

At my worse, suicidal point, I decided to adopt a kind of way out there philosophy that helped me get through this. I decided that I had volunteered to come to earth and undergo this terrible suffering to help atone for the world. In other words, I was a volunteer to help the world and this was part of my pupose in this incarnation. Just a twist in the way you think of it.

Welcome Cuz...!

We need our 'veterans' to help guide us, that's for sure. Yes, I too, have thought about how this is turning out to be my 'life's work mission'... my purpose in getting this... ? is it to take my God-given talent of 'language'... and be a translator or intermediary for this disease, to try and 'communicate' it?

The demon's work is backfiring - we're finding ourselves, instead of staying lost.

Default Its so true, I have found myself, LOL.

I have had enough time alone to do all of this for myself, numba 1. become a healer 2. become a scientist 3. become a phyciatrist.

The healer has done fine, the scientist needs some help, the phyciatrist he has worked out all the problems. The phyciatrist said, go back in time and find all that bothers you, change what you dislike about yourself, if you can, if you can't change, accept yourself for what you are, and things that happen for what they are, if there are people that don't like what you are, too bad for them, they are the ones that now need to adapt, as you have done the best you are capable of.

This disease is a soul stealer. its the pits of hell, sort of, really many of us feel fine but are rendered a bit less handsom or pretty than we were. This destroys self confidence, and self confindence is one of the most important things in this society.

cusuzq03 its good to see you made it thru the hard times and are now here to lend a helping hand!!!

Cusuz:
I personally feel that's why I have it in this incarnation as well, though I know that's going to upset some folks to hear. I had to share that with ya.
Do you use any anti-parasitics and if so, which ones, at what dosage. PM me if you wish to share any info you don't feel you can post here.

Many blessings for sharing.

cusuzq03 -

Are you talking about boric acid around in your house? I did that for awhile, but never knew whether it helped or not (year and a half ago).

Do/did you have pets?

Default Boric Acid Poisoning

Folks, please be very careful, especially if you have young children or pets.

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/002485.htm
Boric acid poisoning

Definition

Boric acid is a dangerous poison. Poisoning from this chemical can be acute or chronic. Acute boric acid poisoning usually occurs when someone swallows powdered roach-killing products that contain the chemical.

Chronic poisoning occurs in those who are repeatedly exposed to boric acid. For example, in the past, boric acid was used to disinfect and treat wounds. Patients who received such treatment over and over again got sick, and some died.

This is for information only and not for use in the treatment or management of an actual poison exposure. If you have an exposure, you should call your local emergency number (such as 911) or the National Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222.

Poisonous Ingredient

Boric acid

Where Found
* Antiseptics and astringents
* Enamels and glazes
* Glass fiber manufacturing
* Medicated powders
* Skin lotions
* Some paints
* Some rodent and ant pesticides
* Photography chemicals
* Powders to kill roaches

Note: This list may not be all inclusive.

Symptoms of poisoning

The main symptoms of boric acid poisoning are blue-green vomit, diarrhea, and a bright red rash on the skin. Other symptoms may include:

* Blisters
* Collapse
* Coma
* Convulsions
* Drowsiness
* Fever
* Lack of desire to do anything
* Low blood pressure
* Significantly decreased urine output (or none)
* Sloughing of skin
* Twitching of facial muscles, arms, hands, legs, and feet

Home Care

If the chemical is on the skin, remove by washing the area thoroughly.

If the chemical was swallowed, seek medical treatment immediately.

Before Calling Emergency

Determine the following information:

* The patient's age, weight, and condition
* The name of the product (ingredients and strengths if known)
* The time it was swallowed
* The amount swallowed

Poison Control

The National Poison Control Center (1-800-222-1222) can be called from anywhere in the United States. This national hotline number will let you talk to experts in poisoning. They will give you further instructions.

This is a free and confidential service. All local poison control centers in the United States use this national number. You should call if you have any questions about poisoning or poison prevention. It does NOT need to be an emergency. You can call for any reason, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Take the container with you to the hospital, if possible.

See: Poison control center - emergency number

What to Expect at the Emergency Room

The health care provider will measure and monitor the patient's vital signs, including temperature, pulse, breathing rate, and blood pressure. Treatment depends on the individual symptoms. The patient may receive:

* Dialysis
* Fluids by mouth or IV
* Tube through the mouth into the stomach to wash out the stomach (gastric lavage)

Note: Activated charcoal does not effectively treat (absorb) boric acid.

Outlook (Prognosis)

The infant death rate from boric acid poisonings is high. However, boric acid poisoning is considerably rarer than in the past because the substance is no longer used as a disinfectant in nurseries. It is also no longer commonly used in medical preparations. Boric acid is an ingredient in some vaginal suppositories used for yeast infections, although this is NOT a standard treatment.

Default Medusa vs the Morgellon bug- A call for a scientifc key

Like sooooo many drugs we use to cure diseases, it is a matter of killing the bug without killing the host! Chemotherapy is poisonous, antibiotics can be poisonous, Vitamin A, D, & E can be poisonous! DOSAGE is the key and that takes experimentation.

I just read a thread where TCM and Sadsack were ruffling each others feathers over reproducible scientific proof vs outside-the-box assertions on the possible cause/cure of this affliction. As a trained scientist, I agree with BOTH sides, for when seeking the proper cure and dosage for this medical mystery (or any of its symbiotic co-infections) we MUST rely on what is known and THEN spring forth into UNknown territory with a logical progression of thinking. That gets respect and HOPEFULLY will draw funding from those who can be convinced that we aren't a bunch of DOPes

Most of us have used our own bodies as experimental beakers, knowingly putting poisons in or on it, because we're driven by fear that this "thing" will take us out before we get an edge on it. Thus we try toxic substances, bizarre alternative therapies (zapper, urine drinking, body talk tapping) and just pray we don't poison/electrocute/mutilate ourselves in the process. So we need to organize, if you haven't already, a scientific flow chart, of sorts.

Read on:

Remember that many cures are found by accident (penicillin, citronella) One of US (while in our crazy extraterrestrial-existential brain fog!) may accidentally find the cure as well! We are especially powerful when we put our heads together as one formidable Medusa against this multifaceted bug. IS THERE a section of this site that collects info, in a logical table format, on therapies that were efficacious for various members? (Some one please point me in that direction if so.) WHEN different therapies work for someone, we should compile them on a flow chart and compare the commonality between the various "cures" linked to the various symptoms...and maybe.....just maybe... we can sort this out, like the blind men and the elephant! We will piece together what this creature IS by each of us "feeling out" some aspect (chemical, physical) of what maims or kills it, and use that "cure" as a type of identifying descriptor, such as "thermophilic bacteria" (heat loving,) thermophobic bacteria (heat hating,) "iron toxic" bacteria and so on. [If interested in MY "cure", follow sarothra's thread about the "Facinating New Discovery" and read about my "iron bath".]

This line of thinking may help us devise a logical flow chart, like the botanical key used in plant identification, by which we could more accurately direct an inquiring, miserable member towards a form of relief for what ails him/her based on the symptoms. (Is this practicing medicine without a license???????!!!!!)

TCM, I am sure you understand the botanical key concept. Do you have any quick paste-ins to show others what I am referring to? BTW, keep holding down the "burden of proof" camp, and Sadsack keep pushing at the edge of the envelope! Your differences create a balance and stimulates more brain cell activity in us ALL!

I LOVE how smart you all are.

Hi Juell,
interesting thought. That's a good idea I think. Like a medical poll or a medicine / treatment list?
We could easily compare what helps for one or the other and find out what helped the best to do further research on that.
Plus "newcomers" would have an A1 information place.
Excellent!

Default More about my journey

I did everything you are all doing and I was frantic...I cleaned like you wouldn't beleive, did laundry daily, washing even my pillows daily, used the enzymatic killer in bath, home spray, DE sprinkled all over, vacuumed, put DMSO all over body, used pet shampoo, got veterinarian Ivermectin and took lethal doses for months, special diets all organic, I was a total freak about my environment, including car and workspace, my clothing, my skin, used NEEM a lot (stinky). I don't know if any of this stuff did a bit of good. But I used a lot of vet web sites and got antibiotics and stuff from Mexico pharmacies on the web. Again was just trying to do anything to be proactive because there was no medical help and it was just unbeleivable agony with the itching and disfigurement and the shame. We are like the modern lepers!!

I would take my bath with the Clenzology products then sprinkle boric acid powder all over my body/ no lotions, oils or anything else. I sprinkled boric acid powder on my bed. And yes I had 2 dogs and a cat. Boric Acid used to be used in the old days for wounds. My dad even made a solution diluted and used as eye drops. I had vaginal itching so badly that I inserted capsules of boric acid vaginally daily for about a year (I was celibate with a thousand sores all over my body, and didn't feel very SEXY!!). In looking at the clenzology solution that comes with the package the main ingredient was iodine, so I now put iodine on itchy spots and they go away after awhile. I currently have NO LESIONS and I use regular soap now, and live just like a normal person with no residual psych damage. But beleive me I was totally OCD with this disease...

I am not sure if the disease ran its course or my attitude of "thank you God for allowing me to suffer and atone for the world, let my suffering ease someone elses'", or what I did finally made it go away. I think it is in remission, thank GOD, I don't think it ever goes completely away.
