Default Antiperspirant on lesions yields good results

Hi all,
Been using antiperspirant on and around lesions (at least 2 inches around each lesion) - Where the lesions are extra bad I put a big glob of it on, and the lesion will suck it up, then I reapply.
Here's what I figured. Morgies don't like : menthol, ammonia, intense heat, garlic/ginger/tumeric (spicy spices if you will), baking soda, menthol shaving cream (you can see the "forms" when you leave it on), epsom salts, regular or sea salt, hydrogen peroxide...and the list goes on.
I thought, what type of effect might these things have in common?
Then I answered myself, well, they are very drying, or they "pull" - "draw" into themselves. What could I get that's really drying? I just thought about good old antiperspirant - the results have been absolutely amazing. At least for me. I also can put this on my toddlers. They think it's fun to roll that around on their skin.
Cheap, easy to get and some even have menthol!

Default Sorry here come the 20 question game

Deoderant... What kind did you try and what were the results, over how many applications and days of applications? Are your lesions deep or just wide?

I have drysol should I try it right now???? I thought of trying it before bc it keeps fluids from exiting the adrenal glands but was afraid to use it on open sores since just on regular skin it can send you through the roof screaming or hooping (hopping and ooohhhing at the same time trying to fan it n stop the burning...
Thank you!!!!
XOXO,
Meg

Hi Meg
I just picked up some on Saturday. It was Gillette Clinical (ingredient: 20% aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex) - It was real expresive ($9.99) for one "stick" -
I'll be honest with you, the results were amazing! I don't want to get overexcited about it but I used up the whole tube putting it on lesions (me and my 2 toddlers) - their lesions are much less than mine, the worst one covers my girl's whole chin. It is red, not open. Itchy and painful.
For me, I'm a mess with lesions. I have one on my arm that is about an inch and a half long and 3/4 to 1 inch wide. It's a monster. I have them going pretty much all across my neck, in the back of my neck, forehead - I look like I was in a bad knife fight and then fell into the brambles where there was poison ivy! I wonder what people think when they see me - probably meth...
Anyway, I found a bunch of antiperspirants 2 for $6.00 and looked at the ingredients - the only difference is the percentage of that ingredient drops to 18 or 19% - I went ahead and bought the cheaper ones) - same amazing results. It doesn't hurt, but I got the "fresh" scents not the menthol - although the menthol might help, who knows!
Anyway, if you're going to try it I recommend reapplying it went you see it as "soaked in" - your healthy skin will not soak it up like the morgie areas. It's very important that you put it on in a wide area around the lesion too (at least 2 inches) and the lesion itself too. It you see that a certain area is soaking it up more than another area, put more on THERE.
As some people on this forum know I have seen the "forms" of the Morgellon parasite rise up in shaving cream (because they have to breathe, their form shows up when you put a "paste" of some kind on the skin - if they are alive you will see the pattern - it looks like a head, with a back and tail) This "animals" are between 4 to 8 inches long.
If you think I have wacky ideas, Ok, but I know what I saw - and continue to see.
I think it's important to do the shaving cream test (put it on your hand at least) so you can familiarize yourself with what the form looks like. Why? Because it draws up more from it's "head" area. If you try putting shaving cream on your skin, you might want to try the Menthol kind. Morgies hate menthol, and because they "draw" this up, it pulls all that menthol into its body.
Sorry if this seems "out there" - but IT IS TRUE.

Ummm not crazy bc I am now sitting here with the drysol (the highest level made)several coats on the base then my a thick coat of my Dove (20%) Clinical Protection on that then I took the Duct tape and wrapped it all up in a 3inch area all the way around my arm, my chest is the same way!
Everywhere else I have the DE powder rubbed in as a thick layer.
OMG my husband is going to come to bed LHAOROTF when he sees me not that it would suprise his since I had the duct tape over my entire body sat. I looked like the tin man w/o his hat! Now I just look like a defunkatated Sporty Spice stuck in Detroit, MI!
Ohhh the day we come back and read through the archives! Too bad we couldn't get a group photo going!
Give you the update in the am! If I ever go to sleep with this stuff on!
LMAO
XOXO,
Meg

hi sarothra and meg,

I really worry about the long term affects of 20% aluminum, or zinc that are ingredients in deodorant. The brain barrier does not recognize aluminum or zinc as a heavy metals. Some say this can lead to autism (through innoculations), and alzheimer's disease.

I personally do not use any deodorant that has zinc in it. I use a deodorant stone (salts). You can find this at a whole food store, organic food store... they are hard to find on the East coast!

Please be careful,

Itwl,
~jonsi

Hi Jonsi,
Thanks for the heads up about the aluminum...
I've only done this once with the kids and 48 hours for myself.
I also bought some of the safe antiperspirant and will try that tomorrow. It's the Crystal stick which is basically alum.
I tried to find straight alum but it's hard to find.
I have not used "regular" antiperspirant myself for over 15 years. I use "Kiss My Face" - patchouli (very nice scent).
I felt like I need the "big guns" to start with.

Hi sarothra

You need to care about yourself, girlfriend!!! WE are so important in figuring this "Morgellons" out! I'm thankful you are here and are posting information and getting involved.

Aluminum is not healthy! Sorry if I confused you.

Patchouli smells great!

Thanks Jonsi, I should get familiar with the diff. products, I tried all natural loong ago but didn't do it for me maybe now with the drysol they with work...
The naturals are all new to me so we have been starting to research the companies and what it good for you just not natural since I sure those who shop organic full time already now, unfort, us that have no clue really have no clue. Anyway Josh usually does the grocery shopping and this week we are doing it together to get into the best new routine, since it looks like it takes more time, esp. since we want to support locals as much as poss.

The deoderant does work I finally thing I pulled out the rest of the pods over the last 2 hours, yeah maybe I can finish healing now... time will tell! I did leave on the combo all night and both were dried out this AM... with the pods poking through then I pulled out the biggest gotton ball looking thinwith the pod in the middle holy cow the think was huge!
VERY IMPORTANT TO PLACE SEVERAL INCHES OUTSIDE THE LESION!

Thank you sarothra, this was the key to it I think!!!! I have always smothered the lesion not the area around it where it grows into!
This may not be healthy but I will do it again if it works only to heal these last two lesions, since I am heading into my 8th month...
I will try and get the info regarding the negative affects from the ingrediants.

XOXO,
Meg

Hi Meg,
So glad it worked for you! It has been drying the lesions up for me. Unfortunately, it seems whenever we "win" in one area they try to conquer us in another.
Yes, am very aware that Aluminum is totally not OK. I just wanted to try it and will continue for awhile but will limit my exposure. There are some natural products - there is even a spray - that contains Alum, which might do the trick too. I'm using it already but can't report on whether it's effective because at this point I'm still using the aluminum stuff too.
Isn't it amazing? They ARE HUGE! With the antiperspirant I have started to see the layers.
Layer One (these go from the outside IN)
1. Really disgusting looking yellowish infection looking "skin" - ( I put skin in quotes because I don't think most of what is appearing is "me")
2. Red - not blood red - CHERRY RED - I think it's photorhabdus luminesins (sp?)
bacteria. (this is where I see the small white larva)
3. Black specks progressing to solid black (the outer layers of this organisms body)
4. Lime green (very weird looking color of green - I've seen green before in my body associated with certain types of infection. This color is different - it is BRIGHT GREEN (this is insides of the animal itself - I say animal because if I say organism some might assume I mean a bacteria or protozoa - I'm talking about a tadpole-looking water-nymph looking thing, with 2 bulges for eyes) -The creature I'm seeing is JUST LIKE KATINKA's PICTURE OF "BLACK FUNGUS" on hair, except most of mine are bigger than that. She captured a dead baby one. Go to "forum jump" and submenu "morgellon's pictures" and go to "black fungus on hair" - This IS THE ANIMAL I AM SEEING!!!!
Very important photograph. These animals grow very big and are BRIGHT GREEN when alive. This one is dead so it's shriveled up looking and black. Notice the eye bulges on both sides of it's "head" - Those eye bulges manifest as "brown freckles" and later progress to red smaller size lesions. The lesions are located in what would be the middle of its body. I KNEW WHAT I WAS SEEING HAD ARMS! Look at its arms! - Creepy - these things are growing (I have one I kid you not it's 8 inches long - conservative estimate) - When it gets bigger the tail fans out and you will see multiple "lines" - like tracks.
Anyway, I go off subject...
