Default Notcrazynowwhat! I just posted a sim. post on the DE thread

No you are not crazy. I do think that it has to do with certain ppl the immune system when they are already weak the infection can take over and then the symptoms happen so slow and over time that we miss the signs until it is in a depressing uncontrollable state. I also think that it could be genetic weakness of sometype that may also play a role in not being able to fight this off like other's can.
If what we have is parasite related and they have always been a constant in our lives and surroundings, in which there are some ppl affected with minor negative symptoms, some with major negative symptoms and others that are not affected with symptoms at all, who live in the same house, this shows that symptoms can change, progress, or lessen, but it does not show that those without symptoms may or maynot be infected, or their human body may not allow the infection to spread through their system the infection could be contained, somehow. We don't know if a person is a carrier like a clotting disorder you may carry the gene but will not clot, however if 2 carriers reproduce then there is a 50% their offspring will have the gene and pass the gene on and/or clot and pass the gene on. Now with some genes there are more than 1 type of change possible, there is a gene that can be heterozygist (sorry for sp, not sure the right way) or homozygist, hetero you are only partial to being a carrier or clotter or both, but homo genes put you're at a much higher level/risk, 99.99% to be both carrier, clotter, and on top of that you add a 90% chance to continue to clot after the 1st clot. This is not to the T as far as the exact n total definition involved, but the fastest and easiest way to help explain how different ppl may be affected vs. ppl who are not and those in between. Although the info given is not completely accurate it is true over all. Bc this is a genetic disorder that I have, and that 3 of 4 of my siblings have, I am the only carrier, I did pass it onto my offspring and a multiple x's clotter, the other 2 have the gene and could pass it on, but may not and neither have clotted, and the 1 does not have the gene mutation at all, so does not need to be on blood thinners and is allowed to take the pill and any other meds, that may increase the risk of clotting, and can't pass on what she does not have. Where if I take meds that can cause clotting, I will clot and will more than likely die from any future clots, since I have survived 6 all ready... so my Dr.'s say. Anyway the point is just bc you have a version of a mutated gene does not mean you are guarenteed to be affected, and the same goes for those who DO NOT have the gene, there is no guarentee that they will NOT be affect. A person can still clot even if they do not have a gene that increases the risks. It all depends what other factors play in individual lives.
I hope this gives you a little bit of understanding into how some ppl may be affected and others may not.
I am sorry you have to be another person affected and hope you can use this site to help you move forward as much as I have. Good luck
XOXO,
Meg
P.s. I sprinkle the FG DE in my car to help control the fibers...

Default This spreads by fluids

This disease spreads from fluids, or birth, or filthy hospital tools that are used inside your body that have not been cleaned properly. You will not infect anyone by them being IN your area and even with fluid contact not all manifest the exact same symptoms. We are all here because we see similaritys, not so with all those affected. I have had many partners since I first got this disease and I do not know of any of them yet with lesions, but there are other problems cropping up for them also. When I was first with them strange things also happened to them, (menstration changes, time, amount of blood, length, dryness, pain) hair loss, and other things. I do believe that the menstral changes marks a time of infection for the woman within 6 months, meaning if you had intimate relations 6 months ago and this change happens you most likely got it from that man. It is hard to think that a disease would take this long to affect, but I think that is the period that it takes for the system to build up enough to put out the goo or hormone like fluid, or possibly change the organ that puts out the hormone. I do not know the process but it does take time for this to manifest. it is stealthy.

I agree with Baraka, but also think (or add) the carrier is not only human, we may be infected from insects like flys n tics ect. Nor do I think every person infected will show symptoms, since my husband does not have any and we have been together for 7 yrs. He rarely gets sick, maybe 3 times since we have been together. He may be infected but if he is he hasn't shown any symptoms or changes in skin/health from befire we were together. He only becomes fatigued when he is highly stressed at work, and after a good night of sleep or a nap he is back to normal. he is back to normal. When he has been sick, he recovers fast. Where my son and I take weeks to recover from catching something and then we can be sick again within a few days, again for weeks. If I get sick my husband usually has to take days off to care for the baby bc I can't even get out of bed, and I will sleep for days at a time. My entire body will ache so bad from being sick and or not moving for so many hours but I wont have the energy to walk to the bathroom n back to bed. I will have to wait to build up enough to get there and then going back can be a nightmare. It's only 10 steps away from the bed.

Meg,
That's interesting. Does your husband have dental fillings? I realize most people do, but I just wanted to ask. It has always intrigued me how some people seem immune to diseases or illnesses and some of THOSE people don't even eat as well or take as good care of themselves as I do. I have a friend who sounds like he has the same constitution as your hubby and it pisses me off because he eats nothing but red meat and sweet rolls with the occasional side of frozen peas in butter. He works long hours in a very difficult mental job, never works out, hardly drinks water and keeps on going like the ever ready battery. This is why I wonder what it is about us that is compromising our immune system and not others.

This difference could be the mystery key.

Lightbulb Krits

krits,

He has 1, I just asked him and that is his only cavity, he also has a perm. metal implant thing on the lower teeth/jaw do to injury from football. Another thing is that he had a 2nd surgery back in Jan 08, I was with him the entire time, had to do everything for him, this is when his immune system would have been the lowest even for a month or two after he recovered from the initial surgery affects, yet he still hasn't gotten sick. He doesn't eat healthy but he does work out 5 days a week w/ a personal trainer that comes to the office mon-fri. I do know when I worked out regularly my symptoms were weaker, but 1 day I just got really sick and ended up in the hosp. for a week, this was 2.5yrs ago, and since then I have never been able to recover from the fatique and the symptoms started to become extreme. Sooo where does either of these responses go in your big fat morgies book? Anywhere new?
Really wonder now if that was when my body quit the fight, since b4 the symptoms were speradic and prob. at a 1 or 2 on the scale, when they did spike, even the healing process was not normal b4 but now it's beyond abnormal....
XO,
Meg
